sorry that i got into this, but if coldplay did copy satriani, then satriani copied before cat stevens or either los enanitos verdes. i don't know the name of the cat steven's song, but it's an 18-minute-long song that, at the end, has the fucking same (horrible) melody that satriani claims that coldplay ripped from him. and want to hear the enanitos verdes' song?

what i found really disgusting is that a mediocre guitarist like satriani has a fucking face to sue coldplay after he copied not one, but TWO. FUCKING. BANDS. i hated him before as a musician, now i hate him as a person.

I hate Satriana because he's childish and thinks he's absolutely amazing.

The others, I don't care for bar Cat Stevens, who I show slight respect for.

I'm a big Satriani fan. He is one of the best guitarists in the world. Yes SAV, he IS a good musician. I still feel Coldplay sucks big time. I hate them now even more, thats for sure. They are the losers not Satriani. Satriani FOREVER!

have you even read my post? it seems you didn't. first, i hate coldplay. second, is even more notorious how satriani did copy cat stevens/enanitos verdes, than how coldplay copied either satriani or the other two.

I agree with you Lepelbos, Satriani is amazing and Coldplay ripped him off. I didn't like Coldplay much before, but I like them even less now.

Not really a Satriani fan I was just thinking that if I wrote a song that someone else kinda stole my song and put it in theirs that I would do the same thing. But I didn't know of the Cat Stevens thing until now.

I don't like Coldplay much. All of their songs are simple to play and are all repetitive. I honestly don't care if Satriani was right or not.

Yeah don't worrie i read your post, lol. But i just cant stand it that Coldplay just didnt want any contact with Joe. Becouse of that he sued them. And yes maybe Joe stole it from CS and the other band too. But they never sued Joe. For me this issue is not about stealing songs anymore, but about how Coldplay did everything to be the new U2 or so. They did everything to get fame, sold millions of albums with Viva. And they just didnt want any contact with him. They told everyone they wrote this song, and they will keep telling it. Therefore i hate them now.
On Last.fm i made with Viva a TAG called Satriani Cover, but there are only 8 followers. haha.

oh, i'm with you there. they also said that they were a progressive rock band because "they had a piano". i could never stand them, though.
