Kai just sits on the floor and shrugs. He throws his lighter nonchalantly at the wall opposite him and catches it when it comes flying back at him. "I'm not trying to do anything. I'm just telling you how it looks from the outside. I'm not a scheming cunt, Wynter. I just say it like it is. I play it straight." Kai rubs his hand across his face and stares at the floor. His whole disguised effort to keep his true feelings tucked away was falling apart and he had no reason to try to hide it anymore. "I think we all got fucked that night in more ways than one. I never thought I'd say this, but it would have been a lot fucking easier if that never happened." He coughs. "If you cared, then it would have been easy enough to say it. It's not like you would have expected me to just leave Faith, would you? Telling me would have been better than just dismissing me like you've been doing for the last few months." He looks at her. It hurt him more than anything that she had just been so cold to him since that night. He lowers his eyebrows. "What terrible position would that be? And now you don't even want to be my fucking friend? Oh thanks, Wynter," he says, rolling his eyes and standing up.

Kai looks up at her and shrugs when he sees the look in her eyes. "It's true. Wouldn't have any of this crap going on right now if it didn't happen. Sure, I'd have missed out, but I'd be far less confused and angry all of the time." He could see that she didn't like what he was saying, but he felt like it had to be said. When she gets angry at him again, he walks back to the desk and lifts another cigarette, lighting it and offering the pack to her - or rather almost throwing it at her. "I'm not using fuck all against you. Fuck, stop being so fucking touchy and shit." He takes a long drag and takes his phone out, putting it on the desk in front of him. "No. You're right. It's not fun at all. It's pretty shitty actually. I don't know. Maybe we can't be. I guess it's up to you what happens from here on in." He smirks. When she makes to leave, he shakes his head again. "Of course. Your go-to move, just walking away time and time again. Is that it then? You're just going to walk out?"

Kai just nods slowly. "I agree," he says quite quietly. He was starting to get defensive again. He was hurting bad, and he felt like it was going to change him. Clearly all that getting close to someone brought was pain. Kai felt like he would start closing up and rejecting everyone, the way he was before he met Honor." When she rejects a cigarette, he shrugs. "I didn't remember," he half mumbles. "I don't know. I guess I thought maybe some day if we both felt the same then maybe something would happen." He clears his throat. "I guess not though." He shakes his head. "Forget about you? Is that how it works for you cos it sure as hell isn't for me. Fuck, there isn't a single day goes by when I don't think about you. When I don't hurt over you! You think that just goes away?" He sighs. "Fuck my job. I'm strangely not in the mood now to see other models."

Kai stands taller when she walks over, as if he's expecting her to hit him. "No I'm not fucking deaf," he says, looking down at her. "It is easy for you. You're the one who had the choice and you're the one who made your choice all fine and easy. See?" He takes a hit from his cig and looks down at her. "Maybe you do give a damn, but you were never prepared to take a chance on it," he says with a shrug. "At least when I was closed off and an asshole I never got hurt. By anyone." He shakes his head. "Can you fucking blame me? One time I open up to someone and I end up spending every day of my fucking life hurting when I see you tweet or anything else." He shakes his head and gives the wall a little kick with the toe of his shoe. "So you think that the only reason you're hurting is because you'll hurt someone else? Funnily enough, that's not the reason I hurt. I hurt because, fucking hell it doesn't matter." He shakes his head. "Nothing's going to change, it'll always be like this. I need some fucking drugs right about now." He turns his pockets inside out and shakes his head. "Thought I had some pills." He shrugs again and turns back towards her. "I never said you had it easy, Wynter. Sorry I did any of this and made you have some sort of feelings for me then. And I doubt I'll be with anyone else so don't worry about that. Time to go back and be old Kai. Less pain that way. For me, anyway. This happiness has too much trouble attached."

