nina asks the bartender for some motts,in the only way she knows how, "yo,spike. ya got the motts?" she says in a heavy brooklyn accent. the bartender looks at her funny until she finally says,"apple juice,love! she is my designated driver. that makes it free right?" she giggles as he pours allicat some juice. nina shrugs. " cant really say why,love. just seemed like a good idea. i got it all. a successful band,a husband hung like a Buffalo, a wonderful daughter...i just need a night out. how about miss allicat?" nina asks. Alex Simms and Maddie Urie walk into the bar, they're both casually dressed for the evening. Upon entering the DB Hotel, they look around the room of the bar and find themselves a spare table near the back of the room. They sit down and begin chatting before a waitress walks over to take their orders, they order their drinks and continue chatting, the two are good friends having become signed to the same label around the same time and having similar personalities as each other. They both appear to be in a good mood, both have recently released new singles and are on their to establishing themselves in the music industry.
"So you're going on tour with my big brother, huh?" asks Maddie, her brother being James Urie. "Yeah, I plan on stealing all of his fanbase" replies Alex, only half-jokingly. "All is fair in love and war, right?" she says, laughing slightly at Alex's rather ambitious claim.
