The Instrumental to Advice (freestyle) plays as the station comes back on.
Michelle: “Alright, we got a lot of people calling and texting to ask the man of the hour right now, Kidd Amaze, some question. How are you feeling right you good?”
Kidd: “Right now I’m a little nervous, I kinda left it open for people to ask anything and now I’m having doubts.” He said getting situated in the chair and put his headphones on.
Julius: “Well since we have some time I going to start with the first question, why aren’t you having your music on the radio you trying to take shots at us is it because you light skin.”
Kidd laughed as he looked to his left “No it’s nothing like that at all, I feature on so many tracks already to try to get my name out there. I’m just didn’t want to oversaturate myself.”
Julius: Looks confused at Kidd “Oversaturate? Nigga you smart, what the hell.”
Kidd laughs more nodding his head “I try to be, you know how hard it is to actually be a rapper but go to school?”
Michelle: “Julius, he’s 19. Some people do music while going to school.”
Julius: “I’m just saying though he going to the dictionary with that word, I’m shocked I was expecting a little less than that.”
Michelle: adjusts her mic and get a sheet of paper with the entire twitter question “Alright I got all the questions from twitter right here, you ready Kidd?”
Kidd: “Yea I’m ready?”
Julius interrupts and asks his own question: “Who you fucking?”
Kidd laughs more as Michelle talks to Julius “Julius, shut the fuck up. Do we need to turn your mic off.” She told him as Kidd tried to compose himself “That would be private info.”
Julius shrugged his shoulders “Tell me that’s not one of the questions. A lot of people want to know that.”
Michelle calms down as she looks at her paper “Kidd you worked with a lot of artist. Is there anyone you would love to work with that you haven’t?”
Kidd thinks about it “Umm, there are a lot of people that I want to work with. You know who just came to my mind Isaac Lovelock. I haven’t had a chance to meet him yet so hopefully I can work with him.”
Julius nods his head “That man is good, I heard some of his stuff.”
Michelle smiled “When you’re not doing music what are you doing in your free time?”
Kidd: “I’m mostly into my music all the time. Which is why a lot of my teachers are mad, they want me to pay attention during class but a lot of people are like star-struck that I’m in a classroom.”
Julius: “So you’re seriously a college student,”
Kidd nods his head “No doubt, education is very important and I don’t know if I always going to be able to do music.”
Michelle claps her hands “Preach! Tell him that he needs to go back to school it’s never too late.”
Julius: shakes his head and takes the paper away from Michelle “you giving him all of the light question, let’s find a good one, Ah here we go. Out of all the females you work with who would you like to take on a date? Careful now some of these women have husband,”
Kidd looks away “Man, shit.” Laughs as he thinks about the people he has work with. “There so many people, can I take them all out.”
Julius hit the noise for the buzzer “Nigga stop being pc. Only one, we hear all the rumors are you and Mariko going out?”
Kidd laughs as they bring up the rumors “I hear them all the time. I got to be honest I never thought that I would be in the rumors with some of the people the media place me in. I was an ugly duckling growing up.”
Julius: “I call Bullshit! Total bullshit on that! You’re the ugly one.”
Michelle reaches over and hits Julius “be nice,” she then turns over to kidd “You have to see that you being ugly was hard to believe,”
Kidd nods “I had low self-esteem about myself and I dress down and be depress because of it. I was a virgin like a year ago.”
Julius: “Yo man don’t be coming up here with lies son. You Lied, I hear you all over talk about sex like it’s nothing.”
Kidd: “It’s true in fact part of that song love for you talks to my last relationship and how he never worked out but I still care about her.”
Michelle: “Really?”
Julius: “You still didn’t answer the question who would you take out on a date?”
Kidd: “Well, I’m kinda starting a new relationship so I can’t really take anyone else out right now,”
Julius: “So it is Mariko! I knew you otakus go together,”
Kidd laughs more “No, I think she is in a relationship with someone, Nina.”
Julius: “so you saying that you wouldn’t hit that,”
Kidd: “You crazy you know that,”
Julius: “It’s called hard hitting questions, already next favorite tv show growing up?”
Kidd: “Aw man so many, I was a big fan of power rangers but the original cast with Jason as the leader I wasn’t much a fan of tommy.”
Michelle “Tommy?”
Kidd smiled and looked over to her “That was the green ranger, I didn’t like him I like the red one more.”
Julius: “You are nerd you know that,”
Kidd cracks up: “that’s not the worst of it I one time started a fight over digimon vs pokemon when I was growing up that I punched a boy in the face,”
Michelle: “You were a trouble maker,”
Julius: “Man I think you lost that battle cause my kids want pokemon now that don’t know what a digimon is.”
Kidd: “They missed out on childhood then,”
They laugh as they good to the next question “I’m going to name some people and you tell me is you would smash or
not.” Julius said looking at him
Kidd sighed “You guys love my love life don’t you.”
Julius: “Alright I didn’t want to bring this up but Kidd over here as he was making his away over here he was signing autographs and women where just biting their bottom lip, stroking his arms, looking at your tattoos. This light skinned mother fucker was getting all the women, I didn’t see not one male over there. All of them where girls,”
Michelle: laughed “You are quite attractive, your in a relationship right now.”
Kidd: “Yea, I sorry but I’m off the menu for right now? Maybe later I would be you never know, but as of this moment I’m not longer looking for anyone. That position has been filled.”
Julius: “You don’t want a side chick?”
Kidd: “it’s crazy, because in all the rumors I’m like the guy on the side that everyone is sleeping with. Like I’m not good enough to be with one person but I just get around and put my flag everywhere.”
Julius: “You’re a rolling stone, okay let’s try this right here, If you weren’t rapping what would you be doing now?”
Kidd: “I might just try my hand in sales. Both of my parents are in sales so I would probably fall into that as well.
Michelle: “What advice would you give someone if they told you that they wanted to be a rapper?”
Kidd: “Be original, and be creative. Don’t do what you don’t know.”
Julius: “So that means you all into the s&m stuff by the way some of your raps are. I’m going to tease you. I’m going to tie you up.”
Kidd laughs “Story about me. All of my friends are older than me and I was mature for my age. My last girlfriend waaaasss 2-0, 20 before we broke up and I was 18 at the time and we had been going out for two years; so I’m 17 years old my girlfriend goes to college, and she is a delta. I get up there and girls are just all over the place I feel like that little kid that goes into the girls locker room and they think it cute. From then on I had no more confidence issues.”
Julius: “Lucky son of a bitch, so you know all the girls want some of you.”
Kidd: “No I don’t take it way, I that thought it was flattery that they looked at me that way. I look at it the same way as I looked with everyone putting me with everybody.”
Michelle: "we are going to end on this note, Kidd There been a lot of talk about unity in the rap and r&b how do you feel about that?"
Kidd: "I don't mind unity, but I like friendly competition. I want to go out and prove that I can be the best out there. "
Julius: "So this thing with Kendrick Lamar talking about killing some of his friends and drake saying he aint apart of that?"
Kidd: "I like both of those rappers, Me personality I going to try to be the best man standing. If I don't there is always another day. If I do I can say I the best out doing rap right now."
Michelle: "so this is sport to you?"
Kidd: nods "I want to be MJ of rap. Not LeBron, not kobe. I want to be Jordan, anybody telling you differently is a liar."
Michelle: "Thanks so much for coming in today." she goes around the table to hug him
Julius: "You light skinned, good looking, talented mother fucker." gives him a handshake.
Kidd: "Thank you guys for having me."
