Set Me Free is the fouth single by American singer-songwriter Amy-Jayne, but is the third to be taken from her debut album 'Spotlight'. The song was written by Amy along with her boyfriend Will.Rocca, the song was also produced by Will.Rocca along with word famous producer Avril Hartman, this song marks a change in direction for Amy-Jayne as it has a more R&B Cunk&B vibe compared to her earlier dance-pop sound, the song is set for release 22nd of September with a music video the following week.

The song starts with a small quiet beat before Amy begins to sing the first verse, she then speaks a verse. The beat for the song was kept simple and is relatively the same throughout the whole song, this song shows off Amy's incredible vocal range with many parts of the song being sung in higher octaves. there is also a section towards the end of the song were Amy raps somthing Amy has never tried or showcased before, she then sings the last bridge of the song before the beat plays out before the song ends.

When asked about why she wrote the song Amy stated that she wrote it to show how much she not only loves Will, but how he has changed her life for the better. The song means a lot to Amy because before Will came into her life, she was in a fairly dark place and she feels that Will has set her free. Amy decided to release this as her comeback single, because it shows the new and improved Amy, she also wants to try and bring competition to the likes of new rising star Barbarian and Aubrey.

Amy had stated that the music video for the song is going to be simple, it will be her standing in front of a white background with her outfits alternatively changing while she sings and dances, she stated that the music was to be simple because it was to show the new her and also that her label Titanic Records wanted to keep it simple. The video is set for release a week after the single is released.
