Ada: This is all just too confusing, Erich. I know you would not cheat on me, but Culture Uncut does not just grab stories out of thin air. There has to be a reason for it...

Erich: we were in a room together. Instruments were played, words were sung. There was some drinking and smoking. The most intimate occurrence, was a hug. I admit it it, I hugged nina. |

WEEKEND TURN INTO ANIMATED SUPERHEROES...WITH A TWIST A recovering drug addict, a sexy psychopath, a one-balled glorified back-up singer, a high class male whore and another bully victim of Billy Khan all make up this new gang of time travelling superheroes. The biggest band in the pop world, Weekend, have followed in the footsteps of Teen Titans and will be featuring in their own animated TV series. 'Weekend: Battles In Time' will air in the summer of this year with a special Christmas episode already scripted. However, the new series will not be aimed at children as it is set to contain strong language and adult themes which is sure to rival the likes of American Dad and Family Guy (which Riley Hamilton is also set to appear in.) The five boys will all have a special superhero power each and will also be voiced by the real stars themselves. Dustyn will possess the power to control water, Scott will have the same effect over fire. Meanwhile, lead singer and leader of the eccentric group of superheroes, Oscar Ward, will have the ability to get into people's minds and will also be able to heal others. Khan will have super strength whilst Riley Hamilton will have the power of invisibility. Whilst the show will have sci-fi aspects, 'Battles In Time' will be mainly comedic and several of the supporting characters will parody other celebrities that have been or still are involved in the lives of the real Weekend members. The show will also have a satirical take on some situations that Weekend have found themselves in (one episode is set to feature Dustyn's severe addiction to Pepsi). 'Weekend: Battles In Time' will air on BBC3 in the UK at 10pm for 12 consecutive weeks. A US airing has been confirmed however details on which station it will be shown on and air dates are still unknown. |

ACTS OF HATE LOSES TWO CORE MEMBERSGuitarist Rob Heath and Bassist Jeff Koenig leave band.Canadian Death Metal band Acts of Hate have been through a few lineup changes in their career, one happening during their first major tour (last years Carnival of Sounds) which resulted in the hiring of two new guitarists, Tony Sammartino and Rob Heath. The latter, Rob, is as of today no longer a member of the band due to what he described as "lifestyle difficulties." We were able to talk to the former member of Canada's metal militia, and he had this to say. Quote:"I'm not built for this type of life. Touring, writing, it's all tiring. I've formed relationships on the road and the rest of the band are like brothers to me, but I just can't see myself happily participating in another tour or album. I don't want to drag them down. I just want to spend some time with Karoliena [Verlinden, fellow musician and girlfriend] and focus on other things. I'd really like to produce music, it seems like the next logical step and a way for me to stay doing something I love without all the pressures of being in a touring band." Heath stated that he has no ill will towards any of the band members. Band vocalist and main songwriter Sam Fischer has stated that Heath's split from the band is "amicable" and that he will not only be given writing credits on their next album but may also produce it. Jeff Koenig's split from the band has been described as "more or less a firing." Koenig, who according to band members has been spending the last month "locked inside his house doing ungodly amounts of drugs," reportedly showed up for a writing session under the influence of drugs and alcohol, in a "frenzied state." After being asked to leave and refusing, he was apparently fired on the spot. Sam Fischer had this to say. Quote:"This is a very hard time for Acts of Hate. We've just lost two members that were very close to us, and it won't be the same. Regardless, we have no plans of stopping. Writing for our sophomore album is almost halfway done, and we will finish it no matter what." Will Acts of Hate deliver on their next album? Will they be able to find suitable musicians to fill the holes left by the two band members? We'll keep our ear to the ground for information, and when we get some, you know where to find it - here on Culture Uncut. |

Rob: I would've left regardless of you, Karoliena. The guys are totally fine with my choice, though, and I'm still friends with all of them. Erich, you can be sure that whenever the band plays a show in Ontario, I'll be there to share whatever substances you have with you. |

JULIAN MORELLO TO LAUNCH CHARITY FOUNDATION‘The Studio60 employee announces the official launch of his own charity foundation in order to help create a better cultural and social environment locally, nationally and eventually across the globe. Culture Uncut is the first with the inside information!’The Studio60 Records employee, record producer, songwriter and talent scout ‘Julian Morello’ has today released initial plans to launch his own charity foundation, starting off with an initial launch in his hometown of Berklee, California and ambitiously aims to have a long lasting effect on the future generations in both a social and cultural aspect the globe over. The producer and songwriter has already worked with a number of artists in the music industry that include the likes of Alicia Lena, The Stat Nerds, Riot! In The Boulevard and Luke Striker as well as many more as an employee of Studio60 Records since early 2011. He has also been entrusted and praised with the smooth running of a major music festival in the form of Field Trip Festival and has been slowly building a positive reputation as a positive ambassador for the music industry as a whole throughout the previous year. The twenty-five year old California native has been quietly involved with a large number of charities in recent times and is said to have been inspired through their own individual works to have already long begun planning the evolution of his own charity foundation tentatively titled; ‘Founding for Futures’. It will be based in his hometown of Berklee, California initially but the results will see development in cities all through the United States and eventually worldwide in a similar vein to charity foundations like Unicef. The initial plan is to raise money, something that will planned to do so with the help of the music industry, benefit concerts and charity albums are key ingredients to raising money for the foundation, alongside other opportunities that include sponsoring events and the possibility of hosting a star studded music tour, the foundation could also rely on the support of fellow musicians with Julian expected to use his own links within the industry to give the foundation a well-known presence on the global map and it’s thought that support is already strong from the label that he currently works with ‘Studio60’ with many more expected to show their support to the cause. The cause is simple, this is what Julian had to say in a brief statement, “You hear it wherever you go, people saying that they aren’t proud of the current generation or that they worry about the next generation and that is a basis for ‘Founding for Futures’. It’s an attempt to give the youth of the world the sort of tools to help them with a bright and enthusiastic future in all walks of life. This isn’t a foundation to get young musicians into the industry, It would be great if that could happen through the support of the charity. But it’s a foundation to help young people have a positive future worldwide, this will manifest in financial support to the education of children, to give them an opportunity to find an outlet and discover what it is that they have a passion for as well as educating them fully. I know from my experience that I didn’t realize what I wanted to do with my life until I had already started college, it’s important to help people find their passion at the earliest stage of their life and help support that.
It will also be important to educate children and young adults in a social and emotional aspect, to realize that there is a world outside of their bedrooms just waiting to be discovered and also an importance of love and kindness that is severely lacking in the world. It’s important to realize that we’re all in this together and that should be something that is made clear to future generations, it’s better to love than to hate and I believe that many problems facing the world currently would be less severe if previous generations were encouraged in this view. This isn’t a religious view, it’s a human and social view. It’s important for people to support and love each other regardless of differences, embrace the differences and uniqueness between all of us and make the future all about ambition and love rather than doom and gloom. It’s a basic manifesto but it’s an important one and I think if we can implement this in a large way and actually see the results then I think that in itself would be a huge achievement.”More information regarding the launch of the charity is expected to become clear in due course, with an official launch of the charity being planned in the coming weeks which is reported to include performances and speeches from a number of industry figures that will be lending their name to the cause. So there you have the plans for ‘Founding for Futures’, we here at Culture Uncut are already supporting the cause, the question is, will you? |

Stacey - Wonderful work. Education of future generations is absolutely one of the most important things in the world, and giving people the chance to reach for something they might never have dreamt of is wonderful. A great charity and I would definitely back it. Such a pretty boy too *blush* |
