DEBUT ALBUM TWO DAYS AWAY, NEW TOUR DATES, & MORE!Hey everyone! So we haven't updated the website in awhile but if you've been following us, we launched a website for our debut album titled "Dark Dreams" that comes out on Saturday! One the albums website we've been doing a track-by-track analysis and have been posting the songs! If you have not been following the album website lets catch you up on what this album is like! "Dark Dreams" is an experimental album that we have been working on for over four months and have been writing for the past two years. The style of this album changes with just about every song. One second you're listening to a heavy rock and roll track, the next you're listening to an acoustic or pop song. We wanted to branch out and try different things with this album. We wanted to make something that is so different then what people hear on the radio, and hear from other artists that it just blows their minds. So far the feedback we've received about it has been very positive and we are so thankful to everyone that is enjoying it so far and can't wait for you all to finally be able to purchase it this Saturday! We would also like to take this quick second to thank our record label "Songs To Love and Die By" who have been nothing but amazing to us so far! It's not everyday a record label allows a band to make an experimental album and let the band find their style!
We also have some awesome tour dates lined up really soon that you can check out below! We only have a few days left on the "All Our Friends Are Busy Tour" with Miss Way, The Harlots & Escape Artists Never Die." This tour has been absolutely amazing! It's been awesome to visit places that we've actually never played for before and get our new music to more new faces! All the bands have been great and we've made some awesome new friends and hopefully met some bands that we will tour again with in the future! Our final show with this tour is September 7th. Once we're finished on this tour, we'll be heading back to America and jumping the "No Venues Tour" and staying on from September 20th, to the final show on November 30th! The stage we'll be on, and our set time will be announced soon! We're both super excited to be on this tour especially because our new album will be out and fans will know our songs and be able to sing along at shows! We already have our set list picked out for this one and it's a good one and different then our recent set lists! After this tour, our plans are to take a little bit of time off, and then play some more shows at the end of 2013! We've been touring non stop for the last two and half months and even though we're having a blast we need a break! Haha
That's about all that we have to update you guys on right now! Check out our debut album's info below along with our upcoming tour dates! Be sure that you pick up our album this Saturday September 7th!
Thanks for the support! Matt & NicoleDARK DREAMSTrack-By-Trackhttp://www.therockstarga...RACKS-UP.aspx#post328588ALBUM MEANINGMatt: Our new album "Dark Dreams" is crazy. To me it is about life, death, happiness, sadness and every other human emotion that we have in our body. I think that it's an insanely strong start for us as a new band as well because we bring something that people haven't heard before and kind of an eclectic sound to the industry. As many people heard with our song "one.", we are wanting to do something different. I have a lot more vocal time on this album compared to previous stuff that we did when we had "Suburban Sunrise" going so it's pretty different for me personally, but I love it. It's such a new turn for both Nicole and I musically then other stuff we've done, and it's so different then what is being put out right now by other artists. One minute it's a hard hitting rock and roll album, the next minute it's a pop album, and then out of nowhere it's a pop punk album. So we really embraced our roots, and our new influences with this album and made one fucking epic album.Nicole: "Dark Dreams" isn't an album. It's a story about the craziness of life. Obviously life for Matt and I has been anything but normal the last year and half since we left the music industry and this album really gets in depth with what we've gone through. It's also about connecting as a species, and finally uniting. It's crazy how much we've changed since we first started making music. A lot of our earlier music was very dark, and sad, and now it's a bit happier. We have different tastes in music now as well. Although I absolutely still love Pop-Punk, I've dipped into more poppy radio friendly music which is weird but also awesome so you can hear that in our new music too. With this new album we finally made an album for us. We didn't make this album to destroy every band in the industry, we made it because we love music and wanted to see if we could change what seems to be such a bland and boring industry. The main thing I find really interesting about this album too is that we've record almost all of it on the road. We recording six songs before we actually announced the new band, and then we recorded four more while touring, so fans and anyone that listens to this album will get a real authentic feel and know that we recorded this album in the moment, none of it is pre fabricated bullshit that producers wanted. This entire record is what we wanted it to be, and it's so awesome to be on such a bad ass label to where they would let us do something like that. I also think that once people get a taste of the other music they're going to be blown away by what we've done. The only other thing i can say about it is, I can't wait until September 7th!ALBUM TRACK LISTING1 Let Me Fall2 one.3 Miscommunication4 Wake Me Up From My Nightmare5 Dark Dreams6 Last House On The Right7 Decisions8 Follow Me Home9 Failure In Numbers10 VultureTOURAll Our Friends Are Busy TourW/ Miss Way, The Harlots, Ada Hess, and Escape Artists Never Die4th September - Forum North, Whangarei, NZ 6th September - Shadows, Auckland, NZ 7th September - Shadows, Auckland, NZNo Venues Tour 2013 STAGE AND SET TIME TBA!Leg 3 - North/Central America September 20 - San Jose, Costa Rica @ Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica September 21 - Managua, Nicaragua @ Dennis Martinez National Stadium September 22 - Guatemala City, Guatemala @ Estadio Mateo Flores September 24 - Mexico City, Mexico @ Estadio Aztecia September 25 - Mexico City, Mexico @ Estadio Aztecia September 26 - Guadalajara, Mexico @ Estadio Omnilife September 27 - San Diego, California @ Qualcomm Stadium September 28 - Los Angeles, California @ Griffith Park september 29 - Las Vegas, Nevada @ Desert Breeze Park October 1 - San Francisco, California @ Golden Gate Park October 3 - Tacoma, Washington @ Point Defiance Park October 4 - Vancouver, British Columbia @ BC Place October 5 - Calgary, Alberta @ Scotiabank Saddledome October 6 - Denver, Colorado @ Sloans Lake Park October 8 - Phoenix, Arizona @ Chase Field October 9 - Austin, Texas @ Auditorium Shores October 11 - Chicago, Illinois @ United Center October 12 - Cleveland, Ohio @ FirstEnergy Stadium October 13 - Miami, Florida @ Bayfront Park October 14 - Miami, Florida @ Bayfront Park October 16 - Richmond, Virginia @ Huguenot Park October 17 - Philadelphia, PA @ Lincoln Financial Field October 18 - New York, New York @ Central Park October 19 - New York, New York @ Central Park October 20 - Toronto, Ontario @ Rogers Centre October 22 - Boston, Massachusetts @ Fenway Park
