Hennessy: Karate chop, or kick, but I prefer just to lay them down and stomp them to bits. Records like that just anger me to no end. I wouldn't line a man's coffin with Captain and Tenile records. Russian, French, British, Swedish, Latin, German, and Southern woman all get me harder than Chinese algebra. On a side note look forward to working with you when I finish this record. Johnny's been yammering on about you like you were the second coming of Elvis or at least his illegitimate love child. Anyway, you sound like good people.

Erich: Johnny was being nice. Wait till you meet me and Learn I don't know an A chord from a G. You'll think the good captain and his big toothed cohort's records are too good for my burial. I'd deserve Michael Bolton. You're my kind of cat for sure. Hard drinking with an eye for the ladies. We will set the woods on fire my friend. Not literally, because smokey the bear doesn't like that shit. Each time a forest fire starts, the trilateral commission docks his pay. Misses smokey likes diamonds,so smokey has to work hard to keep her happy

Nobody's Darlings releases single to final album.

Single:

Walking Shoes

Johnny's Notes: I can just call this song blues on methamphetamine. It's loud, fast, and to the point. It's about getting with a girl that you know is no good for you. Then finally just walking out on her. She was just the devil's daughter. Legs, tits, and ass. Great sex. But that's all there was. The emotion there was distant for her. She ends up hurting you and you knew it was coming. That opening riff and Clyde banging like an animal on the drums is just gold.

Hen's Notes: Working with these guys is always just a real earthy organic type process. Some songs just progress with them playing around with riffs and then I stop them because they got something. It's fun and fucking easy as hell really. Because Johnny had lyrics for this tune but nobody had shit to go on as far as a riff or melody. Though my idea was something ballsy that sounded like blues/punk and adrenaline fueled straight rock. As soon as Johnny got the opening riff that was it. I just said work with that, throw in some fills, bang the drums, and make some fucking noise. Play it loud you fuckers.

Lyrics:

I always want what I see and never what I need.
Dancing like a cat on a hot tin roof. Fueled
on cocaine and 100 proof. We just never stop
fuckin'. She's got me all inside out. Yes I'm
inside out.

I want you more than happieness.
But you're the like the plague.
Cut out my heart with my rusty
razor blade. We don't have happieness.
I'll do what I choose.
So hey girl, got get my walking shoes.

I got to get out of this.
But it's like I got this itch.
You just can't scratch it for me.
You and me make a fucked up recipe.

I want you more than happieness.
But you're the like the plague.
Cut out my heart with my rusty
razor blade. We don't have happieness.
I'll do what I choose.
So hey girl, got get my walking shoes.

I got to get out of this.
So I'll do what I choose.
So hey girl, go get my walking shoes.

Go get my walking shoes.
Go get my walking shoes.
Go get my walking shoes.
Go get my walking shoes.

B-Sides:

I Ain't Got The Blues Anymore (Feat. Clyde McDougal)

Johnny's Notes: I've always heard my Uncle Clyde downstairs tooling around in the studio. Then try and get him to record which he'd oppose. Saying, "Aww, man nobody wants to hear my shit." Stuff like that. But I heard him down there yesterday and this time I wasn't taking no for an answer. So I got out the pistol and threatened him to play or die. It was his choice. Just kidding. I had to admit he was way better than I expected. I'm pretty sure he's the second coming of Hank Williams after hearing this.

Hen's Notes: This ol' boy had some talent hiding in him for some reason he wasn't too keen on showing. He can finger pick with the best of them. So when I heard him doing his thing I knew I could put some slide guitar down over his picking and then let it go as is. This is the unsung masterpiece of the album. That's for damn sure. Love that country southern singing voice too.

Contents of Hidden Track

Hennessy: You guys need some kind of metal on this track.

This can be heard through the hum of distortion and fooling with instruments. Hen sounds a bit inebriated. Johnny speaks up through the din and noise through the microphone. He sounds somewhat sloshed as well. But not as bad the the previous speaker.

Johnny: Hen. Do we look like fucking Van Halen to you? Spandex wearing hair metal fag band shit is not going on this album.

You could hear a pin drop in the awkward silence that followed. There's some feedback from God knows where.

Joe: Fuck.... no. Period. Tell me you're joking Hen. Please.

Johnny: *does his best David Lee Roth scream, spins and well you can hear him fall over. Clang, guitar noises, fuzz.* Ow......

Mack: Real graceful fuckwit.

Clyde: Like a beached walrus. *laughter follows*

Hen: I'm not saying hair band shit metal guys you know me. Something metal, with southern rock flavor, and big bluesy balls of steel! You know how to do that shit. Surprise me. I want end this thing proper.

Johnny: Well since you put it that way. Get me a slide. The shiny silver one. I want a harsh fucking beat. Beat those fucking skins like they owe you drug money, court fees, and back alimony Clyde. I mean fucking angry. We'll start out slow and then just blow off some fucking faces like we always do..... right from the top. No rehearsing. Just go.

1....2....3.

