Just a brief one. We've just finished our run in the USA fr the last time, and I just wanted to take this chance to extend my thanks, we both would, for the fucking lovely send off you gave us. I could have sat with a typewriter in a darkened room by candlelight and never dreamed up such a majestic way to go out as a band in my home nation. It was better than I ever imagined, and sadder than I could have ever feared. Tears? Plenty. Pride? You better believe it. Thanks a million times to every city we played. We had a blast. For 15 years. Hope you had too. Peace out. Next stop, way out east. I look forward to Japan. People there are (no offence Japan) weird as hell. See, I like weird. I don't like conformist attitudes and people who bow to trends, and Japan is one of the only nations that look to the west, and still says "fuck you, we do things our own way." Clothes, cartoons, TV shows, music. Whatever it is, they do it the way they want to. Can't wait to get there. Anyway, yeah, I suppose I should wrap up a short, tired late-night update. I'm missing a lot of things and a few people from back home. Company is only company when everyone's happy. I'm spending my time on a bus with a mopey bastard who misses his family, and I miss people from home just as much. Never fear though, we have tobacco and apples to keep us company. All you need is cigs and apples. Shit, I realise this makes it seem like we're not having a good time. We are. I was joking. Honestly, it's a fucking blast being on tour. Anyway, I should get off for a bit. Got to get some shut eye before Tokyo. Everything there keeps my eyes so busy I might not sleep for days. See you all soon, Mark(us)
