Ladies and gentlemen,

In 2011 we experienced what we thought was going to destroy us as a band, and for a little while it did, but the time has come to continue, which is something we never thought we could do after losing our friend, one of the founding members, Luke Jell.

Since we went our separate ways two years ago at one time or another we've all wanted to go back to being in this band, but unfortunately when it started to come together we had some news from Ben who informed us that he won't be joining us in the next chapter of this bands story.

We took a long time to decide on how we were going to approach this, and to many of our fans our name never truly changed in 2009, that's why we're proud to say that we are Smash Up once again.

The big question that all of you have been asking is who will be the bands new drummer, so without further delay, I'd like to introduce the two new members of the band.

Taking the position of drummer is, as a lot of you speculated the man who took on the position when we said goodbye in 2011, one of Luke's best friend and someone we haven't been on the road without since 2008, please officially welcome James Holloway as the new Smash Up drummer.
And as we mentioned, Ben has decided that he will not be part of the band anymore due to personal reasons, we took some time deciding who will be filling the gap he left, so could you all also welcome Chris Davies, someone that we grew up with and who was actually a member back in 2005 for some time while Ben was ill and here he is, taking the same spot that he did 8 years ago, we're a little bit different now though!

Deadeye: It's funny how you experienced the near same exact problem the Leopard Five is in now. Do you have ant tips on how to get our band back together?

Before we start this fairly brief entry, we'd like to apologise for how quiet we've been over the last couple of months, but working on material was a lot more important than talking about it!
We've already told you the tracklist for the album, and that's about it really.

We'd first like to say how overwhelmed we were with the feedback that we've had from the awesome people that made it down to the London show and the thousands of you that have watched the videos of the new songs from the said gig, your comments have filled us with confidence ahead of this album, we're very happy with it and the reception the two tracks have received.

The time has come to release some recorded music for you people though. We can finally tell you that the album is ready to go and the worldwide release date will be Monday, April 21st 2014. We know you've still got over two months to wait but we decided it was best to wait until after our UK tour to release it prior to our busy summer!

What else? Well, we've already told you on twitter that the first single from this album, after a lot of consideration will be track number one, Blood Diamond. We'll be dropping that March 6th, you'll be able to buy it the following Monday. (March 10th)

We've still got so much to tell you about this album and it will come in due time, for now we're going to leave you with this, the album artwork! We've kept it simple just like we did with The Concept, we hope you like it!
