Erica hugs Ada tightly and goes into the kitchen to make homemade ramen for them. She had gotten really good at it. She was far enough away for privacy,but still able to make sure Ada was safe.


Erich answers on the first ring. " um...hey." He says awkwardly. He sounds clear headed.

Ada gives Erica a small smile when she walks away from her to give them privacy. Erica was the perfect bus hostess. She jumps a little bit when Erich answers immediately, not expecting for him to. "Hello, Herr Hess..." She says back softly, immediately wanting to be with him - to love him, to kiss him, all of that. But she knew that they needed to speak first. Before she heard his voice, she was upset with him. Just his voice shouldn't change that.

Ada sighs a little. "I just feel very disrespected by you, Erich..." She says simply, trying to keep herself from immediately bursting out into tears. "You saw how those women treated me... and you never said anything to defend me. Not once. That was so heartbreaking. I could not even believe what I was seeing. Not only did you not defend me against these women who were verbally attacking me, but you continued to be around them and be friends with them. These people openly hate your wife and talk badly about her on a daily basis, and you choose to keep them as friends! Erich, I would never do that! If somebody were speaking about you or to you like that, I would never keep them in my life!" She takes in a small gasp of air, a sob building up in his throat. "Why? I just do not understand why you continued to hang out with them even after all the horrible things they said about me. Do you not love me? Do you like them more than you like me? Are you trying to hurt me?"

Ada takes a deep breath in. "So this is my fault then? I am over reacting? I am not there, so you spend time with women who hate me, and I am just supposed to accept that? Is that what you are saying? You have no idea what you are saying, Erich, and you obviously do not know how badly Nina hurt me that day on the boat if you are trying to tell me that I have no right to still be angry at her. This is not because she called me a cunt, Erich, but in my mind, that should be enough. I suppose you level of respect for me is so low that somebody needs to actually be threatening me with a knife before you consider them an enemy, though, huh?" Her voice is very even, never yelling. She had thought about this for the several days she was in the hospital, and she was prepared for whatever Erich said to her. She was also just as prepared to end the relationship right now. "It is because she is gorgeous, is it not? I understand that. I understand that she is beautiful and wants to be around you, so you have a difficult time sending her away for my sake. Your cunt of a wife barely shines through when a little Puerto Rican - or whatever third world country she is fucking from - beauty is around. But if you want to every see your child, at least pretend like it is not her alliance you are choosing over your wife's."

Ada shakes her head. "I do not understand what I have done to hurt you, Erich, and I apologize if I have. You know it is the last thing I want to do, and sometimes I speak wildly and without thinking. But this is something that I have thought very hard about and I do believe that when you chose to spend time with somebody who openly talks badly about me, you are choosing her over me, and that is something that I would never do to you. In fact, if somebody were to speak ill of you, I would not like them anymore, because you are my husband and my everything, and an insult towards you is an insult towards me." She sighs and runs her hands through her hair. "I do not pretend to know what goes on in your head, Erich. I only know what you show me, and what I - and everybody else who goes on Twitter or knows of our troubles - see is somebody who emotionally abandoned their wife when she was obviously very upset and very scared." She shakes her head. "Please do not act like me threatening to keep the baby from you is without reason. You cannot even be alone for a couple weeks without turning to heavy, dangerous drugs. Do you honestly think having a child is going to fix that? Can you honestly tell me that you see absolutely nothing wrong there?" Her voice finally raises at the end of her last sentence as her eyes widen. It was one thing to insult and hurt her, but when it came to her baby, that was a completely different and much more consequence-filled story.

Ada nods and makes agreeing noises throughout Erich's last bit. "You are right. Maybe I do not trust you as much as I feel like I do. She is pretty and she is near, and you are handsome and near. My brain makes up the worst possible situations and then I cannot get them out of my head. It is difficult to be so far away from you for me as well. I just do not get the pleasure of turning to drugs to drown out my feelings..." She sighs, and touches her belly lightly. "You are right about that as well. It is not news to me. I suppose I just notice and worry about it more now that it will not just be you and I it effects. I do not plan on changing you. But I cannot have you doing heavy drugs and expect to still see me or your child. I am not changing you, but you will have to change if you are wanting to keep us."

Ada sighs, letting out just a little laugh. "Calling you would have been difficult with both of those women around, or I would have..." She says back. "The only thing is that I know the moment I hang up the phone, you will go right back to being with them, and this whole conversation - everything I have been saying about feeling betrayed and hurt - will be for nothing..." She lets out a small smirk. "You can use your best judgement for that, can you not? If you have to ask and wonder about it, then it is too heavy of a drug. Simple as that."

Ada bites her lip a little, but nods. She did think that Erich needed to get out of there. Not only for her sake, but for his sake as well. "Will you come here and be with me...?" She asks softly, wondering if that is too much to ask out of the man who she only a few minutes ago asked him to give up drugs - a huge part of his life. "Erich, I got out of the hospital and one of the first things Erica said to me was that she thought you had a drug problem and needed help. Do you know how scary that is? I would not be able to tell you 'Yes, you can still do these scary drugs when you are not at home' and still feel like I am being a good wife. I would be too afraid of losing you."

Ada looks out the window of Erica's bus and sees that her bus is still with the pack. Apparently nobody sent it home. "We will not have to pile into her bus, I promise. Mine is still here. She just will not let me go into it alone." She sighs and nods. She knew that this drug problem was probably not a chemical addiction, but perhaps it was a habitual one. Either way, it wasn't something that she thought she could live with anymore. "I do not mind drinking... tasteful drinking, at least. And smoking I have never minded, you know that. I just... I want our child to have the best we can give them, and if one of it's parents is not even sober enough to be around, then... then..." A couple tears go down her face and she tries not to make an audible sob. "I will help you. I will do whatever you need me to do."

"Well, unless she wants to watch us have make up sex, I do not think she will have a problem with us going to my bus after you come back..." Ada says back in a slightly coy way, trying to make the atmosphere a bit less tense. She leans against the corner of the wall and listens to her husband. They both had had pretty shitty parents, and she knew that neither one of them wanted to repeat their parents mistakes. That's why they were going to make sure this worked. "I will not let you become a shitty musician, Erich. Nor will I let you find Jesus. You are married to a Jewish woman. Your children will be Jewish. You are not allowed to worship Jesus." She giggles a little. "I love you, too, meine liebling. Just please come soon, okay? I want to sleep next to you again."
