OOC: I'm taking a minimalist approach with RP for this band which I created mostly to enhance the realism of our "scene" in RP which I think can be done purely with the creation of more artists with different personas. But with that said, I'm basically going to do short Press things, random releases here and there and tours.

About: Protozoa and the Emancipators are an American metal band from Denver Colorado. The band was formed in early 2013 when KC James (formerly of Reported Failure and Punching Monkeys) moved to Denver and started renting an apartment with his old friend Irving Harper (Also formerly from Punching Monkeys). The two intended to start a new band after KC James had left (some say been kicked out) of Reported Failure. Guitarist and vocalist KC James along with drummer Irving Harper met Jesse Cooper when he was filling in a bassist for a local Denver band. Cooper was a good fit with James and Harper. The next week the three of them jammed together and soon Cooper was asked to join the band. In May of 2013 the band signed a deal with indie record label Jumping Off Point Records. Later that month they went to Mammoth Cave Recording Studio in Denver to record their debut EP. The band was announced in June 2013 as supporting Acts of Hate on the Hard and Heavy Summer Tour as part of Carnival of Sounds 2013.
