The video begins with a shot of a bloody, human-like figure dying. It screams hoarsely and unintelligibly, and it smears its own blood over the walls and on the floor. On the wall behind it, I AM IN HELL HELP ME is written in blood.



The camera moves past it, through the door beside it, down into a dilapidated basement filled with odd instruments. The camera cuts to a heart connected to a machine of some sort.



The drum-machine beat from the beginning of "Palpitation" begins to play, the heart beating in time with the snare. The guitar and bass comes in, and the camera focuses on Trent's silhouette, holding an old fashioned microphone. He tentatively moves towards the mic and begins to sing,



i've got an ailment that can't be fixed
a slip of the tongue and slit of the wrist
it seems so long ago my heart you kissed
but its so soon to see the blood drip, drip, drip

The footage cuts rapidly between a series of confusing images, finally settling on Trent, shirtless, blindfolded, and with his hands bound. He sings the lyrics, looking as if he's in pain.



i'm a fanatic and you're just a creep
pablo honey don't you dare make a peep
i thought your shallowness was super neat
i guess my pool isn't all that deep

The footage cuts to Trent, suspended from the ceiling and spinning in a circular motion, interspersed with images of him wearing a ball gag,




and i feel you
and i want you
and you slip and skip and drip away

The footage shows Trent yelling the lyrics in various places; blindfolded, in front of hanging pieces of meat, in shadows, and with glasses on.

The image of the heart connected to electrodes returns, beating to the rhythm of the song's coda,



i feel like flowers that withered away
i wished i might, i wished i may
i guess i'll just have to run away
and live to run another day

The heart stops beating and the video cuts to black.
