Editors Notes – Cassie's Corner
The bitchy one herself is getting all thoughtful and stuff in her third new column.

The release of her new single has left Cassie feeling a little vulnerable....but she'll bounce back

Hi guys, and welcome to the third edition of the new Chaos Magazine. It has been a difficult one to get through, what with the Chaos Awards coming up next weekend and myself having been drafted in to help out with the preparations with the boss in LA. Turns out that juggling my own job, that of Mr Stinson and the one where I'm a single mom is not all that easy. Respect to those people who juggle with fire, but I think I've essentially been juggling with an inferno for the last two weeks, so I win clowns! Anyway, I also have to thank you guys for your patience in waiting two weeks for the new Chaos Magazine. I really appreciate it, and I hope you all love it. Blood, sweat and tears has torn through the workload in the last little while, and we have put together something that we think will be a favourite once more.

This edition of your favourite musical media sees Ada von Wannamaker take to the cover. I wanted to ask her what a wanna is, and how she goes about making them. She was here doing a serious interview though, so I decided that sort of thing wouldn't be appropriate. She was a lovely girl though, and so open and honest with us, which was amazing. It made for a fantastic and emotional interview that I think proves again that Chaos Magazine goes hard-hitting, pertinent and on the ball. We know what you guys want to see, and what makes a great read. This magazine also has a preview of next week's award show, along with all the nominations and stuff, and who we think will be the big winners at the Chaos Awards VII. We even look at who will be the best and worst dressed at the awards.

Other inclusions are a little article about the new girl band SYNCO, which saw Leroy Dove's eyes opened to another side of pop music, and more from the rock star test when Alex Ward showed up...and we always knew that would never be pretty. I know that guy well, and he is the living epitome of a party. Anyway, guys, thank you all so much once again for reading, it means a lot to us all, and we hope you love it. Love you all :)

But wait....there's more. Living in a hotel this week and being in the same room as all my kids for the entire time in LA has made me think quite a lot....and now I want to take the chance to share that with you guys. I think a lot of people have expected me to have been the major bitch in this column in the way that I have been for most of my career and my writing period anyway. Well if you've been disappointed, allow me to give you something you might enjoy as I vent my feminist fury at absent husbands. It's important to note first that I realise the vast majority of husbands are loving and wonderful, and I also realise that some women leave their families as well, but I'm drawing from personal experience here.

Everyone will know by now that my husband Jason left me in September of last year, just before I gave birth to our beautiful twins Cole and Gia. Why did he leave? Who knows. Where is he now? I think only Jason could answer that question. The guy has never been in contact, never apologised, never said that he would like to see his kids or anything. In many ways, I suppose I should have expected it huh? I mean, Jason has previous for rejecting his kids. As well as Cole and Gia, he is also the father of Lucas Coyle, Katie Coyle's son, and as far as I know, the only time he saw that kid was the day after it was born. So in total, after having three kids, he has spent a grand total of one hour with them altogether.

It makes me sick to think of a guy doing this. Not to me; I've learned how to look after myself and my kids to the best of my ability, and I do wonderfully for them. I know that there's no way I could have ever do more to make sure my kids are happy and healthy and getting the upbringing they need. No, I feel bad for those three kids who will never know a father, and that's why I ask how someone could do that?

I look into the faces of my babies each night, knowing that their daddy doesn't care, and I cry for them. Then I look at the beautiful eyes of little Cole Summers, my son, and I wonder what turns a guy as bad as Jason obviously is? Those eyes when he looks up at me and smiles his perfect little smile, they know no evil, no badness, and I'm sure all babies are the same, so what turns them into the sort of person who would leave their wife? But more importantly, what could happen to someone to make them dessert their own kids?

I can't answer that question, and there are times when I think about it and it's all I can do not to scream out and shout and swear for all I'm worth at how much I hate Jason Smith. But what would that achieve?

No, I mean....I guess I don't really know what I'm talking about here. I released my new single this week, which talks about all of the facts I've covered in this column and.....bleh I'm just emotional and stuff about it all again. I'm fine, I guess you just struggle to forget. Getting over it and moving on is easy, but forgetting it totally can take a while longer. I just want to say then to all the ladies out there, you are strong, you are tough and you are worth a hell of a lot more than some people give you credit for. Be strong girls, and be yourself :)

Much love and hugs,

Cass xx

Blood of Wecz make triumphant return at the Chaos Awards

UserPostedImage
Scott RH was on top form with Blood of Wecz at the Chaos Awards

On a night that was dominated by the talented and beautiful, and an evening that was most successful for stars such as Isabel Merjos and Riot in the Boulevard, who picked up two awards apiece, it's hard to drag the focus of the Chaos Awards away from the prizes and the many dresses and suits on display from the best and brightest the industry has to offer. Last Sunday night at the Chaos Awards, however, one band managed to steal the limelight, bringing back the focus to themselves and dominating the headlines for a massive performance that not only announced their new album, but also their return to the live scene as a band for the first time in over three years.

The secret headline act at the awards had been a closely guarded secret for more than a month, with speculation and anticipation dominating Twitter in the run up to the event itself. General consensus was that it would be GirlSpice who would be making their re-emergence in the scene, albeit without Nadia Berry, after an announcement just a few weeks before that the three remaining members were considering making a comeback without the global superstar. Rumours were wrong though, and in truth no one could have anticipated what happened when all the smoke and mirrors subsided to reveal the headline act in all their glory.

After the pomp and circumstance of the theatrical opening to the performance, and the numerous hooded figures with candles had been swept to the side, the stage burst into life to show Blood of Wecz together again at last. And boy oh boy did the Chaos Awards appreciate it. I hope we get to hear that opening sing again soon, because for the first minute or so, such was the sound from the crowd, I could barely hear what Blood of Wecz were even playing!

As it happens, the former death metal heroes have returned with an all new sound and attitude. With their new lineup completed by drummer Josh Meyer, Mark Talley and Scott RH looked more than delighted to be back on stage together for the first time in far too long. Flanked by a fantastic new electro-rock sound, Blood of Wecz have pulled themselves into the 21st century with an all new style that is as unique as it is fantastic.

Thumping through three fantastic new tracks, stopping only to tease the crowd with the promise of a new album, Blood of Wecz showed the crowd how live music should be played. They had the entire theatre on its feet, the entirety of the floor bouncing in time with The Cult and Battle Scars, and by the end of the show, there were more than a few smiles plastered across the faces of those in attendance.

All that remains now is for Blood of Wecz to release their all new album...and then we can get to see them again on tour. Jesus.....I can't wait.

Where is everyone going?

Nichole Fischer is one of two stars to have gone missing in the last week

If the immediate headlines of the Chaos Awards were dominated by Blood of Wecz, Riot! And Isabel, the following week since the show closed has undoubtedly had a focus on something a whole lot more sinister. The music industry hasn't had its troubles to seek in the past few months, with band mates of Dark Mass guitarist Ryan Lee reporting the musician missing in December, and Weekend's Billy Khan attacked and beaten by a gang in London the same month.

