Organizer: Good afternoon to all of you in attendance. We are very glad that you all could make it here today. The plan for today is for Nevaeh to give you all an important update and announcement, as well as speak about her current plans with Studio60/Tric Jam Records. Following that, Nevaeh will be answering questions for the reporters. Please stay on topic.

Nevaeh nods as she smiles holding the mic in her hand

Organizer: Nevaeh, whenever you are ready.

Nevaeh smiles picking the mic up to her mouth and speaking clearly to the audience packed with reporters

Nevaeh: First I want to thank each and every one of you for coming here today for this press conferance since it has been quite a while since I have done one of these but lately with many new things happening, it really calls for one. We all know that Tric Jam Records has become something that I never imagined it to be. My vision, that I had in 2010 when Will Rocca approached me to take over the label and have it reached the heights seemed almost inevitable. I remember sitting in my office and thinking to myself "what the hell have I signed onto", and stressing about where to go next with all the pressure of having a label. But at the end of the day I myself knew we, as the Tric Jam team could do it, and did every single thing that I needed to do and realized how much I loved my job and loved watching and developing wonderful talent that came from all over the world flourish and become fully fledged stars. I've been able to work with and sign artists like Dominic Brown, Tisha Jackson, and Chanel just to name a few who really took the label to new heights. My vision was exceeded by 2011, when Tric Jam grossed over 15 million dollars over the calendar year. The days where I felt insecure about my position were over, and I believe in my abilities as a producer, owner and business woman and I still thank those responsible for such a success, including Layla Raine, who I gave the opportunity to co-own the company along with myself.

Since 2011, I have been working tirelessly to continue to keep Tric Jam at its peak as urban music's biggest label and in 2012 things really begin to change, not in terms of the success of the label but what is going on behind the scenes. Last year, when it was announced that Studio60 would be merging with our respected parent company, Studio60, I thought it would be for the better. And I think it benefitted the label in a way but I also feel like it hasn't. Have you all ever heard of the term "too many chiefs, not enough Indians"? That is what I feel has been the major problem. I haven't been able to see eye to eye with a few people over at the label who I once were able to see eye to eye with, but never do I let personal relationships get involved with my work but even more so, lately there have been a lot of executive decisions that have been made having to do with Tric Jam Records, without me even being notified. That's where it becomes a huge problem. The communication that was once the key part of our business has plummeted greatly, and I feel like I've lost what I once felt for Tric Jam Records. The unity that I once felt we had is no longer there, it might be between others but myself personally, there's no communication and I feel as if, if I can't be notified about large decisions being made then it's best for me to announce my resignition from Studio60 and Tric Jam.

My respect, gratitude and appreciation toward Gia, Layla, Pete, Julian, Ansley, Emily and Nina will remain for years as we've all made Studio60 and Tric Jam such a massive label and I recognize everyone's hard work but I feel as if it is time to wrap it up there and move onto other endeavors. I've been feeling like this for quite a while now, and I've been holding on for the sake of the artists over at the label who I've been working with but I feel like now it's time for me to go. I won't stay anywhere, where the morale continues to tank. Now that I have cleared that completely up, I would love to move onto something much more uplifting.

FREEDOM. I've been working on creating an imprint or label, if you will, for quite some time now but felt it would really bump heads with my work over at Tric Jam. Starting from scratch with the proper funding that I needed to create the label and offer the proper resources for the talent have been made, and the label is just about ready to be launched. The freedom to express yourself through music of all genres and styles are welcome. I want my artists to feel as if they are being provided with the perfect backing and freedom to create whatever type of music they want without feeling as if they are being controlled, but more or less free. As an artist, freedom is so important to your brand and without the freedom to express yourself the way you to, it will seriously affect the quality of your work. I want to properly develop the artists that are signed to FREEDOM when the label is officially launched, so they can experience being a freedom artist and maintain working relationships with the artists. COMMUNICATION is key. Although artists signed to freedom will be free to do what they want musically, I would love to communicate with them and make them feel as if they are a part of a label and not just another name to bring in money. I take my job seriously so I need hard workers over at Freedom, yes, you do have the Freedom to do what you want with your music but that does not mean you have the freedom to slack off and be lazy. We will work with you. But I cannot condone a slacker, I am determined to make this next endeavor my biggest venture ever and I am very excited for future. Thank all for listening today, you may feel free to ask your questions

Reported 1:Do you feel you will receive backlash from your former co-workers since you are now leaving Studio60?
Nevaeh: Probably will, maybe I won't. That's not really my concern.

Reporter 2: You say, that you weren't happy with things going on behind the scenes at Studio60-TricJam, are you currently on speaking terms with Layla and Gia. You were once the best of friends with both.
Nevaeh: I speak to Gia every now and then.

Reporter 3: Do you regret merging Tric Jam with Studio60?
Nevaeh: I do not regret it at all. I just wish I was more involved with executive decisions being made, I mean, you know, I am an owner as well. Especially if its decisions being made about Tric Jam.

Reporter 4: Will FREEDOM be launching before the new year?
Nevaeh: If things really work in my favor, yes. There are a few things that need to be cleared before I am able to do so and if that happens in a timely matter then the new label will be launched as soon as possible.

Reporter 5: Should other labels be worried about FREEDOM?
Nevaeh: At this point, no. I am not looking to compete with anyone. I want to focus solely on the talent, launch and growth of the label. Now, don't get me wrong. When we are fully up and running we will bite back if someone bites at us. Like I said, I take my work very serious.

Reporter 6: Have you signed any new artists? If not, have you at least had any meetings?
Nevaeh: I am currently in the scouting process. After today, there are a string of meetings that will be made.

Reporter 7: Which act are you most excited to sign?
Nevaeh: I don't think it will be business savvy to publicly announce who I am interested in signing.

Stephanie Fierce: I completely understand where you are coming from, and it makes sense. I think it's unfortunate all the same. I respect all women in business who've managed to rise above the men and become their own bosses. It is not easy and the respect we earn takes a load of work. I wish you all the success on your new venture. I think you delivered the news with class and dignity and I wish nothing but success to both Studio 50 and your new label FREEDOM.

Nevaeh: Absolutely and you just spoke words of truth! It really hasn't been easy but I am grateful to have been able to create a foundation to be able to go and tackle new and other ventures. Thank you so much Stephanie, your kind words and truth are always greatly appreciated. I wish you all the best as well.

Scott: I got a joke for you...what happens when you give a sniff of power to nothing more than a fat ass with an ego? Nevaeh Martinez ladies and gentlemen. I'm glad to hear you have your own label now. Let's face it, you're always happier when it's all about Nevaeh, and that's what you'll get with your own business. Make sure to get an office with its own gravitational pull as well. That way everything can revolve around you again. That's why you threw the toys out the pram after all, because it wasn't all about Nevaeh, right?

Ooc: All IC obvs lol :P

Nevaeh: You know its really a shame that anything little dig you can make toward me, you follow up on. You just never get the point that I literally do not care what you think or assume. The days where you got under my skin are over, you are a non factor Scott. Focus on your label, actually...while I focus on mine

OOC: Of course lol! Thanks for commenting :)

Nevaeh: Absolutely! I love you too Tisha. You know that. Even though I won't be over at Tric Jam anymore, you remain my sister :). Fulfill those requirements over there so you can do what's best for you ;)
