Miss Jackson is coming, and she is ready to start snatching wigs! Today via her website [tishajackson.com] Pop-Princess Tisha Jackson announced that she will embark on her fourth world tour. ‘The Highway To Redemption Show: Starring Miss Jackson’ is set to kick off this summer on June 21st, in New York City. Tisha will set the stage ablaze in her home town of Brooklyn, at the Barclay’s Center. Tisha will be taking the entire weekend begging June 21st, continuing through Saturday June 22nd, and concluding her Brooklyn shows that Sunday, June 23rd.
This is said to be Jackson’s biggest trek yet, with a total of 79 shows. However she has confirmed, that if everything goes well she will add more shows and continents. It is highly likely that the tour is set to carry on to 2014. Which means, Jackson will be on the road for over a year. The tour is sponsored by Jackson’s label, Studio 60/Tric-Jam. Jackson will be playing the largest venues she’s ever played in her career. ‘The Highway To Redemption Show’ will be stopping at superdome’s and stadiums worldwide (i.e the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, Korea, which seats 70,000 and the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana which seats 70,000 as well.)Currently there are no known open acts of yet. However the R&B diva has been narrowing her search down. To top it off, Jackson has enlisted Abie Lena as the shows opener. She is fresh off her trails of success with the release of her smash album 'Seasons'. However with a new single out and a new album on the way, Abie Lena is set to hit the road with Tisha. Lena will open the North American and European leg of the tour.

“The Highway To Redemption Show will be a movie. I remember being on the road last year, and traveling the world with the ‘Revealed’ tour, and just being so excited to interact with my fans. But I can honestly say this show we are planning currently will be an even bigger spectacle. I’ve been in rehearsals going on a month now. Sometimes I get a little scared because I wonder if I will have enough time to do everything we are planning for this show, because it’s that major. But I know I can do it, this is what I WAS BORN TO DO. And you will see come June 21st when I kick it all off in my hometown of Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. I can’t wait to be with my fans all over the world, and it’s an exciting time. It’s truly going to be an experience and I can’t wait to perform my new material. Are you ready?
When talking about touring with Abie Lena Jackson stated,
"Abie and I have admired eac other's work for sometime now. I was so excited when she called me in to work with her on her new album for a feature. She's a wonderful girl and friend, and I am sure she will be an even greater tour mate. I couldn't think of a greater opener to kick of the show. Her voice I feel is so unique in its technique and unparalled, she will definitley uplift the crowds. I just think she is an outstanding artist, and I am honored to work with her and travel the world with her on this tour. You guys should be in for a show!"
Well Miss Jackson couldn’t have said it any better. She’s back and she is out for blood this time. With new music (i.e ‘The Highway To Redemption) album, and a new tour, Miss Jackson is looking to separate herself from the rest of the competition and show why she is a forced to be reckoned with. Word to the wise, hold on to your wigs.
Tickets go on sale Friday April 5th, 2013. See if Miss Jackson is coming to a city near you.