However, this week, two high-profile female stars have disappeared, again raising fears about the safety of our celebrities. Who is behind all of this violence and disappearing? And why are they doing it? Your guess is as good as ours, but one thing is for sure, we'll be keeping our doors locked for the considerable future, and you should all be looking to carry some mace when heading out if you're even remotely famous.

First of all it was Mykaylah's turn. The R&B singer, famed as being something of a bitch in the world of music, has only recently returned from a self imposed hiatus, and was apparently enjoying a great night at the awards last weekend. However, just hours later it was revealed that the young Brit had failed to return to her hotel, and that her manager was seriously worried about her health, after reports that she had left the Chaos event alone and intoxicated. One fan told us that she saw Mykky leave the theater in the early hours of the morning.

“There were a few of us waiting for autographs at the end of the night, and when she came out, she looked like unsteady on her feet. She didn't stop to sign anything for anyone and then like stumbled off down the street. She didn't look all that healthy, but everyone assumed she would be fine, you know?”

The singer was found later in the week in a dumpster with severe head injuries, ending up in hospital in LA in a medically induced coma as doctors tried to find out the extent of her injuries to work out how bad her trauma is. We all wish Mykaylah the best as she attempts to recover from these horrific and sadistic attacks.

As if one attacked celebrity in a week wasn't enough though, last night it was revealed that another had gone missing. Nichole Fischer, the Vile Hour singer and pianist, best known for her number one album and her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother towards the end of last year, was nowhere to be found, reported MIA by her husband and Acts of Hate vocalist Sam Fischer.

The star is reportedly two months pregnant with the couple's first child, and left no indication as to why she would have disappeared, raising fears that she too has become victim to the celebrity attacker.

But who is behind this all? In the past we have had two scandals featuring serial killer The Purger and later kidnapper StarSlayer144 – who kidnapped Katie Coyle. Is one of these frightening figures back behind this latest spate of disappearances? Or do we have a new problem on our hands? Only time can tell, but we hope that it gets solved as soon as possible to make the streets safe for our favourite celebrities again!

One to Watch in 2013: SYNCO!
By Leroy Dove

UserPostedImage
SYNCO have begun to make their mark on the industry

Okay, so I'll admit it, when we sat down in the editorial meeting this week and Cassie said to me that I was set to write another One to Watch, this time about SYNCO, I couldn't help but think that I'm being drastically misplaced in this office. That or severely punished for something awful I must have done in a past life. I mean, one week they make me write an article about a group of over-tanned and under talented controversy magnets in a boy band, and the next week I'm handed a picture of 5 teenage girls pouting and looking cool.

A look at the SYNCO website and the band's respective Twitter pages did not help my mood on Monday morning. I mean, I like Weekend as much as the next guy...but wow. One of these chicks seems to have a little bit of a love affair going on with...well all of them. Poor girl is truly lovesick. Seeing that caused me to sit and shake my head, despairing for my keyboard and the angry pounding that I was about to deliver to it as I vented my anger at yet another unfortunate group of young people wandering down the wrong path.

And then I listened to the CD that I was provided by the magazine prior to writing this article, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Rock the Night it was called, and what a fantastic song it is! Really, everything that pop music should be was delivered in this one track alone. Lead Alexis Grey has a wonderfully warm and strong voice, while Layla Sanchez and the other girls back her fantastically. The harmonies are as fun as they are catchy, and this was a song that really had me on my feet.

So let me take the time now to apologise to the SYNCO girls. Yes, I judged you, I saw you as a book, looked at the cover and thought “Nah; not for me. Not at all.” I felt bad at first, but then I thought maybe that could be your thing. I mean, without meaning to sound offensive, what we have here is a girl band that has the looks, the pearly white teeth, the glowing green eyes and the perfect shiny hair. Boom, stereotype set in. But when people actually get the chance to hear you, I think most will be at least a bit pleasantly surprised that they are hearing something different, something that a lot more credible than they thought. The element of surprise may well in fact be this band's best weapon.

The long and short of it is this; SYNCO were put together recently by the members of Weekend. That says enough right? That Billy Khan, Oscar Ward et al saw this group of five youngsters as good enough to be their potential heirs to the pop band throne really does speak volumes for their talent. Their voices compliment each other well, and the way they effortlessly bounce off each other throughout their tracks is great.

Often when pop bands are put together by someone other than themselves, for example from talent auditions, it can be a terrible situation, with a lack of chemistry and a bit of a struggle developing any sort of rapport between some of the members, but SYNCO seem to have alleviated such fears straight away. Anyone who saw their performance at the final of the UK X Factor earlier this year can attest to that. The secret to longevity in bands is without doubt the chemistry between members, which can carry them through the years. Just look at the likes of Riot in the Boulevard or Mind. Sure, they are different to SYNCO in every way imaginable, but the fact they had a brotherhood....a sisterhood...whatever, stood them in good stead for many many years together.

The hard facts are simple when you look at them. SYNCO might be the new girls on the block with very little experience, but they are certainly ones to watch without a doubt. The backing they have from Weekend will put them on everyone's radar, as the boys would never support anything or anyone without promise, and SYNCO themselves have all the skills in their locker to really wow.

With their single Rock The Night hitting the top five in the charts at its debut week, and the band's social media power rising weekly, I personally don't think it'll be long until SYNCO potentially rule the world of pop. They have talent, they have style, those voices are absolutely fantastic, and they have a togetherness and a never say die attitude that will serve them well in this business.

The world of pop has been crying out for an all female band since the demise of the likes of Brown Sugar, Hard Sugar, and G2L, and when it comes down to it, SYNCO might just be the answer that we've all been looking to to that problem. Only time will tell, but look out 2013, some new stars are
on their way to kick your butt!

Ada: Trial by Fame (Snap_itshannah)

Ada has had to adapt to life in the music industry very quickly

Late 2012 and early 2013 has brought a lot of change to a music scene that was largely untroubled by newcomers for a long time. Sure, the odd person has come into the industry at various times in the last year or so and made themselves a decent impact, but by and large, we saw many of the same acts dominate for long periods of time. Was it time then for someone to come in at the end of last year and challenge that? To keep everyone on their toes and reaching high rather than resting on their laurels?

It appears so. With Vile Hour coming from nowhere to thump into top spot in the album charts, and bands like Acts of Hate bringing a new element to a metal scene that has been largely lacking for the last few years, it seems that some sort of a shift has been taking place. I mean, who would have ever foreseen something akin to jazz and cabaret taking a number one slot on any chart? Not us...or at least not until the end of 2012.

One star who made a difference on more than one front though came into the music scene without the crash of controversy and fireworks that many choose to make their entrance. She came in with some music, some skills, some talent and merely said “listen to my songs.” It was a refreshing change that endeared her to many people from the off, including famed eccentric and lesbian marrier Erich Hess, who would make the young German his second wife. That spouse's name is Ada Von Wannamaker, and the Bonn born starlet has made an undoubted impact on the industry since her rise to fame earlier in the year, with her music being heralded as some of the finest to come from continental Europe in many a year. Many have even dubbed her “the new Kraftwerk,” although that might be a bit harsh....

