Ryan was happy that he had just played his last concert of the year two night ago. While he was thankful to be back on the road and singing, there was no bitter-sweetness now that his tour had come to an end for the year. It gave him about four months of not worrying about where he needed to be or have too many business related things on his plate. And if he wants to go under the radar somewhat to decompress, what better place to do that than Montana?

It was nearing two years since he had bought his home in southwestern Montana, and while changes have happened in his life during that span of time, he always returned home. He didn't feel like a musician or much less a celebrity when he was there. One of the more major changes in his life was that he was currently dating Isabel. Their relationship was very much fresh still, just over two months into it. After they reunited in New York City for his concert, Ryan was able to convince her to finally go with him to Montana to not only see where he lived, but also spend a couple of days away from the rest of the world.

Ryan wore a heavy winter sweater over a buttoned down plaid shirt and a plain white t-shirt, with a pair of jeans and boots. He had his truck waiting for their arrival at the airport, it was about an hour long trip between Bozeman Yellowstone airport and his secluded ranch outside of town. They were about halfway through the drive there. Placing one hand on the wheel, he rested his free hand on Izzy's leg as he drove along, smiling happily at her for a moment before turning his attention back on the road. "I'm really happy you decided to come, babe."

Ryan kept his hand resting on her leg, turning his head to her as they came upon a red light. He nodded his head as she spoke, looking out at the clear skied, beautiful winter day in Montana. "I think people need to have a certain taste to enjoy this place, but if you have it, it doesn't get any better."

He stepped on the accelerator once again once the light turned, happy to see the scenery of where he called home. Aside from a short trip there about a month in a half ago, he had not really been there since his tour began. It was an important piece of his life that he wanted to share with Isabel. "There's a small town mentality here. It's the kind of place where everyone knows each other and just a friendly environment. I think you'll like it. We'll go come back into town later and I'll show you my favorite restaurant and bar. Probably run into a few people I know, it'll be nice." He told her with a smile, his hand gently sliding up and down her upper leg.

"Yeah, that's a good way to put it. It's a very homey, welcoming environment here." Ryan chuckled slightly at her excitement. The small town community and mind-set was something he needed after all the negatives of living in Los Angeles or New York City full-time. It was clear that the visual aspect of the town was impressing Isabel, which he very much liked seeing, not sure how she would take the town in.

"It's kind of odd since most of my friends live in L.A. or New York City, but I love the peacefulness found here. I have friends come out sometimes and spend a weekend here, it's really nice." Ryan laughed, thinking back to her surprise birthday party last week. "That did take a lot of planning. Thank goodness my assistant Lindsay gave me a hand there, otherwise it would have failed. At least it went well, despite your friends integrating me. I'm just happy I made it. I flew from New York, to Orlando, to Los Angeles all in 24 hours." He told her with a small chuckle, looking over at her for a second. "It was worth it though."

"I can understand that. It's still fun to me because now I'm more of a visitor when I'm there. I can't ever fully leave Los Angeles, I have way too many friends there to not at least have a place there to stay. The North Hill offices are there too. Plus now I have a girlfriend that lives in LA, as well." He says with a deadpan expression before smirking. While they were still in the early stages, just a few months,, there wasn't much shyness or awkwardness between them. It was as if they were learning each other on the go, yet things seemed to slow down when they were together.

"Awwww, well my door will always be open for you if you decide to ever come here again. After you actually see it, anyways." He laughed softly as his tapped the wheel while he kept driving. "She's pretty great. I'm just happy that you enjoyed it, that was my goal. I just wanted you to have a wonderful time." He smiled softly, as his hand remained underneath hers, feeling her pat it. "I get that. It's very sweet of them to be looking out for you, though. I know how it is being the new boyfriend and all." Ryan chuckled, shrugging his shoulders innocently. "Probably, Iz. I think it's only fair that all your surprises now have to match or surpass mine." He told her with a wink as he smiled.

They were just reaching the outside of town, the small-town scenery now becoming mostly green lands and visible snow-covered mountains in the distance to their sides. "That's the Absaroka Range there. From my backyard you can actually see the peak of it. Soon you'll be seeing the Yellowstone river too. I don't have a pool, but I do have the Yellowstone running through my backyard which is just beautiful."

"Oh no, I'm a one-woman man. I have no desire to replace the current girlfriend I have." He replied with a playful wink back at her. "That makes sense, you do have all your friends and family there. I can't entirely say I've left Los Angeles because I haven't, it's just really comfortable to know I can come up here whenever I want, even if it's just for a weekend or whatever."

He chuckled at her and smirked. "I don't think they'll be too hard on you, really. You've met a couple of them, but maybe we should plan out a night where we can gather some of your friends and some of mine, just all hang out." He laughed at her remark about having to try her hardest to surprise him next. "I mean, you do have a clothing line, you could very easy just get me one of those scarfs. That's pretty weak Miss Merjos, you can do better than that." Ryan laughed, moving his hand up from underneath hers to embrace her hand.

"It's a very unknown land. I guess there's a reason why it's called Paradise Valley when it looks like this. You really don't have too many tour dates in Montana, you know. I haven't played a show here yet actually." He nods his head, smiling at her at how much she seemed to enjoy the environment of Montana already. "I don't think you ever realize how nice it is to have a river in your backyard, until you actually have one. From across the backyard you can see mule deer's drinking water from the river."

Ryan smiles at her, sighing sarcastically. "Thank you, because I may or may not already have your Christmas present bought. Just one of them, perhaps." He added a playful wink before laughing softly. "Yeah, one of the good things about living in a secluded area is that you don't have hunters around. Montana is pretty big with hunting since there's such a large wildlife all around the state." He liked the fact that even with just the drive to his place, she was very much interested in the area he lived. "Well we're just a couple of minutes away now, so you'll be seeing it soon. It's a beautiful 15-acre spread from the frontyard you'll see one mountain spread and from the backyard you'll see another completely different mountain range. I even turned this guest house that was there into a recording studio, so if you can't sleep one night you can just escape to there." Ryan looked over at her with a warm smile, already looking forward to the time they'll be spending together here.
