Alec stumbled into the kitchen and poured himself another glass of wine as Jynx jumped and hopped around his feet, wanting attention. He had invited Honor over to take the cat with her today, thinking that he was going to be gone while she was here, but his plans had been cancelled and he figured that there was no point in leaving now. Especially after he drake a bottle of wine himself and was working on a second one. He wasn't taking this break well, and wasn't taking the news that Kai and Honor had been seeing leaving a club together any better. He was willing to let it go at first, but the more he thought about it, the angrier he got, and thus the more he drank. He propped himself up on the counter and waited for her to come inside.

Alec lets out a loud sigh when he hears the doorbell ring, immediately knowing who is has to be. He wasn't expecting anybody else anyway. He comes to the door and looks her up and down, that anger drunk look in his eye. He smirks a little and then moves out of the way to let her in. "The cats in the kitchen," he says simply, his accent coming out more now that he was sufficiently drunk.

"Because I'm a grown man that can make his own decisions in life - hopefully without being questioned," Alec says back smuggly when asked why he's drinking. He walks into the kitchen and places all the cat toys, food, the blue cat carrier, scratching post, and everything else that he had bought while Honor was in London and it was just him watching the cat on the counter. Part of him had put it all together to show how much the cat - which seemed to be the only thing linking him to Honor at this point - meant to him, but also just to show Honor how much money he had spent on this cat. He wasn't sober enough to even question to ethics of playing that sort of sympathy card. "That's all of Jynx's shit. Over $200 worth of stuff, but that's counting the two other scratching posts that she ripped up. She has really sharp nails. Oh..." He grabs the Band-Aids out of the cabinent and puts them also in the pile. "You'll need those now more than I will." He sighs and shrugs, looking at Honor. "So what now?"