Fame comes at a cost though, as we all know. For those of us who have spent time working in this business, it is nothing that we haven't seen before. Being thrust into the spotlight can do strangr things to a person, and the likes of Katie Coyle, Jennifer Armstrong and Dustyn Blue have all faced internal trials and tribulations since their coming to fame. Perhaps one of the worst things about being famous though is that your internal struggles become quite explicitly external, and this is something that Ada has had to deal with in recent months herself.

Revealed to have been placed in rehab to combat a compulsive desire to harm herself, the likeable young German was almost forced like so many before her to live out her troubles in the public eye. Throw in a bitchy little commentator and an ever-present ex wife, and what do you have? A recipe for disaster. Chaos Magazine took the chance to visit Ada to find out how she is coping with it all.

Hi Ada, it's nice to see you. How are you feeling?

”I am doing fantastically, liebling. Danke for asking.”

We won't beat around the bush, you've come across some difficult times of late, tell us about them if you can.

”Yes… Difficult would be an understand statement, if you do not mind me saying so. I started my music career with a band called Mannheim. We had all met in Berlin, and formed there. Just when it seemed like we were starting to get somewhere in this industry, our lead singer… And my boyfriend… Richard, killed himself. I had struggled with self-harm before, but that was the first time since high school that I had purposely inflicted any pain upon myself. Eventually, I began my solo career, and started dating again. That is when I met Erich Hess, who I have recently married. Right after our wedding, I started feeling the depression again. Not because of the wedding, of course. Do not think I regret even for a moment marrying Herr Hess. I love the man more than anything in this world. But… I started thinking about the past, and started questioning Erich’s love for me, which I never should have. We live on a boat, as you may know, with Erica Hess, Erich’s ex-wife, and Erica’s fiancée, Natalya Dobros. It was, and still is, sometimes, very difficult to live on the same boat as his ex-wife. I am sure you understand… One day, I woke up and found that Erich had left. He had gone to Las Vegas with Erica, and never even told me he was leaving. I… I locked myself in my room, and fell into… darkness is the best word I can describe for what I felt. Man has not created a word yet for how depression feels when it is so deep within your soul… When Erich came back, he found me curled up in a ball in the corner of our room. I… I honestly do not remember much of what we said to each other. I just remember… Blood. A lot of blood. It was almost New Years, and I was scheduled to accept an award at the New Year’s Eve Award Ceremony in New York. I picked myself up, went to New York with Erica (who, do not get me wrong, I am fabulous friends with), and then had her drive me to the hospital in the morning.”

You were obviously going through a hard time to end up self-harming, what caused it?

”I could not say what exactly triggered the first time I started cutting myself. I suppose, if I wanted to blame it on anything, it would be my brain. A chemical miscommunication, yes? Or, I suppose, my mother. She left when I was very young after some drama happened in our family. She was not a motherly woman. Very cruel, very mean-spirited, very bitter. My father, who is an absolutely wonderful man, raised me since, and I thank him every day for it.”

You obviously felt like it was something you had to keep a secret for a long time; how long did you live with the secret?

”For a very long time, to be completely honest. In my family, we did not talk about our problems out loud. If you were suffering, you still smiled and pretended everything was okay… When I was thirteen, I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. It is not a very well documented mental disorder, but it is very much like bipolar… But times ten, and many people have it. As Erich has had to learn, little things can set me off. It is something that I have had to deal with for a very long time in silence. But it feels good now to be able to speak about it. It is a disease that affects many people, mainly women in their early twenties, and it is so hard to diagnose and treat. I am hoping that some good will come out of this, and more people will become aware of Borderline Personality Disorder.”

What made you come out and tell the truth in the end?

”I would be lying if I did not say that almost all the progress I have made has been because of Erich. He is a crazy, eccentric, overly dramatic drunk, but he is a wonderful, sweet, and loving man. And I knew it broke his heart every time he found me with new cuts on my arms. I could not keep doing that to him. Erich and Erica were supposed to be the only two people who knew in the beginning, but when Culture Uncut found out, I saw that there was no point in denying the truth. That was when I became more open about my problem.”

Was the reaction from your loved ones the sort of thing you hoped for?

”I think many of them were just shocked. I was told many times that they could not believe that I would ever do something like that. I understand that I have a very cheerful demeanor, and I am a very happy person, most of the time… Like I said before, little things have their ways of getting to me, and when they do, they are hard to stop. I was so afraid that Erich would leave me when he found out. The first time he caught me cutting was before we were married, and I made a promise to him that I would stop, but… I broke that promise. I do not plan to breaking it again.”

At times like that when you've felt so alone, it must be a comfort to know you have people beside you?

”Oh, most definitely. Erich, of course, has been a fantastic friend and husband to me throughout all of this. Erica, and Karoliena Verlinden, who is also one of Erich’s ex-wives, are two of my very best friends. Nichole Shade, and her fiancé, Sam Fischer have just been wonderful people to me, as well as Castor and Nina Drake. And, of course, my fans. I start crying sometimes when I think about how my fans have stood together to comfort me when all of this began. I received cards from them when I was in the hospital. I broke down in tears every time I read one. Fans have a sort of healing power to them when they communicate with you. I made several promises to all of them that I would not hurt myself again, and I will never break those promises neither.”

Through your relationship with the Hess clan, you have something of a crazy yet very supportive group on your side; how is that?

”Fantastic. I do not think I could deal with a group of people standing around me, asking me if I “want to talk about it,” or “how it makes me feel.” I would lose my mind. The Hess clan… They are more about fixing the problem than talking about it. We drink, we smoke, we sail around the world, we write music. We do anything but talk about it. And that is exactly what I need. When people want to sit around and talk about their problems, I feel like we are supposed to be road side shows, competing for who has worse problems than the other one. That is not me, and they understand that.”

You had a run in though with Teresa Campbell. Did that set you back after all the progress you made?

”Honestly, yes. She set me back quite a ways. She said absolutely horrible things to me, about Richard, about Erich, and about myself. She made comments to Erich in front of me of how pretty Karoliena was, and how she did not understand why he would leave her… Later, she even told me that the next time I decided to cut myself, I should “finish the job.” I literally did not leave my room for days. Nobody had ever said such horrible things to me since… Well, since my mother. Teresa publically apologized for what she said later on her website, and I forgive her, but there is no way I will ever forget what she said to me. There is no way I could forget.”

Going into rehab was obviously a big move, as opposed to just trying to work it out yourself. Did you feel it was your only option?

”I had been trying to work it out myself for years, and obviously that was not working well. I felt that – and I do not mean to be overly dramatic here – for me to continue living, I needed to get help. I was on a metaphorical edge, and I was about to jump. Erich wanted for me to stay on the ship with him and get help to come to me, but I could never do that. I needed to get away. I did not want our home to be stained with the memories of psychotherapy and terror.”

But you walked out after just a few days. What happened there?

