Suzie: If Tisha wasn't a Queen, these Studio 60 people wouldn't be so butt hurt over her leaving the label. Suing her? Butthurt people, very butthurt and upset that they lost her.

Nevaeh: Shame that a few years ago nothing like this would have ever happened at Tric Jam. Any who, Alot of comments made by the supposed hierarchy of Studio60/TricJam was very unprofessional and quite disrespectful if you will, even if it was taken out of context. You are suppose to work with your artists, not publically bash them. So if Anniken or any one else stands by the words being thrown to Tisha, You should re-evaluate your credentials as one of the key people from a label I use to own.

Kai: I'm pretty sure "be feminist all up an down your ass" is a threat of anal rape. Hairy as well. However, don't quote me on that. I liked when she kept saying she was showing her "breast". What the fuck was the other one up to? Weird. Anyway, I had a great laugh reading that. Really set up my morning. Then I had a wank, coffee and a cig and I was good to go. Start more days like this.

Anniken : I'm sorry , maybe I'm not aware of the rights I lose when working on a label but when someone calls me a bitch , a slave ... just basically anything out of my name , I am entitled to say something back . I do admit some of the things I said were very unprofessional but I am not apologizing for it and I do not believe my career should be in jeopardy because of it . I did not "publically bash" her career . Just simply corrected the fact of which I DO NOT work for her . Was she not being overtly disrespectful towards my career ? What needs to be re-evaluated right now is the mindset that I am fully in the wrong . I simply stuck up for myself . Could you imagine someone on your label claimed you were their slave ? I'm guessing you're just saying all of this because your planning to sign Tisha on your label , so you know , gotta get on her good side , I understand , it's politics , but if you were in my shoes I doubt you'd be saying any of this . I do apologize if that came off as " strikingly unprofessional " . I was laughing about the whole situation , but implying that if someone says such things to me , I'm supposed to just sit there and listen or this is all my fault really grinds my gears .

Erica: I see nothing wrong with saying you are feminist and showing off your body. Sexuality on your own terms is something to be proud of. Am I more of a woman because I don't dress as skimpy as nina? I don't constantly have my boobs out, like nina? No. That is who she is. She does it for her. Feminist shouldn't have to mean frumpy sweaters and leggings. It should mean taking charge of being a woman. Regardless of what is worn. I personally consider strippers to be very high in the feminist....pole. *giggles* who is REALLY being exploited in that situation?

Anniken : LOL . I understand what you're saying , but it had nothing to do with her being comfortable with her sexuality . Kudos to her if she is , it was just the fact that she was basically making a sex symbol of herself while trying to claim she was a feminist . I'm sure to uplift other women you have to have self respect for yourself first .

Amy-Jayne: to be honest I have to agree with Miss Smith on this one if your a feminist you don't flaunt your body that not what a true feminist does, but also Tisha is still lovely no one can take that from her.

OOC - I can't believe I missed the drama last night I saw it this morning seemed quite exciting :D

Kai: Who would win in a fight between Anniken and Tisha? No lightsabers allowed, young Jedi! No. This is to be a feminist fight. I'll come up with the rules. How about.....first one to grow their leg hair long enough they can knit a pair of socks with it? Seems feminist enough.

Nevaeh: Thats where you fail Anniken. As a business woman you cannot let personal feelings get in the way of business! Especially if you are part of a label! Because to be quite frank, you caused this whole thing. If you would have kept your words to yourself instead of trying to make Tisha look stupid to everyone, this wouldn't have happened. I understand you were offended by her words and I know she was offended by yours but you do not know exactly how unprofessional YOU look as part of a labels key people to go tit for tat with one of your artists...well former artists. You could have easily handled the situation by speaking with Tisha on your own time. You are suppose to build your artists, not degrade them pubically, and that's exactly what you did. I'M speaking not because I need to get on anyone's side, but because you are clearly in the wrong. It wouldn't be as bad of you were a random commenting, but one of her "bosses"? You made Studio60/Tric Jams artist repertoire look seriously weak.

