Michelle & Riley Welcome Baby Orson Into the World

On Twitter, 'Weekenders' and 'Team Green' went into meltdown last night as news spread about the birth of the cutest couple alive's son, Orson Hamilton. The news caused the social networking site to shut down for almost an hour as hundreds and thousands of tweets poured in by the second - most of which congratulating the lovely young couple on their new addition to the family whilst other tweets weren't so positive (mainly sent in by the deranged section of the fan bases or fans of rival music acts). Nonetheless September 8th was a momentous and unforgettable day for Weekend. In the space of 24 hours, one member became a father, the group's record label 'Five Pesky Kids' enjoyed another No.1 record in the form of 'Freedom' by Serenity Scott and on a slightly darker note; Dustyn and Blake Williams officially split up, Scott Wellington was bashed and sent death threats by Blood Of Wecz/death metal fans and was booed by 60,000 people when he played in a charity match for Celtic FC in Glasgow. On this rare occasion, we here at Culture Uncut have decided to focus on the most positive piece of news and by far the most worthy of the stories to be printed.

Riley Hamilton took to Twitter yesterday to announce the news, stating that Michelle was in labour. The 19 year old pop star flew out to Australia in the early hours of the morning thinking it was just going to be another ordinary visit - Michelle has been on tour with Ellie-Grace Summers for the past few months and her beloved fiance has been flying out to visit when he could - however, after arriving at the airport Riley was stunned to hear the news that Michelle had been taking into hospital as she went into labour one month prematurely. Fellow band member Dustyn Blue's son, Shay, was born prematurely and suffers from a lot of illnesses, not to mention the fact that he was also born with only 10% hearing. A lot of friends and fans were worried when they heard that Michelle and Riley's son was also going to be another premature birth. After 12 long hours in labour, Orson Tobias Hamilton was born fit and healthy as can be, putting all worries to rest.

We couldn't be happier for the couple as they welcome their first child into the wonderful showbiz world. Michelle and Riley, or 'Miley' as they are sometimes known as by fans, are without a doubt the only Weekend couple to really capture the hearts of everyone and nobody can wish any bad will towards them. Whilst Oscar and Eilidh made sex tapes, Dustyn and Blake spread their private lives over the internet, Billy and Andrea knocked seven shades of shit out of each other and Scott.....well, who even cares about Scott?....anyway, the point is that these two have stood by each other all this time without any drama or scandal and genuinely love one another which is a rarity in celeb 'couples' nowadays.

Michelle and Riley met back in March 2012, making them the first official 'Weekend couple' and the longest lasting to date. Back then, Riley's hair was curlier than Oscar's, his overly shy personality meant he barely ever spoke and pretending to be a male escort on TV would never have crossed his mind. As for Michelle, she was still the world's fragile little sweetheart, her hair was long and flowing and sexy little outfits would have probably made her blush and cringe. Fast forward a year and half, lots of things have changed for 'Miley' but one thing that remains is their affection for one another. We wish them and little Orson all the best and we're looking for an invite to the wedding on December 6th.

Mark Talley teases 'new solo work' with lyric leak


Mark Talley proved he can exist without Blood of Wecz when he hit the number 1 spot with his debut solo single earlier this year.

Blood of Wecz guitarist Mark Talley has hinted that he may return to the solo career that brought him widespread success in the past year following the release of his band's album, In Renatum. The metal legends are currently streaming their 15th studio album via their official website, but Talley has hinted that he may revisit his solo work after its conclusion.

The guitarist gained massive praise for his debut single, Silver Linings, early in 2013. The indie rock track, a nod to yesteryear, would hit number one on the charts before Talley embarked on a successful UK tour with PURE and the Harlots in support of the single.

He has since been working on the return of Blood of Wecz, his long time metal band with best friend Scott Rose-Hilton, but he has suggested that a solo turn may be on the cards again, even if temporarily, after the album is released.

The guitarist released previously unseen lyrics teasers via his official website on Tuesday morning, stating that he had been working on writing more material for quite some time. It is believed that any work could culminate in the first of a series of solo EPs, but the 24-year old would neither confirm nor deny the rumours at the current time.

"Working solo is very different to working with the band. It allows me the chance to write lyrics that have a different element to them - my stuff is more about day to day things. I write about love, life and everything between. I don't go for massive topics or big sort of philosophical meanings and discoveries that Scott does. Whereas he might write something about the impact something has on the world, I might write about a coffee or a morning cigarette. That's where we're different.

"I wouldn't expressly say that I like doing solo work more than I like doing Blood of Wecz. They are two completely different parts of my life, and I love both. This just gives me the chance at more creative freedom and to build something that is purely from within myself. Working on my own music at the start of the year was the most liberating thing I've ever done, and I can't wait to do it again."

We might have to wait a while before we get to hear any full Talley tracks, but the singer/songwriter revealed a snippet of an as-of-yet-unnamed demo on his website to entice his fans and tease for the months ahead. He said he is "constantly writing new music" and simply wanted to share some of what he dreams up with the people who give him the chance to do what he loves every single day in life.