”It… It is so hard for me to talk about what happened to me in the hospital. Most of it is such a blur. The moment I walked through the doors, I felt like I had given up. When you come from a family that does not ever show negative emotion, the idea of going to a place to get help is completely unheard of. I had had it engraved in my mind for so long that you had to deal with your problems on your own… I felt so weak. I was angry at Erich, angry at my parents, angry at the doctors, and mostly angry at myself. Castor and Nina Drake came to visit me one day. Castor later told me how… dead and lifeless I looked. I lost my spark when I was in there. I had to leave. Culture Uncut blew my exit way out of proportions, though. I did not throw furniture. I did not curse out anybody. But I did have a few choice words for one of the doctors, who told me as I was leaving that I was lost, and needed a hospital to get on the right track. The feeling of literally needing somebody else is not a feeling that I much enjoy… And he was wrong, by the way. Right now, I have a therapist who I speak to on a regular basis, and I am finally on medication that is working. I think everything with me is going to be fine without an extended stay in a hospital.”

Being in the spotlight and the public eye has given a lot of trouble to people with mental health issues in music before, with the likes of Katie Coyle and Cristina Lake both given torrid times. How have you found it?

”Heh, I am no Katie Coyle or Cristina Lake. They are two beautiful, talented women, who have enough history and fans to back them up when faced with any situation. I am just Ada, a little girl from Bonn, Germany, who somehow fell into the hands of fame. If the public wants to make me into some pariah for having mental health problems, then to hell with them. My mental health is not something I can control. If I could, do you think I would choose to feel depressed and hopeless without proper medication? Ridiculous. I have mostly ignored the public eye. My fans, friends, and family still love me, and that is all that matters.”

Do you feel like you have the chance to move on and get over it now?

”I do not think I will ever “move on” and “get over it,” liebling. This is something I will have to live with my entire life. The only thing I really can do is control my emotions better, and learn to live with my past and myself. Which should not be too hard anymore. I have support, I have my music, and I have three refills on my anti-depressants. I think I am going to be okay for a little bit.”

What's the next step for you?

”The next step is to go back to writing. I have my new single coming out soon, which will feature a couple songs about my experiences in the hospital. And then in a few months, I am sure you can expect to see a second album from me. More songs about Erich, my family, my friends… You know, same as always.”

1. Cristina Lake - Blinded By The Weakness
UserPostedImage

Genre: Indie Pop, Baroque Pop
Writers: C.Lake, J.Morello, Rick Nowels
Producers: C. Lake, Rick Nowels
Time Limit: 4:30
Release Date: January 6th, 2013
Label: Daytime Listening

After having such an amazing year in 2012, with a string of successful singles, a top charter album that went on to sell over a million copies, and a sold out co-headlining tour with major recording artist, Julia Volkova, Christina Lake continues that streak with her leading single off her forthcoming third studio album. 'Blinded By The Weakness' is an Indie Pop track that again talks about Lake's past but offers up a new sound and feel that has yet to be done by the singer. The track starts off with a roaring, tribal beat that is quite surprising and much more proclaiming than the first single taken off of her previous album. Seconds of this catchy beat mixed with an aggressive bassline, clapping percussion's, and pounding before the "big sound" slides away with just a more subtle tribal beat taking over as Cristina starts singing. Cristina has this powerful croon to it, as she sounds strong, but vulnerable at the same time. At first listen, the track sounds a bit darker than what we are use to by Lake but needless to say it's a beautiful track with a truthful message. In any case this track is certainly one to inspire and I'm sure that others will agree with me. If this is what Lake has to offer than I personally can't wait for what is to come.

Title: Break The Dawn
Performed By: Michelle Green
Length: 3:52
Genre: Dance/Pop
Written By: M.Green, A.Johnston
Produced By: Jarmel
From The Album: Live To Tell

Time and time again we see artists come and lead such amazing careers that some would envy and then with a snap of a finger they disappear from the music scene altogether. Michele Green is no different from such artists and though she went on to be a judge for Star Factory and was seen here and there, it still wasn't the same. To our great pleasure, she's back with her brand new leading single off her forthcoming third studio album, Live To Tell, and fans couldn't be happier. 'Break The Dawn' is a Dance-pop song about having fun and not caring about the aftermath. The track starts off with a pulsating, jumpy synth, which already gets the listener excited for what happens next. Fifteen seconds into the song, Michelle starts to sing in a throaty, sexy voice in which an English accent can be detected. Green is certainly going out of her element with this one but the club like beat and the way she delivers throughout the song makes you forget all about her usual material. This track is a great choice as a comeback single for Greene and I personally can not wait for her new album. Not to mention the amazing video for this song, which has been announced to release soon, and with the sneak peak of the video so far, its going to be something to talk about I'm sure!

Genre: Alternative Rock, Pop-Punk

The all around amazing American alt-rock band, Riot! In The Boulevard, releases their second single from their #1 third studio album, Crossroads. ‘How Did We Get Here?’ is a song written by Amy Meyer about celebrity culture and the things that people will do in order to stay in the spotlight for as long as possible. The track starts out with a powerful opening lead guitar riff if surrounded by the thunderous drum beats as Amy bellows out over the sounds of the instruments. You don't have to be into Alternative Rock or Pop-punk or even be able to interpretable the song's true message to love this track. Listeners alike will agree that you can't go wrong when you're listening to this group. Riot! has a way of capturing the listeners full attention with their deep thought lyrics and unique sound. They're like Linkin Park, everybody loves them no matter what background they may be from. I don't know a single person that doesn't love them and that's exactly the way Riot! are. Music would be lost without them for they have paved the way for many artists alike. Often times I wonder what more can they do as they already deliver such quality music but instead they get better than before. No one knows what the future holds for Riot! but I'm sure we all hope that they stick around for a very long time. With any luck, they'll keep on surprising us.

Title: Rock The Night
Label: Five Pesky Kids
Genre: Pop, dance-pop
Length: 3:35
Written by: George Jauregui, Alexis Grey
Released: 13th January 2013

Releasing their debut single, Treat Your Girl Right, just a month ago, which landed in the top ten on both digital and airplay, SYNCO are back with their second single. 'Rock The Night' is a Dance-pop song about going on a night out and just losing control and having a good time drinking, dancing and basically rocking the night away. Teaming up with hit producer, Nevaeh Martinez, SYNCO takes a different route from their R&B styled debut single, giving their fans a fun, sexy track that will get your body a moving. The track starts out with no beat and a bunch of people chanting "Rock the night rock rock rock the night" before the beat finally kicks in and the girls begin singing. Its no secret that this girl group call themselves the female version of The Weekend but does their music live up to all the hype? Its too early to call but I will say that they are certainly on their way. Racking up two top 10 singles and scoring a nomination for Best Newcomer for the Chaos Awards VII has me convinced that these girls aren't taking their mentor's advice for granted. The lyrics in this song, however, are a little controversial as some of the topics include but not limited to drinking and other mature topics. Though I think this song is quite nice, I do think that the girls should bring it down a notch. When you're a young girl group and you're appealing to younger fans, you're seen as role models to these girls and therefore you definitely don't want to influence any bad like behavior that their parents won't approve of. Otherwise you'll be hurting your career and your image as well. As long as the girls remember this key factor, I have no doubts that they'll be able to make a name for themselves and go on to do great things with their music.

