I know some of the older members remember this. But to the newer ones who don't, basically you write 14 songs in 28 days, during the month of February. You basically become an artist and real life songwriters will comment and rate your songs. Some even end up recording the songs and you can even do collaboration with other people. The more popular your songs are the more recognition you get. But everyone who completes the actual song # count is a winner. So are you in? You still have two weeks to start brainstorming! Hooplah!
I'm 2-0 at FAWM, so I am really looking forward to giving it another go. I've actually been in a songwriting slump the last few months so I'm a bit worried. But maybe inspiration will strike. |

Haven't participated before although I've heard of it and known people (here and elsewhere) who have. I think I might give it a shot this year. |

I might give it a shot this year as well. Always seemed fun and I don't have a whole lot going on next month, so it could be worth a shot. |

You should man! Even if you can finish it, it's still a great experience to have people comment on your song and stuff!

I've got an idea for what to do for this. Given my last two FAWMs have ended up yielding a bunch of lyrics with no songs, and a bunch of weird instrumental/noise bits, this year I'm going to try and focus on some marginally more song-oriented stuff, and by the end, compile all the unfinished stuff from the past few years into a weird little album. |

Does anybody know of anything that can achieve this? |

I've decided to go for it! I doubt I'll finish because I have a lot of other stuff to do in February but if I dont succeed I at least was able to try and will have written a few songs. I ordered some recording equipment last month just because I got a fantastic deal on it. Getting that helped convince me to do this because I'll then be forced to write songs to test the equipment out on and get the best sound I can. Should be a blast. |

Super easy to use. Hit upload, choose your file, set your tags, and within moments it's live. |

I use soundcloud. It gets the job done. So who else has started? I've put my first song up today. You can find me on FAWM under the name "Keaton" if you'd like. Although I'll probably eventually post my songs in my personal thread in the music forum here at TRSG. Edited by user 03 February 2013 14:45:00(UTC)

Got some recording lined up for the weekend. Lots of spoken word stuff, as it turns out. And then I hope to compile the audible fruits of the past few FAWMs into a single record called "High Land" Need to work on the artwork, do something a bit more interesting than a colour-manipulated stock photo, but first things first, the music. |
