SWEET UNKNOWN TRAILER #1
The trailer opens with Matthew Hendricks shown in his office, his back to the camera as a wide shot is seen from a large window that overlooks the city of Los Angeles on a beautiful, clear skied day, which Hendricks is seemingly admiring himself. With a 180 turn, we get view of his luxurious office with various posters of films framed on the wall seen, before focusing on his assistant, Lindsay Branch, entering his office with a black skirt on, with a gray vest over a short sleeved button up shirt, which is cleverly buttoned down enough to show her cleavage.
Lindsay
Matt, you have a meeting with...
Matthew
[interrupting] I know, the little Disney star. Let's get this over with.
Lindsay
Do you even know her name?
Matthew
Trust me, I won't need to learn it. [chuckles]
Showing Lindsay again with a confused expression drawn upon her face, the camera shifts to show Matthew finally turning around, buttoning the jacket of his straight black suit, quickly exiting his office followed close behind by Lindsay.
Matthew
You've worked with me for five years but haven't once seen how I take care of business in a meeting. I invite you to stay for this one. Show you what it takes to be an agent.
Lindsay
What you do most of the day is talk to people and drink scotch. It's like you live in an episode of Mad Men
Matthew
Yes, but there's a difference between doing that in a lovely office in Hollywood Hills, and drinking wine out of a box in South Los Angeles.
He shoots her a confident smirk as they continue to walk, the scene jumps to where we see a young child, no older than ten years old, sitting in a chair far too big for her, her eyes showing some level of fear to them. The camera spans to show Matthew and Lindsay sitting across from her, Branch taking notes just as Hendricks starts to speak.
Matthew
Mommy and daddy won't be holding your hand when the going gets tough here. You have to make hard decisions, lose most of your friends because they just care about your money, sellout your own mother because she suddenly thinks you have to pay for her house, leave your pet dog behind because it's too needy. You have to be ruthless, if you are sensitive in this business they will eat you alive.
During the length of his rant to the girl, the camera bounces back and forth from Matthew and the child's reaction, by the end of it tears are streaming down her face and violently sobbing. The scene jumps ahead to show Matthew looking quite proud of himself with a wide smile, as he enters an elevator, leaving Lindsay to start just in front of the opened elevator doors.
Matthew
This is Hollywood baby, glitz and glamour! You don't like it?! Go fuck yourself.
Lindsay
You know you're going to hell, right?
Matthew
I'm already there, Linds!
We go straight through a quick view of Hollywood, with the famous sign in view, as it fast-forwards from day to night, with the cars quickly sweeping by and the lights becoming prominent in the evening as the camera zooms in to a particular area for the next scene.
[V.O.]
This is the city of vultures, honey.
A long sigh is heard over a black screen, an unknown male speaking to an unknown female.
Male
Are you ready?
Female
No, but let's do it.
In the following scene, Emma Moore is seen stepping out of a limo, to an obvious movie premiere as cameras quickly start to flash as everyone gets the first sight of her, in a white dress that just makes it past her thighs, but above her knees. The shot quickly jumps to show Emma posing for pictures on the red carpet, with a smile, in front of the many photographers, standing in front of a display of herself for a movie poster titled Midnight of Silence.
[V.O.]
A city that lives for the after parties.
A lively party is shown, thumping dance music playing with a large crowd dancing but the camera focuses on a booth where Emma are sitting in. Matt has a glass of whiskey in one hand while his other arm is draped over Emma's shoulder. Their lips are moving inaudible having a conversation before the sound kicks in midway into it.
Emma
Matt, baby, give me five minutes without bringing up more movies. This is a party for the movie I just starred in.
Matthew
I can't, Emma. Midnight of Silence, that was the big hit, the boom. The movie that's going to do 400 million worldwide. And we need to keep it up, have truck loads of money keep coming your way, baby.
Emma
Why can't I do Dead in the Water?
Matthew
An indie? Honey baby, you can't follow up a smash hit with an indie. Before you win an Oscar, everyone needs to know your name. It's the golden rule in Hollywood.
Emma
Have you even read the script for it?
Matthew
No, I haven't.
Emma
Read the script tonight, or else you're going home alone tonight.
Matthew
[laughs] That's bullshit, baby.
Emma
[whispers] I'll call you when I pull out the toy, that's as close as you're getting to my vagina tonight.
She smirks at him, raising the script from her side onto the table, placing it in front of him. Emma slides out of the booth, as Matt looks at her with a dazed expression.
Emma
Read the script.
As she walks away, his eyes follow her, shaking his head with a long sigh before taking a sip of his drink.
[V.O.]
Welcome to the sweet unknown.
We begin a quick sequence of scene jumps getting glimpses of each character and respective storylines that will be highlighted thus far this season.
Lindsay
Matt, you aren't my boyfriend or my husband. You need to stay out of my personal life.
Hendricks looks at her in disbelief, standing in a more casual look, obviously not in his office. Before we can hear his reaction the scene jumps again.
We see a large group of people gathered in a living room including Emma who's speaking with a few females who are sitting before her. Matthew is also in the room, standing off at a corner, looking disinterested while holding a red cup. The camera quickly shifts to show Olivia walking into the room, obviously not expecting this.
Olivia
Is this an intervention?
