i am sure we are all against Animal testing in Human products (or at least i hope so), but what about cruelty to animals during research for things like dog food? where do you stand on it? should it be allowed? a good example of this is the company Iam's and a few things they have done which i personally find abhorent. for example, cutting out Dogs voice box's simply because they found the baring annoying.. cutting lumps out of dogs muscle. Force feeding dogs vegetable oil. Killing cats and dogs in lethal research. http://www.uncaged.co.uk/news/2003/iams.htmhttp://www.uncaged.co.uk/news/2005/iams.htm#mushhttp://www.uncaged.co.uk/iamsexposed.htmhttp://www.uncaged.co.uk/iamsspin.htmhttp://www.uncaged.co.uk/iamsexpress.htm |

Myself, I use vegan friendly products which aren't tested on animals, cause I'm opposed to the whole ideal. Though many people really aren't bothered about where their products come from, because in the long run, it's not affecting them personally. |

I'm pretty much against animal testing in any way shape or form, even though I know that it has reaped great medical benefits for humanity, and will continue to do so. When it comes to this, I'm what you might call an anti-humanist. What gives us the right? Apparently nothing more than sheer capability. |

I'm honestly disgusted by this, I know that these people are going to burn in the eternal hell that they've created. I find sadness that none of us here really have any say about really, despite talking about it. Words whispers, Actions scream.

The thought of it itself sickening.
It should only be allowed if the dog gets to do the same to you. In other words, it is impossible so it shouldn't be done.

I'm a vegetarian so I obviously stand against any kind of animal cruelty. I always try to buy animal friendly products but it's hard in Brazil because nobody knows which corporations use animals and which don't. The ones we know are the double of the price, and I'm not rich, what makes it complicated to me :( One of the reasons why I didn't turn vegan yet. |

It absolutely disgusts me, and I only wish I could do more but, like Rincewind, I avoid any products I know test on animals in any way and I spread the word. I don't press other people not to buy it, that's their decision, but I'll certainly tell them what products do/don't test and what they do. Everyone should know what exactly their money is contributing towards. |

Medical testing is sad but ultimately the positives outweight the negatives. But why does a dog food company need to test animals? That's bizarre and stupid and utterly unneccessary. |

Well dog food probebly needs to test it on animals to check the ingrediants dont kill the dogs? But still, they should be treated a lot better. But like when they used to do the things with the hair products, that shit was just wrong. Never buying Iams again though. |

Yeah I mean that's just seriously over the line. Oh, see now that's just fucked up. But surely they do have to carry out some tests otherwise like i said it could kill the animals? Or is there an alternative? |
