Quote:As promised, this is the second video shot last month for "The End Starts Now", we wanted to make something very theatrical, so there are a storyline on it and also somehow we wanted to explain the reasons that lead people to do stuffs like we did in this video. I never worked with Isaiah before and he is just the perfect choice to create something so cool and high style like this video. I loved it right after I had shot it. Initially this video was supposed to happen a couple of months before, but due to my schedule touring I wasn't able to find time to shoot it, so we left to shoot it after I finished the tour. It was a four days shoot and I'm very proud of the final result. Don't forget to tell me what you think about it. Next week comes the last video of this album to close this era.
“No Love”
Abie Lena
Album: The End Starts Now (Standard and Phoenix Edition)
Directed by: Isaiah SeretAbie is married with an old millionaire man owner of oil fields in the old 70’s living in Texas. He appears to be 60 years old while Abie is vividly on her 20’s. The difference of age doesn’t seem to bother Abie once she only seems to care about fancy cars and diamonds and jewels and all the glamorous life that old poor man could offer her.
As the video starts it’s already revealed that the old man is widower, obviously his first wife has a big portrait of herself in the living room of the manor where he used to live with her and now where he lives with Abie. And that’s the first scene of the video where Abie is facing the portrait of that high class woman on her 40s, exactly the age where she passed away. Abie is all dressed up, they’re going to watch an opera that night.
The old man comes approaching Abie from her back putting his hands over her shoulder, she slightly smiles as they go crossing the front doors of that enormous manor. At the opera in the grandstand, its Abie and her old husband, he drinks and smokes and laughs with his stupid old friends, Abi finds all of that so boring and disgusting, that she can barely fake a smile, and all the time that old crap man kept placing his hands over her legs, she has longs for vomits.
Abie has a remembrance of her sitting in above a piano wearing a white jersey while a handsome young and manly man plays that instruments and caresses Abie’s legs. That young touch is nothing compared to that old man, Abie has beside her, and she even has to support all of his sickness and midnight cries because he can’t stand the fact that he was unfaithful to his former wife and she died of deception. The young man of Abie’s mind is actually her first lover, she wonders someday she’ll be with him again.
While the two scene are happening simultaneously, they belong to different times, the opera scene it’s the actual time where Abie is with her old crap husband, the piano scene happened a couple of days before, Abie cheats her old husband constantly, she doesn’t love him, but he has the lifestyle she always dreamed of and her young lover could never give her a life so glamorous like that.
Abie didn’t know that her old husband already found out the betrayal and late that night they were at home, Abie was in her room, she refuses to sleep in the same room of that drunk old crap man, and just in that night he was already drunk, Abie was on the phone with her young lover, talking about future plans when suddenly that old figure entered the room, screaming and punching Abie on the face.
Abie fell on the ground near the nightstand beside her bed, that old man was with anger and rage on his eyes, Abie never saw him like that before, she quickly managed to grab a gun inside the nightstand and without hesitating she pushed the trigger and shot the man down on his chest. Blood spattered on Abie’s face and that old fat man fell down on Abie’s lap. Abie took a last look on that negligible face pushing him away from her.
Abie raised from the ground and started to clean the scene, for her lucky the man feel right over a white rug Abie had beside her bed, it was incredibly lucky for her, she put that rug in the fireplace, so it would burn with all the evidences, she took the gun with her and cleaned the rest of the room and even herself by taking a shower.
Abie was leaving the manor with gloves and a white dress in her now dead old husband, she arrived at an isolated lake, where she left the car ignited, the body of her old husband was in the trunk of the car, Abie was holding a small suitcase, where she put a lot of jewels and diamonds she took a week before from the safe she found in her husband’s office. She then pushed the car from the back, and it fell into the lake drowning slowly.
It was almost morning when Abie was awaiting for someone in the highway she came the other night, after a couple of hours her young lover comes driving a car and gets near Abie, she smiles at him and enters the car, leaving that place behind, they share a kiss and an evil look to each other, making us understand that all of that murder scene was orchestrated by them since the beginning. While they were leaving that place by car, a photograph is left behind in the middle of the highway, it has Abie on her weeding day with her old husband and Abie’s young lover besides them smiling as if he belongs to the family, and he does belong to that family, in the corner of that photograph there’s a note saying
‘To my son for introducing myself to my young, Lolita brand new wife’.No Love Song
