4U BLOG
The girls talk about the group's beginnings as an pop group, the typical and the celebration of their new hit single. This has be a life time experience for us, we can't believe that the dreams we have are slowly coming true. It's all started just a dream for us to create a group that was uniquely formed, not going by what the industry or labels wanted and be yourselves. So many people before this signing with Kiss My Pop rejected us because we wasn't 'America's vision' of what a pop group should stand for. A girly pop group, very pretty, sings pretty, looks pretty, fake ass shit.. but we really wanted to change the face of what female groups are so labeled under as. We wasn't the wannabes pretty girls, we were actually the tomboys.. we wanted to roll with people who was really honest and real because we wanted to have that real guidance no matter how harsh or good the opinions was. We saw so much bad in this group. First, we started not knowing that this bond with us will be so strong that we will make music like we are giving you all, we never knew that the voices we had that started off so weak, developed so strongly because we all worked so hard vocally and musically as an group. We had these personalities where people are like, " you girls don't click, you have the sassy one, the smart but very brave and sweet girl, the akaward, weird but she is very rough. Then you have the white girl that is opposite on what American white girls are.." We were like a room full of colors that didn't match then you had the voices. It was all a mess to many A&R's and producers because we didn't want to form the PERFECT group to the industry and fans, we wanted to form the perfect group to US, the perfect vocals, the perfect sound to US because we wanted to create music no one will never think of or make. We wanted the perfect group to what music needed to change and create something that was a fear to be touched. We didn't give a fuck about being the pretty girls of music, we wanted to be bad, aggressive, rough, not sweet, we wanted to be opposite of what people and music expected from four stunning girls with big voices, we wanted people to be shocked that these girls can damn near be boys, act like boys, perform their asses off and compete in an tough industry by having mindsets away from being pretty or very classy.. no, we wanted that 'norm' to be so distanced from us that when a new girl group comes in; the industry will know that dont hold the 'typical' image or sound of a girl group because we are all different, we are NOT alike. We challenged the lifestyle and personalities to develop this ego of us because we wanted people to know us as entertainers, not just vocalists, not just girls who has big voices, but a group of girls with the power to entertain a crowd with dope shows and killer voices. We don't want two or three albums, we want to go down in history to show that uniqueness in so strong in females as well, just as well in groups as an indivivial. We didn't know that from the first photo shoot we had, we were going to be so connected and so inspired by what from the start was just the idea that we never thought could come true because no one wants to work with girls with their own visions and goals, whether than someone or a label telling us what is best to sell or appeal to audiences, we had that thing that we knew if we invested and nurtured it, it can really happen big time. Of course we had those moments where we wanted to quit and give up but we wanted to fight more because we didn't want to be the weak girls that everyone wants us to be, girls should be 'proper, elegant and sassy, sweet, respectful.." hell no, we had your own persona's where we wanted to go by and be fore-shaking as in this industry. Being yourselves was the key to success because no one saw so much personality in girls in music, we see the typical, we see the norm, but no one thought outside the box to say, " how about we don't know what others want us to do, let's do what for the beginning got us here.." We are bad girls, we are not so proper, we are not so girly, we are NOT so respectful as times, we are just as bad as boys and we love to have fun, we want the realness, we don't want the image or sound that no one wont be able to learn personally from the group. Just like Micheal Jackson and Britney Spears dominated this world being solo, let's have a girl group do it just as big and epic as them, just saying. We think so hugely and to see that the vision is slowly coming true means the world to us because we are one step closer to reaching out to the toughies that are so afraid to come out and say, " yes, bitch, I'm this and that, AND WHAT! I love it and if you don't, you better love me so soon because im a star regardless.." have that sassy ass attuide people may fucking hate, having that walk people may be like, " that bitch thinks she is the shit.." YES I AM and what, have that bitch in you so when bullshit come to you, you ready to attack and win. Be strong, be independent, be YOU! We want to thank you so much for making ' Urban Knockouts' the number two single in the US. You made this happen toughies, you did it. It has been the number one requested record on AM/PM radios, it has sold already over 216,000 downloads, which is mind-blowing because it's just an promo single before we actually release the lead single from ' Domination' It has already considered the 'spring banger' of 2013, which we love because we love to dance. The reaction it's getting from the world, the fans and just people like Honor and critics and artists itself is really seeing that powerful vision we have as women. This is amazing, #2 SINGLE IN THE WORLD! FIRST TOP TEN SINGLE, WITH THREE SINGLES ALREADY RELEASED, TOP RADIO SINGLE WITH JENNIFER ARMSTRONG AND STEPHANIE FIERCE, THE HOTTEST GIRL GROUP!!! We on going strong in this domination era, we have so much in store for you, just wait. Thank you again and hope you enjoyed this blog, we love you, see you all soon. xo. - The Girls |