End of The Line Tour

It's fitting that we call this one by the name of our last record. I haven't fleshed out the dates yet but it will be soon. We plan doing both east and west coasts this time around as well as some dates down south. They may be even secret jam shows in the works that are still being arranged. Where you, the fan, and whoever else you want to bring along will get to jam with us along with our touring counterparts. These dates are gonna be top secret and may not be released until the tour is actually going on. We want to give back to all the people that have supported us. Just check out the number code on the new album you got. If you bought it that is. The rest of you that illegally downloaded it are shit the hell out of luck. You cheap bastards. We're picking 100-150 people each for each show. So maybe you may be one of those lucky sumbitches that will get to hang out with us. Did I mention I need touring buddies? Supporting acts or whatever you call them. Our favorite drunken uncle and eccentric producer will be tagging along as well. Just because they're good people and I can take who I want with me. So there. Anyway we'll see you on the road. One more final time into breach. So long and thanks for all the fish.

Friends and family of Johnny McDougal tell us there have been rumblings and ramblings of a potential ND reunion tour being thrown around. Former members have declined to comment and producer Hennessy Daniels told us in no uncertain terms: "I don't know shit. You can rightly fuck off until I tell you what I know. Have a great day. "

[Nobody's Darlings Teaser Video

This video was posted on the ND's Youtube account today. Which is apparently teasing a reunion or album though it seems to apply as such. A snowy static video fades into some shot glasses sitting on a bar. There is a bit of humming feedback and distortion that is pretty fucking harsh on the ears. We cut to the outside of that is just a static shot of the outside before we are immediately taken back inside again. There is mostly more feedback and the sound of mic checking. Then there is a mighty power chord struck between the noise which cuts into the bedlam a bit. Though we are then taken back to a sound of some rattling and then humming piercing guitar feed back. There is some white static that comes on to the screen again before the screen turns white altogether.

UserPostedImage

These words are shown and we assume this could be an album title. No sources have reached us for comment. But we are pretty sure this is teasing a potential comeback for the greatest obscure band ever.

Johnny talks about the new album and how he defines genre.

I sort of took a cue from Riot! In The Boulevard in a way. Though my album has nothing to do with the trappings of being young and youthful exuberance. It's more about knowing your getting old, life is starting so suck, you're getting jaded, but you can still have fun. It's about how you feel and make life. That's what this album is about. Getting older, accepting it, and still pushing at life until the walls cave in. Which is where the title comes from, it's that Muhammad Ali quote. Rumble, young man, rumble. Ali wasn't exactly young when he said that. But he was still ready to kick some ass. That's where I sort of drew the inspiration for the name of the album from. We may be getting older but we're still living without regrets.

Everybody asks us about why we went from a noisy punk rock band to doing blues rock, alt country, and Americana type stuff. I have to be honest there was no plan to go that way. We just progressed into that sound. Honestly I don't like the word genre. I like to think music is a constantly evolving thing. No matter what "genre" you choose to define yourself in. Music is its own animal really. We grew as musicians and stared exploring other avenues. There were more sounds to play with and things that sounded more enjoyable. It went with the name change as well. I will of course harken back to my roots on occasion. But we were essentially just a bunch of kids in a garage band and that's what we will always be in essence. Playing what we like while always having that freedom to discover and change. For myself and everyone in this band finds that music evolves but we have sounds that are universal to us. It's what keeps us on our toes and the fans coming back. Expecting the unexpected.

Post Show Interview

You look a little haggard man. You feeling ok?

I'm a good tired man. This has been a long time coming. It's been a year. But it felt more like ten or a hundred. We missed each other. It was damn good to get out and play. The general consensus was too play an impromptu show. Then we'd play some covers like we did back when we were just some scrappy bar band. Bringing that spirit back into it was what we needed. It's bringing back the fun again. When it didn't feel like a chore. Definitely worth it.

It's good to get back to basics. Is it the same for the new record? Back to basics or going into uncharted territory?

I don't think that's the right assumption. But it's close. We're definitely taking the spirit of this show into the studio as we record. Though if you remember what I've said before. I don't think we're really a genre specific band. I think when you're playing music in a band you should be ever evolving. Tastes may change a little. There maybe things you've never done before that you want to do. I don't think pigeonholing yourself as a band helps you. So we like to do a little it of everything. It keeps things interesting for us and the fans.

That's a pretty intelligent statement. You're recording a new record. You're actually going to sign on to a label as well. You've been a DIY independent band for years. What's changing? Who are you contracting with?

Nothing's changed really. A label just popped up that caught our eye. We liked their philosophy and the fact that they weren't genre specific. They're also a non major independent label as well. Amy Meyer's Songs To Live and Die By. They just seemed a perfect fit for what we're looking for in a label. I also must add I'm interesting in collaborating with her. I'd like record with her and maybe stretch her a bit more as an artist. The little girl has some vocal chops. It'd be interesting to say the least.

I see. Anybody else you've been interest in rocking out with?

Right now? I'd say Ryan Ross Hernandez, Cassie Summers, Ellie-Grace, Brandon Caulfield, and my buddy Erich Hess. The list is long. But it's been a while since myself and Erich have shared the stage or a recording room together. He got married to Ada, something or other. I'm horrible with names. But put the rumors of a falling out to a rest friends. Life just happened to us. We'll be back together terrorizing the country in no time.

Well I hope the record goes well man. I've already heard things about and I'm waiting on its release. The show was great as well!

Hey thanks man. We're happy about how it's going as well. But it's a work in progress and a big endeavor for us. Since we've been away from each other for a year. It'll work itself out though of course. Thanks for enjoying the show! We hope to put on more that are just as good. It's great to be back together. That's for damn sure.