Recorded: Abbey Road Studios
Label: Chaos Records
Released: February 1st, 2013
Format: CD Single, Digital Download, Airplay
Writer(s): Aimée Rose
Producer: Jimmy Patel

Just when you start to think that all the big hits that play on the radio are starting to sound alike and the music industry seems to be sounding a little stale, someone new comes along with something fresh, reminding us just why we fell in love with music to begin with. Aimée Rose did just that when she introduced herself with her debut single, Moving Mountains. The single went on to claim success, charting in the top 10 on airplay and top 20 on the digital charts. Shortly after, Rose released her second single off her forthcoming album, Visions. 'When It Rains' is a soul, pop, and blues song about moving on from a bad break up with non-regrettable and a revengeful sound to it. The track starts off briefly with guitar playing, followed by drum playing after two seconds into the song. Five seconds into the song, Aimée begins singing the first verse of the song in a soul and funky voice and tone. After already loving her debut single, Moving Mountains, this new single proves to be quite incredible. Serving as part two of what happened in the last song, we are able to capture what happens next to Rose. This track makes for a great heartbreak anthem and I'm sure some will understand just what I mean. Rose is off to a great start thus far and I hope she sticks around to give us that fresh sound that the industry has been desperately looking for.

Recorded - 2012; (Los Angeles)
Genre – Alternative Rock, post-grunge, hard rock
Length – 3:54
Label – Chaos Records
Writer(s) – Julia Volkova and Vin Peters
Producer – Vin Peters

Spreading her wings and becoming a soloist just a year ago, former ElectroDeath member, Julia Volkova, continued her successful streak and teamed up with cutie pie, James Urie, and released, The Bite. A song about an innocent girl that fell in love of this very charming and seductive vampire, but by the time she fell in love with him he just wanted to feed himself of her pure blood and so she’s turned into a vampire and all that she has is a curse, because the male vampire didn’t want her as much as she wanted him. Changing up her sound, this track takes a hard rock approach instead of a folk kind of sound that we are use to and hooks its listener with its sexual appeal. Now she's back with her newest hit, 'Tonight I Gave Up' from her forthcoming album. The song Follows the timeline story of Carly’s presented in the first single of the album, this song is the exactly moment where Carly meets the Vampire Marcio and finally we can understand why she didn’t refuse his seduction and she has turned into a vampire. Volkova does yet another fantastic job with this track that keeps reminding us how the break up between her and ElectroDeath, wasn't such a bad thing at all. Not to say that she wasn't incredible when she was with them, which she was, but that we're now able to see her in a new light. A light that lets her pure talent and genius capabilities be known all around the world. The statistics won't lie either as I'm sure this will score Volkova at least another top 10 hit and plus the fact that she's managed to be nominated for two Chaos Awards VII nominations including Sexiest Female and Best Rock/Metal Act. If the song doesn't get you going enough, then the video certainly will if its anything like the last video for The Bite. Volkova is one of a few artists that never disappoint no matter what she decides to do, musically that is. Yes, in my opinion we'll be seeing a lot more genius productions from her throughout her career.

Coming back with her second single off her third album, Open Wounds, Mykaylah shows us a different side of her. 'Addiction (Overdose)' opens listeners up with catchy lyrics and guitar driven chorus, big vocals and a kinda sexiness rock side. It talks about being in love with someone and them not giving you it back but instead leading you on, sticking with you, being there, making you think that they are always going to be there but deep down inside you know but by this point your addicted to them until the point of overdose. Mykaylah definitely takes a walk on the wild side with this one but its befitting of her. With her already sassy demeanor or what some might call bitchy, Mykaylah brings life to this new track making it something for R&B lovers alike to listen to. Though dabbling into new sounds can be a good thing to expand your fan base and maybe even grow as an artist, it can also sometimes hurt you in the long run. Whether to say or not if this particular track may have damaged Maykaylah's fan base is nothing further from the truth. In my opinion, Mykaylah has come a long way and is only getting better with time. If anything her career is far from over and if her fans have anything to say about it, she'll be sticking around for a very long time.

Label: Studio60 Records
Writers: Christopher Hudson, Dennis Shaw, Sophia Stellar

Redeeming themselves from their almost fatal career just a year ago, Stat Nerds released their comeback single, Ready For The Weekend, leading some to interpret the title of the song as them gunning at boy band, The Weekend. Whether it be true or not, Stat Nerds aimed to succeed as the single landed #1 on the Digital chart and #2 on Airplay. A while after, Stat Nerds teamed up with the lovely Sophia and released their second single, 'Want Ur Love.' Just like their comeback single, the single went on to chart #1 on the Digital chart and #2 on Airplay. 'Want Ur Love' is a Dance-pop and Electropop song about wanting a girl's love. The track starts off with a quick opening beat with a catchy whistling sounds mixed with synths and other generated instruments and guitar chords that automatically give it the opening beats of the track this fun, enthusiastic attitude. With no vocals, this quick paced beats and relentless background gets us ready to here the first Stat Nerd to break open with his vocals. Whether or not anyone likes it, due to their trouble making ways, or Weekend wants to admit it, these boys are doing quite well for themselves. I can see these guys going very far, not because they are total hotties, but because the world could use more boy bands out there. Some might disagree but when you think about it some of the best artists have been boy bands. The Stat Nerds will be no different if they keep making these great songs we love so much. Though I would like to give a word of caution, stick to the music guys and don't be bad boys. We have enough of those already and besides there's room for both you and Weekend. So play nice boys and keep giving us what we want, boy bands that not only look hot but can also keep our young hearts a fluttering with your wonderful music.

'Piece of Paradise' is a House and Progressive house single written by Vanity about two people that don't quite fit in with the crowd, but end up finding their piece of paradise by escaping from their current lives and living happily with one another. Vanity, who is always known for mixing up her sound, gives us a hands-in-the-air styled anthem that will leave you wanting more by the time the song is finish. This track oozes with a kind of freshness that will make you want to break out with dance fever. If you don't believe me then take a listen for yourself, you certainly won't regret it. It was an incredible choice for Vanity's next official single and certainly up there with all her other glorious hits. Fans alike seem to agree as the single landed in the top 10 on both Airplay and Digital. Needless to say, it definitely has me and all the other Vanity fans excited for her brand new album, which is to be released sometime next month. Vanity has true talent that a lot of us should take note from and for as long as she doesn't have another near death experience, she'll be gracing us with her music for years to come.

Genre: Indie Rock
Recorded: New York, NY, USA
Recording Dates: December 2012
Written by: Mark Talley
Produced by: Scott RH

Label: Chaos Records

Making his way as a solo artists, former Blood of Wecz member, Mark Talley, releases his debut single to the world. 'Silver Linings' is A jumpy-energy filled indie rock anthem about fighting for something you believe in while remembering that no matter what you are faced with, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel, and always a reason to see hope in anything you are up against. With its verses hook-filled and layered with clever imagery and lyricism you can't help but to love this track. The track starts off with a high pitched strumming on a guitar, before some drums come in all of a sudden, and the intro takes on a rather jumpy and energetic tone. Talley does an incredible job with his guitar and vocals throughout the entire track. The thoughtful message behind this song is one that inspires and entices its listeners. Trying to disassociate yourself from being a former member of an awesome band to becoming a soloist is no easy task but breaking out with a smashing song such as this one, puts Talley off to a great start. He may not be Scott R. H but if he keeps putting out music like this, he just might be and perhaps maybe even better. Of course he's nothing compared to the likes of James Urie or Misery Loves Company either but given time this Indie rocker will be the next big thing.

