"Oh, right... The weekend with Dustyn and Erica. How did that go?" Alec asks, remembering. His weekend had mostly consisted of walking around his house in his boxer shorts, listening to Wagner, and pretending to direct the symphony playing it. It had been a pretty nice weekend, but he enjoyed the ones that he spent with Honor more. "Eh, the paper is coming along pretty well. Actually, this paper is on something you probably know more about than I do. It's about the hypnotic trance that is put over people by the music played in clubs. It's kind of a musical phenomenon, to be honest. The Native Americans used the same method during their rituals and ceremonies - but with drums rather than synthesizers."

"Oh, yeah? Wild? What do you three do?" Alec asks, keeping his voice level and unaccusatory. He wasn't sure if there was any part of Honor that was into women, but he was sure that Erica would pounce on it if Honor made that part of her known. And he had seen enough teen movies to know that at sleepovers, girls make out. He just wanted to know if anything like that had happened over the weekend. "Yeah, it could be the liquor... and with the Indians, the peyote. But still." He laughs with her. "Music is a very psychological thing. It has incredible powers."

"Yeah, that sounds like fun. The three of you together. Just sounds like an explosion of pink rainbows and kitty cats," Alec says back, smirking a little bit. The three of them were like the posters kids for sexualized innocence. He could imagine that the whole night consisted of talking about puppies and their favorite dildos. "Why, because of the peyote or because of it's psychological effects?" He asks with a small smile, grabbing his sunglasses off of the small outdoor table next to him and putting them on.

Alec laughs at Honor describing their weekend as too trashy for his taste. It was true. He probably would have spent the entire time mentally judging everything they said and trying to find polite ways to say that he actually knew nothing about anything they were talking about. Also, having your boyfriend come to a sleepover with your friends sounds like it would be pretty awkward. He shrugs. "Hey, I'm glad you had a good time, though. I think it's great that we can have a couple days apart, and not feel like we're empty - or whatever you want to call it - without each other." He meant that. He and Honor - or, at least, he - had jumped head first into this relationship, and then had spent the rest of the time trying to focus on other things. He knew that if he let himself, he would focus all of his time and attention on her, and would never be okay with her leaving to spend the weekend with her friends. But this weekend had been a great time - for both of them - and now he was happy to have her back in their house. "Serenity? Serenity Scott? Uh, yeah, sure. I guess." He shrugs. "I didn't realize you two were friends."

Alec smirks a little and leaves over across the small table to kiss Honor. "Of course I missed you," he says back with a smile. "If you ever went away again, I'd probably cry myself to sleep every night. Or - you know - more often than I do already." He winks and then leans back in his chair. "Wha-- I thought Jennifer was-- No. No, see, my problem isn't that I don't remember your friends, my problem is that you have too many of them." He gives out an exasperated sigh, chuckling a little to himself. "I've never even heard you mention Serenity before."

Alec grins. "Yes, I'm sure that passing out on your friend's couch at 3 AM with nobody to make out with is a pretty traumatic experience," he says back with a smirk, giving Honor a joking smile. "No, I think somebody could argue that one could have too many friends. And I think somebody could also argue that you, Honor Wynter, have too many best friends. But go on." He grins at her again, loving these kinds of conversations. "I don't hate all of them. What about that guy that Dustyn was dating when we all went out together? I liked him. What was his name?"

"Yeah, but out of all eight of those friends, you've called at least seven of them your best friend at one point or another. I'm not looking for the whole, 'You can have more than one best friend' speech. I'm just saying that it doesn't look like it takes a lot to be your best friend." Alec grins and then says quietly, "I think you're a bit of a best friend slut, Honor." He chuckles and relaxes into the chair, closing his eyes. "Be friends with Owen. I liked him."

Alec chuckle a little and then wraps his arm around Honor's waist when she comes to sit next to him, pulling her towards him. "And what a fantastic job you do, pet," he says with a smile, looking at her from over his sunglasses. "What? Owen and Dustyn aren't dating anymore? Aw, why...?" He seems genuinely upset that we wouldn't be seeing Owen anymore, even though it was just that once. "Uh, I don't know. Whenever, I guess. You'll probably be disappointed, though. They're not famous and partier, like yours are."

Alec laughs and shakes his head. "I care very much about Dustyn and Owen's break up. Very much," he says, trying to maintain a straight face. "Owen was just the type of guy I thought I could have a glass of wine with. The rest of your friends don't seem like that type. Maybe Serenity. I don't know." He sighs, the dreams of being friends with one of Honor's friends - dashed. He laughs at Honor's joke and shrugs. "You know, you say you're kidding, but..." He winks and gives her a little smirk. "I have a friend that used to be an escort. Now she's a ballerina. So, you know. Progress."

Alec laughs with Honor and smiles. "If it makes you feel any better, you're the one I enjoying having a glass of wine with the most. Serenity will probably just be a passing phase as a wine buddy. You'll always be my favorite." He winks and then shrugs. "I actually know nothing about Jennifer, honestly. And as for who she's engaged to, I can't ever remember if it's Riley or Scott. So there." He raises his eyebrows in a definitive "ha!" and then smirks. "Yeah, Jayne is an interesting person. She self-identifies as a lesbian, but has no problem having sex with men for money. Darwinism, huh?"