Kai just looked at Honor now. He could see a change in the way she was looking back. She no longer looked angry at him - she just looked sad and like she had lost some sort of hope. He leans against the wall and walks across the room towards her again as he sighs and runs his hand through his hair, not really knowing what to say to her at all. He narrows his eyes a little as he thinks - things had been easier in his life when he had just seen women as little more than someone to have sex with. Ever since feelings had started to penetrate his mind, it was like a rooting weed, strangling his brain with its base and leaving him without the ability to think straight at all. As she starts to talk after the most painful silence ever. "I'm sorry too. I'm sorry you had to get involved with an ass like me." He shrugs. "It's easier to shut people out isn't it, though? I never used to feel anything....since I let people in? Life is hard." He sighs. He didn't want to lose Honor from his life - not with the way he felt about her. "I know..why wouldn't I understand though?" He shakes his head. "You're not a bad person...you're just...the same as I am. The thing is...I've never been more sure of anything in my life than...." he tails off.

Kai was, at this stage, so confused. He wasn't a fighter. At least not in the emotional sense. Normally he would walk away from something in the very instant that it got difficult to deal with. But this was different. Although his mind was telling him all was lost, there was no doubt his heart was singing from an entirely different hymn sheet, and he could never just walk away from her. She had such a powerful hold over him ever since the first time they had spoken - a connection unlike anything else. He was just drawn to her. She was the only one who could leave him - Kai, the man who had an answer for everything - speechless. When she says she's not sorry she got involved with him, he smiles a little. That meant more to him than she could know. Most people were sorry to even know him, never mind anything more. "Loneliness....I never really let myself think about that in the past," he says honestly. "But yeah, it's scary. I'm sure some psychiatrist would have a field day with my hurtful tweets to you." He was terrified at this stage. He had never been so honest with anyone, at least not when he had no drink or drugs in his system. He just couldn't hold it in now though. it was like his mind was fighting for something he knew was so important. He looks down into her eyes when she says his name, not breaking eye contact. "Yeah....?" he says softly.

Kai realises after a few seconds that he hasn't breathed in a while and he consciously has to force himself to. As he stares at Honor, he realises that no amount of running away, no matter where he went, would stop him from thinking about her almost every waking moment. He looks down and rubs his own arm nervously with his hand. She seemed sometimes like she really got him, like few people ever did. The argument seemed to have gone now, and he could see just how much he was into her when it wasn't clouded by anger - it was nice, even if it was a little awkward. "Yeah - they could write a whole book. A series in fact - on those sessions." He smiles gently before he catches her eye again and realises just how close they are to each other. "Me too. A whole fucking lot," he says. Kai feels a jolt of nerves in his stomach. "I'm sorry for what I'm going to do," he says, laughing nervously.

Kai took a deep breath. He was spontaneous, unpredictable and often did things no one expected - but this was taking even him by surprise. He sighs. "I just have to..." he says quietly before he looks at her straight in the eye and leans forward. Kai presses his lips against Honor's, kissing her in a way that made his own heart beat faster as his hand rests gently on her cheek. Had he really just done that? It was so different to the last time he kissed her. That time it was all about lust and attraction. This was more. It seemed real and it seemed like something he just had to do.

Kai is shocked when Honor doesn't reject him. He had expected her to push him away, to slap him, but when he felt her return his kiss, he relaxes into it. As Kai continues to kiss her softly but passionately, totally lost in the moment, his free arm comes down to her back, holding her closer as he kisses her. It was clear that there was something between them. The way they kissed proved they felt something real for each other and Kai didn't want to let her go.

When Honor lets out a little moan, Kai pulls her a little closer to him. It was impossible for him to resist her, and the feeling of her lips against his made his head spin. She was the perfect kisser, and she seemed to know exactly what Kai wanted. He was completely enamoured with her, and he would give anything to her. As she pulls back from the kiss, Kai looks down at her. He wanted so much more from her, and he keeps his hand on her back, not wanting to let her go at all. "Honor..." he says quietly. Kai continues to stare into her eyes without looking away. He was afraid if he did that she would leave.