Where are they now? Dominic Brown (RoseJapanFan)
By: Honor Wynter
UserPostedImage
"If anything, he's proof that success doesn't just happen over night, it is earned and gained and he has earned every bit of it."

R&B seems to be one of the dying genres in the industry today. When radio and sales are taken over by the musical styling’s of Pop music, you can’t help but to wonder what happened to all the good Rhythm and Blues artists? Sure, you have Stephanie Fierce, Cassie Valentine, Chanel and you can even put Kato in the category (even if he does take long breaks in between each single and then makes comebacks) but that’s about all you can really account for in that specific area. But that’s nothing compared to the number of Pop acts you have; Isabel, Weekend, Nadia Berry, Electrodeath, Abie Lena, Serenity Scott, list goes on for days, literally, but R&B stops about halfway to the corner, it’s sad. When all hope had seemed to be lost, there was one man who seemed to lift up R&B and light a much needed fire underneath it.

He was your typical sexy singer. He loved to sing to the ladies and he loved to dance. I guess that would scoot him over to the Pop category but nonetheless, we're giving him to R&B. Dominic Brown came at a time where males and music were scarce. It's true, nowadays the industry if dominated by the almighty vagina and few men have really tried to break the walls (pun intended) to get to the top spot but it's hard when you have so many cute chicks singing about love and sex and dancing. Who wouldn't want to buy that record? The point is that many men come and go but we wished this man would have stayed a little bit longer.

By the time Dominic Brown had 'Arrived' he was merely known as a new kid on the block that only seemed to have one familiar face as a friend; Hayden Merjos. After the two joined up for his debut single, a collaboration between the two entitled, Arrived (see what I did there?), the single debuted at #29 on the Top 20 Airplay charts and #25 on the Digital charts, racking up 325,000 copies being sold and even though it wasn't the greatest of debut's, he didn't give up at all. Instead he kept trying and it was clearly more than just about the money or the fame for this teen. Not much was known but he was clearly a star in the making, just needed some shaping and molding. Brown gave another single, Addiction which went up 2 spots from his last single debut on the Digital charts at #23.

People weren't sleeping on the then 18 year old as he gained popularity among his peers and even had an average sized fan base. It was then we all discovered the origin of F.Y.T Originally a group of 6 talented teens, Dominic Brown, Hayden Merjos, Luke Striker, Mandy Williams, Isabel Merjos, and Cassie Valentine, all who were featured on his debut album, funnily enough titled the same thing, F.Y.T and was to showcase the talents of not only him but his friends as well. He stayed true to his roots and even dabbled in the Pop genre, by taking on a collaboration with Pop's princess, Isabel, in their hit single Dance With You which debuted #10, his first top 10 single ever. It was clear he was not some mediocre, one chance guy. He had talent and he didn't waste time showcasing at all. He released a bundle of more singles from his album including, One Night (#2 on Airplay and #3 on Digital), Thank You (#6 on Airplay and #18 on Digital), and Black Heart (#20 on Airplay, peaked #4, #7 on Digital, peaked #1), giving him his highest charting single selling over 2 million digital copies world wide!

If anything, he's proof that success doesn't just happen over night, it is earned and gained and he has earned every bit of it. But with fame comes misfortune and that all seemed to start when he was rumored to be dating Sierra Summers which was blurry to begin with as there were very few pictures seen of them together, possibly due to his being away a lot and her also working with Brown Sugar. After they split, it was back to business for the R&B sensation. What was almost extinct, he helped build up. He even managed to snag an award at the 'Fans Choice Awards' taking away 'Sexiest Male' and being nominated for multiple awards at both FCA's and Chaos Awards. It seemed like there was nowhere to look but up from Brown's point of view.

But the question that has dawned on everyone's mind today; where the hell did he go?! Sure, we saw a few tweets here and there from him and even mentioned by his ex, Tisha Jackson (that nutty R&B chick who is like a carbon copy of Chanel, yaaaaaas! Ahem) and their crazy break up after her time in rehab for her drinking problems, but since then he's went A.W.O.L. He did, however, open the door for many new R&B faces like Kato. He went from selling out shows and concerts and selling an album that went platinum 4x to be virtually invisible to everyone.

It's not known if he will in fact return or not but there have been multiple rumors of him being in the studio, working on new material. He's still signed to his label, Tric-Jam Records and is also working with Kato on his own album. Maybe 2013 will be his year or maybe he'll just stay in the shadows? We hope he returns and hurries. He was one of the few men to actually make an impact in music and show that it's not just a female ran industry, it can be a co op! We will just have to wait and see if the 'King of R&B' (yes that is his title until another male can make him swerve) will return!

Chaos: What's the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning?

Jennifer: Hmm. The first thing I see when I wake up is usually my dog licking my face to wake me up, Simba. He’s very affectionate and he loves to wake me up early in the morning. I always have to put him down on the ground through because sometimes I don’t need to be woken up at 6 in the morning, (Laughs), I don’t even know why he’s up in the first place. It's either that or I see the ceiling because it is at the top and I usually wake up sleeping on my back so I just yawn, stretch, open my eyes and poof, nothing but ceiling!

Chaos: If you could only eat one food again for your whole life, what would it be?

Jennifer: Ooh, that's tough. (Smiles) It's a close tie between Sushi or Hamburger with fries. I can gobble those up in a matter of seconds and I don't mind eating that every day for dinner. Although, it's not healthy or recommended to eat fish every day but then again neither is eating a burger and fries, with extra cheese and mayo. It's funny because me and Izzy both have this obsession with Sushi. Our favorite is the California Roll, oh my god, talk about biting into a little piece of heaven! I'm learning how to make my own currently but I can't seem to get it to be as perfect as when I get it from the store.

Chaos: When was the last time you cried, and why?

Jennifer: I think the last time I cried would have to be when I was in Rehab. I was just dealing with a lot of stuff and it became so overwhelming, crying was all I knew what to do. I didn't know how to talk to someone about it because I didn't think anyone would understand. I was just upset at losing my brother and the paparazzi, my life wasn't going the way I wanted it to so I just bawled like a baby for weeks and weeks. It felt good though to finally get it all out. It was a very healthy cry, in my opinion. I don't think I've ever cried that much afterwards. I cry at movies sometimes. I know I got teary eyed when I was watching 'The Vow'. It's an amazing, emotional, romantic movie. To me it's like Titanic. If you're not moved by those two movies then you have no soul. (Laughs)

Chaos: Would you rather have all your food be too sweet or too salty?

Jennifer: Definitely too sweet. I feel like I could deal with that than salty food. When my food is too salty, I'll get a headache later and I'll feel like I'm dying. When it's too sweet, I kinda cringe a little but I can get through it. Have you ever had popcorn that was entirely too salty? It really ruins the entire bag of popcorn. If I had some chocolate that was too sweet, you better believe I'm still gonna eat them! I don't know, I just have a massive sweet tooth. I'm constantly wanting something sweet to nibble on.

