Ellie takes a sip of her new glass of orange juice and sighs a little.

"Did you ever see the awards show after it happened. Ryan did nothing. He and I were still friends and it was a mistake. But that Stinson guy was hosting it and he was like....really nasty. Every joke he told was about me being a...slut." She shrugs.

Ellie smiles.

"Yeah that was the one. He was just doing it to get laughs out of people. I doubt he really thought that about me. But a lot of people don't think about things they say and how they can hurt other people."

Eillie chuckles a little, feeling slightly better now that she had someone to talk to.

"You sound like you've had some bad experiences in the past," she says, looking up.

Ellie nods.

"You have? Like what....what happened?"

She laughs a little. "Me? Oh no I have a boyfriend....we just keep it a secret a lot so that our names aren't everywhere."

Ellie listens and nods.

"You....he didn't hit you did he...?" She looks over at Serenity.

She smiles.

"It's been a few months. I was with Hayden....but we had to split. I really liked him and he tried hard, but I could tell he loved...someone else. It wasn't his fault, he just did." She smiles. "But then I met Liam on tour and he's been lovely to me."

Ellie breathes a sigh of relief.

"I'm glad you said that. I hate the idea of any girl getting hit by a guy. That sounds awful. But if he's not for you then you're right to dump him." She smiles.

She nods.

"Yeah, and I mean he seems happier now...he seems to have a family, I'm glad." She smiles. "You know the Zone? He's in that band."

Ellie laughs softly.

"No. I know he didn't hit her. Believe me, he loved that girl long before they got together. He'd be pretty stupid to waste his chance by hitting her."

She smiles a little.

"No...no I'm not kidding. Why?"

Ellie shakes her head.

"No....they were out in the street and she was a bit drunk and fell cos of her heels. Seems true to me."

She shrugs.

"I dunno...he's nice to me, so.."

Ellie shrugs a little as well.

"Well I know Hayden and there's no way he would have done that to her."

She thinks and then nods.

"Yeah. I never even knew he was cocky. I just know he was nice to me when we first met."

Benji Nowak was on his first ever trip to New York. He had lived most of his life in a small Canadian town, and although he spent the last five years of his life in Boston, he had never been to a city the size of New York. After settling into his hotel a few hours before, he had decided to see the sites the city had to offer. After wandering for a while, he saw a place that had been famous, a place he saw many of his favourite rock stars tweeting about over the past few years; The Dirty Bastard. He smiled up at the old sign on the wall and rubbed his hands together before walking forward and pushing the door open.

As he walked in, he seemed to feel an aura from the place. This was the bar where Blood of Wecz and Mind and My Freaky Valentine had drunk so many beers as a band. He smiled again and shook his head a little in amazement. Being a Saturday night, the bar was moderately busy, but he saw two stools free at the end and nodded in their direction before wandering over. He takes his jacket off, revealing arms partially covered in colourful tattoos and then perched on the seat before calling over the barman and quietly ordering himself a soft drink, which he then paid for and took a small drink, still taking in his surroundings.
