Amy wrote her first song aged just 7 and that was when her passion for music started she has faced many challenges in her life she has battled cancer when she was 17 and lost her mum to the dease when Amy was just 9 which left Amy heartbroken for a long time but it has also driven her to purse her dream even more  Amy's career started by her performing at local pubs and clubs this gave her not only a joy for herself but it also brought some finacial support to her family Amy also got many cheers at her performance Amy's career has been put on hold many times the first time due to her cancer she got when she was 17 but it was stopped as well by her losing faith in herself and her abilites she was set to release her music in 2011 but decided not to as her dad had become ill and wanted to look after him untill he got better sadly he never did and he died after 2 months from heart failure this caused Amy to take another musical hiatus and Amy has not perform on stage since her dad's death in 2011 but amy has finally build her confidence back up and is finally ready to release her music to the world her debut album has been on hold for three years due to hiatus but her album it finally going to get its release and is now ready for the world to hear and Amy has stated she cannot wait Amy-Jayne released her debut single 'My time' on April 14th but it failed to chart within the top 20 and sold poorly Amy-Jayne second single 'Loopsholes' was released May 5th again failing to chart within the to 20, Amy released her third single 'Dance Through The Night' in May 2013 but again it failed to make the top 20 her EP 'Disco Sound' was released shortly after but only went on to sell 88 thousand copies, Amy-Jayne then went on a mini hiatus to evaluate her career and finally in September she return with a new single 'Set Me Free' which showed a new sound to Amy-Jayne a more Urban sound her song became her first top 20 peaking at #18 on the downloads chart and #14 on airplay chart, in November came the release of a new single call 'What's On Your Mind' which featured Amy's good friend Parish the song became a massive success peaking at #3 in downloads chart and at #7 in the airplay chart, Amy-Jayne then released her debut album 'Spotlight' in December 2013 it was praised well and performed well on the charts peaking inside the top 10 in several counties and topped the Uk album chart in the US it went on top peak at #3 after entering at # 5, in January came the final single from 'Spotlight' a song called 'Get It From You' the song looked to end Amy's first run of top 10s when it entered at #15 on the downloads chart and #16 on the airplay chart but after three weeks it moved up to it's current peak of #7 on the downloads chart but #16 is still it's peak on the airplay chart in May 2014 Amy released then single 'Glow' which was her seventh overall single and the first buzz single to be taken from her second studio album 'Cosmic Love', the song debuted at #6 in it's opening week, in it's second week it moved to #5 on the downloads chart, due to Amy's performance at the Cosmo Fest 'Glow' once again climbed to a new peak of #2 in the download chart, on July 2nd it was announced that 'Glow' was just a buzz single and is not to be included on Amy's new album instead 'Dancing Shoes' was announced as the first official single from the album, 'Dancing Shoes' is expected to take Amy back to her dance roots but also maintains a strong urban feel, 'Dancing Shoes' sold 190K in it's opening week and topped the downloads chart at #1, 'Dancing Shoes' stayed in the top 20 for more than nine weeks making it Amy's best single to date, Amy's ninth single 'Teardrops' is set for release on November 10th, Teardrops went on to peak at ##7 on the digital chart, after being quiet for the start of the new year Amy finally announced on the 9th of March that a new single titled 'Good Enough For You' will released soon, 'Good Enough For You' peaked at #2 on the digital chart.