Chaos: You're trapped on a desert island; what 5 items do you want to have with you the most?

Jennifer: Oh god, I'm gonna pick the most terrible things ever, just watch. Umm...well first I would have my iPod for some music. I would have a laptop, a good book, my cell phone, and Sushi. Well would there be electricity? I don't think there would be so I have to redo my list. I would keep the book, maybe my dogs, I would bring a ping paddle with the string and ball attached to it for entertainment, I would bring my notebook to write lyrics because I know I would be so inspired and I would bring a pen to write with so the lead won't break. Yeah, best deserted island vacation ever!

Chaos: Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?

Jennifer: I think it was my siblings, Lucas and Katie. I called them for the holidays and New Year’s Eve so we could talk about all we were gonna do to celebrate. They also called to tell me that they couldn’t wait to get my album, awesome siblings. We usually call each other at random times and you can never expect when they’ll call, its how we’ve always been. We can talk on the phone for hours even though I’m much more of at texting kind of gal.

Chaos: What's your favourite movie of all time?

Jennifer: I’m such a little kid but I never get tired of watching ‘Finding Nemo’. How can anyone not like that movie? It’s hilarious, it’s sad, it’s cute. I have cried before at that movie especially when Dory swims through the jellyfish? Heck yes that was so sad! It’s always on in my house, you ca n literally walk in and see ‘Finding Nemo’ beside the DVD player all ready to be played. I bet you thought I was gonna say ‘Titanic’ or ‘The Notebook’? Nope, you can’t beat a classic like ‘Finding Nemo’.

Chaos: Tell us about your earliest memory?

Jennifer: My earliest memory? I can remember going to the mall and getting lost with my brother and sister. I remember I used to wear glasses as a child and looking really dorky. My siblings always looked cool and beautiful so I wanted to hang out with them but I got lost in the process. I know I was by some kind of pretzel stand and I turned my head for a minute then they were gone. I ran around the mall for hours and then I found them by the Pretzel stand as if nothing had happened. (Laughs) They were so mean by tricking me! I totally got them back though.

Chaos: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Jennifer: You know I could ask you the same thing. I think woodchuck's can chuck wood, right? So I picture them to be like a woodpecker and probably chuck wood every second so maybe about 1,000 pieces of wood? My math is a little off when I don't have paper or pen. Have you ever seen one? I don't think I have but they do exist right? I'm not crazy am I? Seriously, I should google that right now on my phone, can I do that? Wait, isn't a Woodchuck just a groundhog? So they don't eat wood do they? Don't they just bury and dig holes then come out in the sunlight if it's winter or whatever? I feel so confused.

Chaos: Can you tell us a joke?

Jennifer: Yay, joke time! Hmm.... well I don't wanna tell a blonde joke because I might regret it one day. I know one my dad told me. It goes like this, so a man was at the cemetery, visiting his mother's grave and as he's leaving, he looks over and sees another guy at a grave. The guy looked very sad and he kept repeating over and over 'Why did you have to die, why did you have to die?' So the man didn't want to pry but he walked over to him and asked him 'What is making you mourn like this? Was it the loss of a child? A parent?' and the guy looks at him and says 'My wife's first husband.' (Laughs) I always thought that was the worst and funniest joke my dad told.

Chaos: What's the worst nightmare you've ever had in your entire life?

Jennifer: Have you ever saw the movie 'It'? Ugh, that movie scared the living daylights out of me! I used to dream about the clown, I forget his name, Pennywise I think, and he'd come to take me to the sewers so he could murder me and then take my family and murder them too. I would say I'm kind of creeped out by clowns now so I don't particularly like them that much. They don't make me happy at all. I don't think I've ever had another nightmare like that ever again though. I stopped watching the movies and totally removed him from my life!

Chaos: Can we have your bank card number?

Jennifer: You could but I'm pretty sure you couldn't use it because you don't know my pin number or have valid I.D. Plus I would just cancel it so you couldn't use it, I'm smart like that. There's not much on there anyway, I don't usually put globs of money on one card because I feel like someone would steal it and that would be kind of my fault for being that dumb. (Laughs) But to answer your question, sure buddy, tell me how it goes!

Chaos: What would be your dream lineup for a music festival? As a fan.

Jennifer: No doubt I would want to see Adele, Kerli, Christina Aguilera, Miguel, The Wanted, and Madonna. That would be like a super amazing concert to me. You have like the Pop heavyweights mixed in with some R&B and one fine man band. (Laughs) I would love to see them all perform in one concert, for sure. They are some of my favorite artists so that list was super hard. I was about to keep naming more names but then I remembered, I probably wouldn't have time to watch all those people perform.

Chaos: What's the weirdest experience you've ever had with a fan?

Jennifer: It wasn't really weird but sweeter, I got engaged to a fan. Well, he proposed and I took the ring so we're like..engaged I guess. No wedding date has been set though so I'm still good. It happened like a year ago and I still have the ring, it's really gorgeous so I hope he wasn't looking for me to give it back. He was nice and apparently had been to like all my shows before and knew all my songs so I couldn't really say no, it would have broke his heart.

Chaos: Imagine they're making a movie about the life of Jennifer Armstrong; who plays you and why?

Jennifer: Umm..I think that would be kind of hard. I'm not sure who could play me except me. I like to think of myself as being one of a kind and I don’t think there’s anyone that knows me better than me. I would love to play myself in a movie about me. There’s some great actresses out there so if they could pull off acting as me than more power to them. (Laughs) Plus you’d have to find someone with my curves because that’s like one of my best assets, you know?

Chaos: And what would be the theme song for that movie?

Jennifer: I would want it to be ‘Try’ by P!nk. I love that song so much and I think it describes me so much. I could see that being my theme song and then I could enter in all slowly with the wind blowing and I’m walking in slow motion, (Laughs) and there could be some epic scene going on behind me while it’s raining or storming. Yup, that would be the opening scene of my movie, doesn’t that sound so epic?

Chaos: Are you a morning person or a night person?

Jennifer: I think I’m more of a night person but I can play off being a morning person really well. I’ve been training myself to get up early and to work out and stuff but some days I sleep in all day and come out at night. I’m not mean in the morning but I’m very nervous and pushy sometimes because I usually have to be up for a reason and prepare for something so I don’t want to spend my mornings being all late to everything, if you understand me. I prefer night time at lot more though.

Chaos: What was the last thing you ate?

Jennifer: The last thing I ate was my very first pot of Southern style black eyed peas with some steak and smothered mashed potatoes with gravy and string beans. I made all of that on my own too! I’m really learning to be more of a cook and to order out less because I find that to be healthier and cheaper than getting some Chinese every night so my cooking is improving a lot. I love to cook all the time so my house is always filled with different smells. They’re all good though.

Chaos: Are you more of a party girl or do you like to put your PJs on and just chill out?

