"Okay! Cool!" he says back, smiling. "What do you want to do between now and when the show starts? We could go get food or...uh, other stuff," he says, trying to think of something interesting to do.

"Maybe other stuff," he says, blushing a bit. "But yeah, that's cool. What do you want to eat?" he asks.

"Oh, you're a vegetarian?" he asks. "Uhm...I'm sure we could find a place," he says, trying not to let his love of meat show.

OOC: oh wow sorry for disappearing :S my internet has been really shitty these past 3 days. for all intents and purposes we'll just say that the previous conversation happened in maine instead of new york.

Carmen and Neil walk about for a while, looking for a suitable restaurant. They finally come to one, filled with dreadlocked hippy-looking types. "Uh, how about here..." Neil says, looking up at the sign, "it's called Karmavore....sounds pretty vegetarian to me..." he says, his stomach rumbling.

"Fine with me!" Neil says, following her to Wendy's. As they stand in line he shifts back and forth a bit nervously. "Aren't you uncomfortable being around all this...uh...meat?" he says, trying not to laugh at how dirty the question sounds.

"Oh! um...okay..." Neil says back, a little uncomfortably. They walk up to the counter and Neil looks up at the menu, perusing all the choices, most of which contain dead animal flesh. "Uh...I can't decide...what are you getting?" he asks.

"Oh, no, it's okay," he says, "I just...never heard it put that way before." He shrugs and turns to the cashier. "I'll have..." he looks over the menu once more, "...ah, what the heck, give me the salad too," he says, turning back to her. "I probably eat too much meat anyways," he says, smiling.

"Don't worry about it," he says back, shaking his head. "And I'm sorry if I seemed...odd when you talked about the whole murder/meat thing. I've just never really been around vegetarians before." They get their food and sit down. Neil takes a bite of the salad. "Wow. I've never ordered salad from a fast food place before. I'm impressed." He chews, swallows, then wipes his mouth with a napkin, trying not to eat like a pig in front of her.

He notices her messy eating and relaxes, beginning to eat less carefully. He shrugs. "Iunno.." he says, through a full mouth. "I never really met one before. I didn't think they were real until Sam explained it to me. I never thought there were people who wouldn't like meat," he says, tilting the bowl of salad so he can more effectively shovel the food into his mouth.

"You love meat...?" he asks, trying not to laugh at the dirty implications. "I guess I understand...I do feel bad for animals but...I'm really used to eating them.."
