Some girls have this skeptic attitude when it comes to a loved one. They want them to leave but they're also afraid of how the loved one will react. I have been through it before. In this record I am telling a story about how a guy is really hurtful to a female and although she wants him to leave, she's afraid of the outcome...how he will react and if she will be able to move on without him in her life. I think the sound of the song really mixes perfect with the attitude of the record. It's dark, it's haunting and it's a deep record. I think Mark really captured the essence of what I wanted the song to sound like. It's really alternative and hip hop influenced. I wrote the song a while ago and knew this was a gem I would keep for a while. I was in a relationship when I knew the guy I was with wasn't right for me, but to be honest I grew this connection to him that was so hard to break away from and I was afraid of what would happen if I told him I didn't want to be with him, and I was afraid of how I would feel being alone. I think alot of girls deal with this and I think this is yet another track thats relatable as a whole but at the end of the day you should follow your heart, and I followed mine and I realized that since he can't respect me, it was about that time for him to leave. This record was really therapeutic for me because its coming right from my heart and I'm happy to be able to share this one with all of my fans. Domestic violence is a huge problem within society and I just want women to feel comfortable enough to speak up and I felt that I needed stand up and start pushing for this cause. I've been wanting to do it for a while but after I'm Scared was recorded I felt that it was perfect song to use as the start of this endeavor. So kind you are, thank you xoxo :)