Jennifer: I like to mix it up and do both. I have a lot more PJ’s and chill nights than party nights. I prefer a good movie or t.v. show and some take out or homemade food with my dogs and some friends. On the other hand I love to go out and go club hopping, like just go to different clubs and enjoy myself. I guess it depends on the day and how I feel. Most nights you’ll find me at home wrapped up in a blanket and on Twitter. I really enjoy being at home, it’s just so warm and cozy there and I feel a lot safer than being on the streets.

Chaos: When was the last time you saw something and just thought; "What?"

Jennifer: When I read most of the tweets sent to me or my friends, all the time. My face has the most confused look you’ll ever see. I just don’t understand some people and if they really mean the stuff they say when they tweet to others. I mean it’s a public site where everyone can see your business, why do that to yourself? I’ve seen a lot of things and said ‘What?’ to myself. Sometimes it’s so crazy you can’t just keep it in your head.

Chaos: Should men show their true selves or hide their emotions and be a bit more macho and cool?

Jennifer: I think they should be themselves and not hide their emotions. I can’t stand when a guy tries to act all cool and macho, just be you! It’s not a bad thing at all. I find that way more attractive than some guy who has to pretend he’s tough and nothing bothers him, girls don’t like that. They wanna feel comfortable around their guy and not feel so intimidated as if they have to scale the walls they build up around them. I am a sucker for guys who can be their true selves around me, I love that. It means they are comfortable with me and trust me enough to let me see that side. I don’t want a sensitive guy with me and then with friends he’s all macho. That’s a HUGE turn off for me.

Chaos: Tell us a little secret about yourself.

Jennifer: Hmm, well I don’t know if it’s a secret that I’m still a virgin and plan to stay that way until my wedding night. It’s something I firmly believe in and stand by 100%. I don’t really have any secrets to tell, I don’t have many of them. My life has been an open public display lately so I can’t keep anything from anyone. (Laughs) One time, at band camp though…..just kidding! There’s no secrets to be shared here!

Chaos: What would you do first if you were to win the jackpot on the lottery?

Jennifer: I would probably, in all honesty, give some of it to charity and then the rest to my parents so they could do whatever they wanted with it. I’m not money hungry so it wouldn’t bother me not having millions of dollars. I like to save a lot, use coupons, catch sales, get discounts, I never brag about how much money I spend on stuff, I just don’t care. Not to say that I’m like really selfish with my money, I spend money a lot mostly on clothes and going out but I won’t tweet ‘Just got a yacht!’ That’s not me at all, (Laughs).

Chaos: What isn't So Raven?

Jennifer: ‘That’ remember? She’s so Raven, like she’s one of a kind and unique so when she does something crazy you’re like ‘Oh, that’s so Raven!’ I loved that show and I wish it stayed on longer or at least show re runs of it. My favorite character was Chelsea of course. I feel like me and her would get along great. She reminds me of a female version of Riley though. She’s all about nature and not hurting animals, yup, she’s the female version of Riley.

Chaos: What would you be doing with your life if you hadn't made it in music?

Jennifer: I would probably be a songwriter for other artists. Anything that involves music I would do it. I’ve always wanted to open my own music shop and sell records and music memorabilia so I could get a jump start on that. I did think that if I hadn’t made it, I would go back to school and get some kind of degree that I could use in life. I’ve always had a backup plan for if I failed so I wasn’t too stressed out and out of options but I tried not to doubt myself and thankfully that’s worked out for me!

Chaos: What one person would you like to just kill if you had a free card to do so?

Jennifer: I have no desire to kill anyone so I wouldn’t need a free card to do it. I would just kill them with kindness and watch them slowly deteriorate before my eyes, that’s the best way to do it. I have too much of a guilty conscience so I could never get away with anything like that and I don’t have that need or want to hurt someone like that. I would have to be a straight psycho in order to murder someone and I could never imagine doing that.

Chaos: If you had to hear one song all the time and you could never turn it off, what would it be?

Jennifer: I get sick of songs after a while so I’m not sure. I really do love that “Mr. Sandman” song the one I sampled in my song on my album? I could listen to that and never turn it off. It’s really haunting and old timey, so cute. I also like the ‘Bah Bum’s’ in the song, makes it sound like bells. I guess eventually I would get tired of it and shut it off.

Chaos: Why did it always seem like the butler did it?

Jennifer: Because the butler had access to all the chemicals and weapons of the house. The butler always did it and that is why I don’t have butlers or maids or servants. They might kill me one day and could get away with it because they know the house better than the person living there, it’s crazy. Plus, everyone mistreats butlers so they have revenge on their mind a lot.

Chaos: What's your idea of a perfect Sunday?

Jennifer: My idea of a perfect Sunday would start with me waking up in the morning with my dogs and then my mom cooking a huge breakfast of all of my favorites. After I ate I would go to the gym, workout for about 2 hours and then I go home, take a shower, relax on the couch with my family and friends. We would be in the living room watching television or playing on the Xbox 360 or Kinect. My mom and dad would make a giant dinner and then we’d all eat and laugh and enjoy our dinner then I’d help with the dishes and have dessert while watching a movie and falling asleep. That is my perfect Sunday.

Chaos: Would you rather forfeit your birthday or Christmas?

Jennifer: My birthday, Christmas is just too precious to me. I don’t really do big things for my birthday that much anymore, I suppose I should start but Christmas, you can’t just not have Christmas, that should be considered a felon. There’s more to Christmas than presents and food and it makes me feel all warm and cozy inside, I would be lost without celebrating it. Some days I don’t even celebrate my own birthday so I’m no stranger to treating it as a normal day.

Chaos: Is religion something beautiful, or does it cause more problems than it's worth?

Jennifer: I believe it can be beautiful but people choose to be extremists with it and make it seem ugly. Most people aren’t religious because of how others portray it. They think of a bunch of people carrying bibles around and condemning people to hell but I have religious friends that are really cool and sweet. I consider myself to be spiritual, not religious. I never downplay anyone’s religion because it matters to them so who am I to criticize it?

Chaos: Do you believe in aliens or ghosts?

Jennifer: I do! I know there are spirits lingering out there all around us but I’m not messing with them at all. I’ve seen enough movies and shows to know that demons and ghosts just want to be left alone, unless they start messing with me and then I’ll run like a little girl. I have seen an UFO before. I swear it was a silver flat looking object in the air and it had lights. I looked down for a second and then it was gone. There are other life forms out there and I for one would love to meet all the friendly ones.

Chaos: Pirates or ninjas?

Jennifer: Ninja’s are awesome and all that but Pirates I think are more adventurous. Ninja’s rely on weapons and stuff, Pirates fight with one weapon and even without can still kick ass plus Captain Jack Sparrow? Do I need to say more? I can’t name a cute ninja because you can never see their faces! I would totally wear Pirate clothes too. I think a bandana and an eye patch would look super cute on me, don’t you agree?

Chaos: And finally, anything planned for the rest of your day?

Jennifer: I plan on relaxing and doing some shopping. I’m in need of some major wardrobe changes and plus shopping is a great stress reliever. I also need to head to the beach and catch a few waves, probably gonna make some sand castles and just enjoy the beautiful day. I don’t like being couped up inside a house too long, especially when it’s sunny outside and the temperature is just right. I feel like everyone should be banned from doing that and they should go out and have fun.
