A Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a Dream, Saw movies, Silent Hill (the story is pretty damn good despite being a horror movie) and The Last King of Scotland. The ones I can think of at the moment. XXY is also a pretty great movie. |
I own:
Andrew Guinnard (Post-punk/acoustic) Lucy Tankeray (Pop diva/weird) |

im sorry but silent hill the film is possibly one of the worst films i have ever wasted £4 on. It is an appalingly crass film which although looks good in places is overall an appalingly badly directed, scripted, shot and edited piece of shite. hig hfive for the last king of scotland though. when i saw titanic, i was blown away with how good it looked... thats all i can really say about it :P just watched a film called Gomorrah.... absolutly brilliant http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0929425/ |

At least me and my sister loved when all the religious people were teared apart :P This Gomorrah movie sounds good, I'll have to take a look at it. I totally forgot Bicho de Sete Cabeças, a fucking great brazilian movie about a guy whose parents throw him into a mental asylum just because he smoked weed. Amazing acting of Rodrigo Santoro (some of you probably know him). |

Gomorrah is brilliant..
i would also highly recomend Che parts 1 & 2... i picked them up for £10 which is possibly the bargin of the centuary.
there is just nothing about Silent hill that i liked. Yes it attempted a nice twist towards the end, where the townsfolk are actually evil, but byt he time it got to there i was so bored and angry at the film that i didn't care. |

I downloaded the first part of Che ages ago, still haven't had the time to watch it :P Is it worth to burn into a DVD? I hate watching movies on the computer. |

Fight Club, Requiem For A Dream...
I'm a sucker for films like The Breakfast Club too. Shame though, John Hughes passed away recently. :( |

That was a bloody epic bit of film watching. But that was how I spent New Years Day! Great films. My favourite movies would be a mix of light comedies like Bill And Ted, The Blues Brothers, and then stuff like Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, A Scanner Darkly, Blade Runner, god, I'm struggling to think of other favourites. |

Oh yeah, and I absolutely Star Wars. The whole original trilogy is great, and fuck it, the prequel trilogy were perfectly fun, even if they point out the obvious: Lucas should leave the directing to people who aren't useless and conveying emotion. The scenes with Anakin and Padme on Tatooine in Attack Of The Clones or whatever it was called was some of the worst acting I've seen, and that's funny because Natalie Portman is a pretty good actress.
I just like good movies man. I did have a spell a few years back when I went loving all over Takeshi Miike movies like the awesome Ichi The Killer, the vile Audition and the so, so, so, so, so bizarre zombie musical romp that was Happiness Of The Kutakuris. That last one is fucking spectacular fun. |

I also like the entire star wars series, and i think in a way the childishness of the first two films is a nice representation of the innocence of the Galaxy before the asctual re-emergence of the sith. |

forgive my Dyslexia for ruining your enjoyment of a topic... Alas Dyslexia make proof readin pointless, because it is a type of Brain condition where even though you know how words are spelt and put together, your brain "misfires" and can put words together incorrectly and even though you know this you don't actually realise it at all, even when proof reading.
