ELMNT (pronounced as 'Element') are more than just an average, run of the mill boy band, they are a group of highly talented guys who all hail from Melbourne, Australia who have a lot to offer. ELMNT were officially established in 2012, the same year they finally showed off their impressive skills to the world on the first series of the hit reality show, 'Star Factory'. The boys managed to make it through the auditions, the numerous stages of the competition that followed and even made it onto the live shows were they were mentored by music superstar, Michelle Green.

'ELMNT' are actually a re-incarnated version of a previous low-key boy band, heartATTACK, who had minor success in Australia in 2009. The original group was composed of Ciaran Chambers, Justin Gray, AJ Williams and two other members; Simon Ellis and Joey Donaghy. 'heartATTACK' only released their material in Australia and New Zealand. They released their first single; 'Turn It Up' in early 2009 which peaked at #15, followed by 'Get It' which hit #48 in the charts. However, when the third single 'Shades' stalled at #192 and their self-titled debut album missed the top 100, reaching #117, the boys were dropped from their label and eventually dispersed. In mid 2010, they briefly reformed but with no label willing to sign them, the group parted ways once more.

After the 'boy band' trend was revived in early 2012 by the highly successful 'Weekend', Ciaran Chambers rallied the troops once more in hopes of achieving the same sort of success and to show their talent to the world. However, only Ciaran, AJ and Justin agreed to return. Instead of continuing with the name 'heartATTACK', the remaining three boys finished that chapter of their lives and re-launched themselves as 'ELMNT'. With the addition of two new members; James Charlesworth-Gringer and Michael Campbell alongside a heavier dance inspired sound, ELMNT are now ready to take the world by storm and it looks like they may finally achieve the success they deserve.

ELMNT are now signed with 'Kiss My Pop' alongside many other well known artists such as The Zone, Victoria Black, Andrea, Mykaylah and Gemma Kane. The five boys have been working on their debut record with some of the finest producers for over a year now and are planning to drop their debut single in July. Watch this space!

Ciaran Thomas Anthony Chambers was born on September 6, 1988 and is the second eldest of the group. Since Ciaran was a child he adored singing and would jump at any opportunity to perform. He joined the church choir when he was a child and it was there he met Michael Campbell (who he would later add to 'ELMNT'). It was Ciaran who formed his first band, 'heartATTACK', as well as being the one that proposed forming a brand new group under the moniker, 'ELMNT', which is why many see him as the 'leader' and the spokesperson for the band. He clearly has a lot of passion and drive when it comes to music as he has never gave up despite many failures along the way. Ciaran is also heavily involved in the writing process of the group's material and has even attempted to produce some material too. He is openly bisexual.

Michael Ryan Campbell was born on 20th July, 1990 and is the second youngest of the group. He was a member of his local church choir from the ages of 8-13. It was here he met Ciaran Chambers and formed a close friendship with him. Michael eventually left the choir as he admitted that he found no joy in singing any more since his voice broke and found it extremely straining. He has always had a strong interest in music though and had learned to play drums and guitar which makes him the only member of the group that is able to play any instruments. In 2012, Michael was called in to form ELMNT by Ciaran but he was hesitant at first as he gave up singing professionally along time beforehand. Although he eventually agreed and still sings with the band, Michael prefers the production and creative side of things.

James Charlesworth-Gringer was born on 4th August 1988 which makes him the eldest member of ELMNT. James has always aspired to be a singer from a very early age and even though his parents and teachers warned him that it's a hard profession to get into and a more realistic job would be a better aspiration, James was determined that he was going to be a singer and nobody would stop him. He didn't do well at school, didn't apply for college or any jobs. Instead, he uploaded cover songs and even some original material onto YouTube. When Ciaran was in the process of re-launching his group as 'ELMNT', he viewed some of James' videos and was extremely impressed. Ciaran contacted him and drafted him in to complete the line up. After ELMNT left Star Factory, James gained attention for featuring in a pornographic film.

Amir-Javaad 'AJ' Williams was born on 16th November 1988, making him the third eldest of the band. He and Ciaran were best friends throughout school and were in the same year group. They both shared a love for music and sports, meaning the boys got on like a house on fire. After leaving school, AJ earned an apprenticeship at Island Records which meant he had to leave home at a young age. In 2009, he was approached by Ciaran and asked to join 'heartATTACK'. He enjoyed minor success with the group and agreed to stay and take part in the 'ELMNT' project. AJ attracted a media backlash during his time in Star Factory for entering a verbal sparring and physical fight with Weekend member, Billy Khan. AJ is known as being the 'hot headed' member of the band and is notorious for saying what's on his mind.
