Since G2L took a break, each one of the girls has done her own thing and now it's Lyrica who's trying to make a name for herself. In fact, after helping to create Weekend, one of the biggest pop groups around, Lyrica has written a few songs for other artists and now she's ready to release her solo record.
So we met her to have a chat about her music, her plans and her life.

Hello Lyrica! You have just released your first solo single, how does it feel?
"It's great. It feels like I've grown up and gone from a member who only had to share lines in a girl group to a proper solo artist. It can get scary because when you're in a band, you have your bandmates who feel exactly like you do, but when you are alone it's different - it's only about you."

'Love Thriller' is quite an empowering Pop song, does the rest of the album sound like that too?
"There are a lot of empowering songs on the album but it's not all like that. There are some that are very emotional and some could even get you to tears."

Are there any special collaborations?
"Yeah, I've worked with some great people but everything will be announced soon."

What made you decide to go solo?
"It's something I've always thought about but never really got the change to give it a try until last year, when I had written a lot of songs for other artists in New York and decided to do my own thing too."

Will G2L ever be back one day?
"Of course. Not at the moment, but we'll be surely back together at some point."

Is there really a feud between some of you girls?
"Well, the thing is that we don't get to meet a lot. Some of us haven't met each other in a long time but at the end of the day, we'll still love each other. Just like sisters."

Going back to your music, when do you think your album will be released?
"I think maybe at the end of this year, around Christmas."

Are you planning to release more singles before the album release?
"Yes, one at least. It's going to be a beautiful ballad about love."

Speaking of which, how is it going in your love life?
Pretty good. I'm meeting some people but to be honest I'm focusing on my work. Love can wait and if it comes, I'll be happy to take it.

Was dating Den a bad experience for you?
No, not at all. Whatever happened, it was good and I liked it. I have moved on though.

Does it hurt you to see him with a guy?
No. It was a bit strange at the beginning - I admit it, but since he told all about he was feeling and since we broke up, I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. I'm happy he has finally understood what to do and what he wants.

What are your plans for the next months?
I'm going to release the album and I'm also looking forward to touring. I would love to meet fans after a long time.
