I'll be writing updates here whenever I can, as I feel it's a better way to communicate with you all, instead of the restrictions with Twitter. Just because you don't see me reply to your tweets doesn't mean I'm not looking, and I'm extremely grateful of all the love & support you guys have shown, at times when I've most needed it. Sometimes things don't always work out, and that's okay, you hurt, but you move on from it. It's just the way life is. Writing has been what I've turned to in these trying times, in fact, it feels like all I ever do these days is write. I have so many songs, a lot of them you guys won't even get to hear, why? I'm a perfectionist in every way, and when it comes to making the track list to my album, nothing can be less than 100%, so a lot of stuff will be thrown out the window. But it's good news! It's going to be great for that reason, very great. Because you'll only hear the very best, and this stuff is really good. I don't want to say that my new album is going to be the best thing since sliced bread... but it kinda is. ;) But in all seriousness, it's coming together very well & I can't wait for everyone to hear it next year. You think it's torture waiting? Try being me! I want you all to hear it just as bad as you want to. It was recently revealed that Arianna Harley had bought my shares in North Hill Records, and I wish her all the best with the label. She's a very talented, smart woman, who I know will do a great job. Along with selling my half of the label, I have also decided to leave North Hill. I am officially unsigned and without a home! Why? It was the right decision for me, I need a fresh start and have a new chapter in my life to begin. I don't want to have any negative feelings asssociated with a label that was very near and dear to me, so now was the time to leave. At this current moment, I'm not searching for a label and will possibly start up my own, purely for myself, so I can focus on every single aspect behind my next album release. Aside from my hectic life, my favourite group of girls and I just put out our new album Make a Scene to stream and we are SO thrilled to finally have it out there for you guys to sing along to! I want to thank Stephanie Fierce and the guys of Blood of Wecz especially for featuring on an album that we feel is incredibly special to us. Me, Chantal, Kimberly and Sophia wrote each and every song on the album, we executively produced it & put a lot of hard work into the record, and to see the response so positive is a great, great feeling. We love you! After feeling like I was going round and round and was never really finding true happiness, I'm glad to say that I feel free now. I've got so much to look forward to, and I've got nothing to hold me down, I'm determined to make this next year in my life the best yet, because as a woman who's been through more than most, I feel like I deserve it. Mark Talley, who many of you know from Blood of Wecz, has helped me so much through these darker times, and I'm very grateful for that. The two of us have recently experienced a break-up, so it was great to just talk with him in the studio when we were working on "Soul to Sell", someone to share the weight of the world with. I no longer like labels, call it "dating", "hooking up", whatever you wish, but I'm happy to have him in my life. Take that Culture Uncut! (Is that what I should call you these days? IDEK) I know it's been a lil while since I wrote you guys, it's been a quiet time for my poor, lonely Tumblr page, but I promise when the beginning of 2014 arrives, things will start to get a lot more exciting around here! I didn't write the one blog to get all your hopes up, then just disappear. This page is a me to you, a direct way of communication and I feel a lot closer to my fans here than on Twitter, sadly my busy schedule doesn't allow me to write so often, but I try my best, promise! Sometimes it's really good for me to just sit and write, especially because I'm someone who needs to do that to clear her head, whether it's in a blog post or a song, it's all very necessary. I just wanted to thank you all for your sweet messages for my 29 birthday, all the tweets, the pictures you talented artists drew, the videos you made... I noticed plenty of them and can't thank you all enough. It was a good day. I spent it with loads of friends and had the best few days, cherishing who I have in my life. At this time of the year, I think it's important to realise what we all have, I certainly feel like I take it for granted sometimes. Earlier in the week, I visited children who were affected by Sandy last year and handed out presents to them to make sure this Christmas is better for them. They were SUPER cute and so grateful, I wanted to steal them all! I also took a flight out to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to visit their patients and talk to many of them. Cancer is something close to my heart, so to hear their stories and struggles brought tears to my eyes, it was a great feeling to be there with them all and be told I had brightened up their day. There's only TWO shows left of the Reckless Infinity Tour, it's crazy how quick it's gone, but I've loved performing every other night in GirlSpice. Thank you to everyone who's come to see a show! It's been amazing to travel with so many talented acts. Although for the rest of you guys, it's good news as I can get more time to finish up this record... which will be wrapped up in a week or two, yay! Jared Nevo, the handsome devil in Hey Lolita, has produced all the songs with me and we've really crafted such a strong body of work that I'm so excited to share with you guys. I got a collaboration all finished the other week and I'm like AAAAAAAAAAHHHH cause it's amazing and I want you to hear it already... you'll find out who the person is in a few weeks. I've loved their music from the very start, so it's amazing to have them on a track of mine. For now, here's a picture of Jared and his adorable, super friendly dog, Porkchop. Even though it's a girl. But it's okay, because it's named after the dog from that amazing show Doug, all is forgiven. The venue will be the only place you can catch Nadia Berry live this time round, as she decided against a world tour for something a little more simplistic and natural. In an official press release, Nadia stated the following, "I'm so excited to be performing twenty shows over the space of a month at such a well respected concert hall in London, it's a venue I've never performed at before and it's a dream come true to know it's finally happening. I had the idea to perform a set of shows there for this album, I feel the sound I've gone for on this record really suits that intimate setting, and it'll be exciting to bring Diamond in the Rough to life in front of my fans in such a beautiful place. These will be my first ever set of shows as a solo artist in my home country, and I'm going to make sure they're unforgettable."
