Alec nods. He'd probably never admit it to any one outside of himself, but he walked the fine line of addiction once or twice in his life as well. He kisses her forehead softly and shakes his head. "That's not going to happen this time," he says back simply. "I won't let it."

Alec's face turned into one of concern, not only for Honor but for Dustyn as well. The little guy annoyed him to no end, but Alec had such a extreme want to keep naive and innocent seeming things like Dustyn innocent and naive... even if they so obviously aren't. "Yeah, I saw some of his Twitter posts. I didn't know if he really was having issues, or if he was just... I don't know, being Dustyn..." He frowns a little. "I would never get rid of you. Ever. I mean that, Honor. Especially not over something like that."

Alec nods. "I understand it, Honor. I know what addicts are like. It's okay. I will still stand by you, even if you are like that," he says back, a little shocked, but also a little hurt that Honor would think he would leave her over something like an addiction. He was much more forgiving than he ever would let on. He softly runs his fingers up and down Honor's arm. "You'll be fine. I mean it. I won't let something like that happen to you again."

Alec nods. "Once or twice," he says back softly. His mother has been an alcoholic for years, but she was never really a harm to anybody or anything, besides her liver. His best friend in Ireland had died of a heroin overdose right before Alec left for America. And then there was his own small addiction, as he had felt himself following in the footsteps of his mother several times. He knew that if he did give into alcoholism, he would never be as nice an alcoholic as his mother was, but that never stopped him from having at least a couple glasses of wine every night. He sighs. He had definitely dealt with addicts before. "It's rough, pet, I know, but it's nothing you can't overcome. I know you. You're stronger than anyone I've ever met."

"Um... yeah. Really close, actually," Alec says back sadly, looking down and nodding. "Look, I couldn't help them, but you mean more to me than anybody else I've ever met. I'll never let anything happen to you." He gives her a small smile and kisses her lightly. "No problem, pet."

Alec nods and smiles at Honor. She was such a good person, through and through. She always talked about how lucky she was to have him, but he was convinced that he was the lucky one out of the two. He frowns a little when she puts on his shirt. He so enjoyed seeing her naked. "Yeah, I think I will. Here, I'll come down with you. We'll open up some wine. It'll be great."

Alec gets out of bed and groans, stretching out. He almost makes a comment about being an old man, but then remembers it upset Honor the last time he did. Instead he just stretches a bit more and follows Honor downstairs and into the kitchen. "White or red tonight, love?" He asks, opening the door to the pantry and looking at his wine rack. He was starting to run low.

Alec grimaces a little at the thought of all Honor's stuff, specifically her more girly things, invading his house. Being turned away from her, he hoped she couldn't see his look of disdain for anything deemed too girly... except for, of course, Barbra Streisand. "Yeah, I have a storage center a few miles from here that only has a washer and dryer in it. You could use it to keep some of your stuff, if you want." He grabs the bottle of white wine and uncorks it, pouring both of them a glass.

Alec smirks and shakes his head. "No, no... this is your house now, too. I would love to have some of your Hello Kitty stuff in it... and whatever other Japanese characters you decide to bring along with you..." He hands her her glass and takes a sip out of his own. "Why do you say that? I'm sure I'll love it. Plus, now I'll get to blame all of the 'girly' things I own on you. This will be great for me."

Alec smirks. "Nobody ever comes over to my house, that doesn't mean I don't have friends," he counters, shaking his head. Sure, none of his friends were coke addicts or pop stars, like Honor's seemed to be, but they were still his friends. His house had been a work in progress since he moved in. His friends had just learned to stop asking to come over to his. And Honor would just have to deal with the fact that not all of them had dicks either. "Whatever, babe. You look sexy in anything." He shrugs and takes another longer sip of his drink.