Emma
Olivia, just have a seat we'll...
Matthew
[interrupting] No, it's a birthday party for an eleven year old. That's why I'm drinking fruit punch instead of single malt.
Everyone's attention shifts from Olivia, to Matthew as he spoke. He scratches his head, lowering his sunglasses back down to cover his eyes.
Matthew
Yeah, this an intervention. Sorry if you're an alcoholic or drug addict or whatever. At least you're pretty.
He staggers back a few steps as everyone keeps looking at him, before exiting the room.
Another scene jump occurs as we see an obviously nervous Michael Ware rushing down a flight of stairs, cursing under his breath.
Michael
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. Autumn is going to literally kill me.
As he finally reaches the final step, he rushes to open the door, we see a cloudy, rainy day view of New York City, obvious from the Statue of Liberty seen in the distance.
Autumn is shown with her bare back on display, sitting in a bed as an unknown male steps into the frame, buckling his pants while shirtless. She turns her head to look at him, bringing a marijuana joint to her lips as she inhales it before exhaling it out in circles.
Emma is seen wearing a cut-off shirt exposing her bare stomach and denim shorts, with a smirk on her face as she steps into a room, Matthew coming into the frame as he lifts her off her feet, her legs wrapping themselves around his waist as he pins her against the wall. He begins to eagerly kiss along her neck, her head back against the wall as he hands run through his hair, a moan of pleasure exiting her lips as we see his hand slip into her shorts.
With another quick scene jump, Lindsay is shown talking on the phone, obviously trying to be discreet as loud music is heard in the background. It looks like she's located in a quiet hallway of a club or bar.
Lindsay
I have a responsibility here, I have an actual job. I can't just drop everything and leave because she's in the hospital.
Matthew is seen anxiously pacing around his office, looking down at his desk for the phone to ring. After a few seconds it does, quickly pressing a button to talk on speaker phone with whoever the other person is.
Matthew
Give me some good news, motherfucker.
Another scene jumps shows us Autumn in what is obvious a pot growing area, she's propped up on a table with short dress on that shows off her long legs. Mike is seen walking to her with a leather jacket on and a handful of already wrapped up, marijuana.
Autumn
Focus, Mike. You just delivery it, get the money, and leave. I don't care if Kate Upton is at this party and begging you to fuck her tits. You're gonna get paid and get back here. Now go, you're on the clock.
Michael
This isn't my first deal, Autumn, don't worry.
Autumn
That's easier said than done. This is a beach party, lots of ass roaming. You need to focus at what's at hand. I don't mean cupping a handful either.
Olivia is now seen in a bikini and a pair of sneakers, putting a robe over herself as she settled in her trailer, just before a knock is heard on the door before it swings open, not waiting for a response. Matthew steps into her trailer with a grin.
Matthew
Olivia, how's my second favorite client doing today?
Olivia
I just filmed a scene where I had to do coke off another woman's breasts.
Matthew
So I take it you've had a good day. That's my perfect Tuesday afternoon.
Olivia
I've had worse days, yes.
Emma is seen at a photoshoot by the ocean, posing seductively for the camera in only a white tank top and black bikini bottoms.
Matthew and Autumn are shown at a bar, each downing tequila shots.
Autumn
Have you done anything with this Moore girl you didn't do with me?
Matthew
What are you talking about? Like sexually? She does let me fuck her in the ass.
Seemingly later that same night, Autumn and Matthew are shown together again, sleeping soundly in bed,as she rests her head on his bare chest.
The next scene we see Emma storm into living room area of what could be assumed as Matt's home, obviously furious about something as she sees Autumn in the kitchen area making breakfast with a long-sleeved, oversized for her, male shirt on.
Emma
Oh, you fucking slut!
In the final shot of the trailer, we see a scene with the six main characters together in the same area for the first time, but not necessarily there as one group, at an obvious party in an upscale Hollywood Hill home.
Autumn is shown making a drug deal with an unknown male in a suit, discreetly sliding a small bag of marijuana into his jacket as she slides the money he handed her into her small purse.
Michael is seen in the bar area of the party, drinking a beer as he watches on from a distance at Autumn successfully make the exchange, getting a nod from her before he starts walking the opposite direction. The camera follows him before he bumps into Lindsay, both exchanging apologizes before continuing to go their respective ways.
The camera now follows Lindsay, holding her cell phone in her hand before it starts vibrating with an incoming call, hitting ignore as she tosses it into her. She reaches the bar, inaudibly asking for a drink as the bartender takes her order.
Olivia swiftly passes by her, not noticing her as she is obviously more concerned with looking for someone, two drinks in hand, seemingly one for someone else, perhaps for the person she's looking for. Unbeknown to her with her constant moving, one of the drinks spill slightly from the glass. The camera focus on the spill of alcohol on the floor for a short moment before someone steps on it.
The camera pans up to the male figure fully, now we see Matthew dressed casually with a denim jacket thrown on. He is shown with his phone up to his ear, making a call but with no answer on the other line.
The last character we see as the camera jumps to a different area of the party is Emma, who's focusing on something she's reading on her iPhone. Her attention is driven away from it as someone offers her a drink which she accepts, taking a sip of it.
We get a quick fade to black with that, the screen staying as such for four seconds before we see in bold print.