Lilly Stuart: I must say that everything was really overdramatic! From both sides, first Tisha, who's being quite a successful artist for the last years, she really shouldn't have answered Ms. Smith back, because her comment was irrelevant, Tisha is a strong woman she should have let it go without starting a useless feud with Ms. Smith. In other hand we have Ms. Smith who's totally in her right to express her opinions since she's an opinion former, but she could’ve avoided that particular comment once Tisha was hired on her own record label. But in the end if it were not Ms. Smith, there would be other person commenting on what artists say or releases, that's just how this game is played, when you’re in this industry you have to accept criticism and sometimes ignore what you think it's not worth for you. Now there will have a long court fight for something that should be avoided, both parts loose! But that's just maybe what Hollywood is made off, egos and money!

Gia: Apparently people can't read. Ahem, I clearly said half of this last night to Tisha. I advise people to go do their homework before speaking on a situation they weren't even present in. I clearly was not taking aides, I said both sides were unprofessional and both needed to apologize. Quit trying to downgrade Studio60 because you aren't on there or don't work there anymore. Just because Tisha is a friend to the few trying to budge their way in this situation soes not mean I need to kiss her ass. She acted as if we were supposed to be at her beck and call which is not the case. Please, stay out of it or at least get the facts correct. Studio60 and Tric-Jam do not need artists like her to prolong growth of the company. I'm advising all employees at Studio60/Tric-Jam to refrain from anymore comments on the matter or there will be serious reprecussions.

Nadia Berry and Mark Talley Split!
UserPostedImageUserPostedImage

It looks to be a lonely Christmas for pop sensation Nadia Berry and indie rocker Mark Talley, as Culture Uncut can exclusively reveal the pair have split after just a little over two months of dating. The news comes as a surprise, as things seemed to be going well for the pair. Nadia happily gushed about her boyfriend in an intimate UStream chat with fans recently, and it wasn't too long ago when they were both pleased to announce their relationship on their pages.

"Nadia and Mark had both experienced a break-up around the time they got together, and I believe they began dating more for the idea of stability. Breaking up is hard, and I think they just wanted to belong to someone instead of going into a new relationship with real passion and genuine feelings for one another," said one celebrity relationship blogger.

A source close to the pair stated, "The two remain friends and it was a mutual decision to bring it to an end, they both really weren't ready for a relationship and they're far too busy with their careers right now. Nadia's got a new album out in just over a month, whilst Mark is currently on a farewell tour for Blood of Wecz and is preparing his own album, it just wasn't good timing."

Another day, another failed romance in the celebrity world. Will Nadia or Mark ever find the one?

Mark: Well, Classic Culture Uncut all over that. Most of this story is just pure conjecture. The first sentence is true, and then a lot of the rest of it - not all of it but a lot of it - is just guesswork and lies. Thank you for your time.

'Diary Of An Escort' Set For 2014 Return

UserPostedImage
(Above: Riley Hamilton in newly released promo picture)

The raunchy hit television show, Diary Of An Escort will be making a welcome return to our TV screens next year. Bosses at ITV, producer Steve Aiken and Riley Hamilton have all confirmed that the controversial show will pick up from where it left off almost a year ago after being taken off air due to numerous disputes between the writer of 'The Diary Of A Male Escort' (the novel which the series is based upon) and the creators of the television series. Richard Coia, the author of the original novel, stated that ITV were not representing the story in the right way and felt as if the writers were glamourising and sugar coating a lot of issues in the book which were intended to be taken seriously. Coia wanted the show to either be pulled or postponed, the latter also involving the sacking of the initial writers. When both parties failed to co-operate, a lawsuit was filed and 'D.O.A.E' was taken off air after only three episodes, all of which were very successful in viewing figures and received general critical acclaim.

Richard Coia wrote:
"I was very careful when choosing a television network to pick up the show. After the novel was released in 2010, dozens of networks approached me and they were all interested into making 'Diary...' into a television series. It hadn't even crossed my mind when writing the book and when I heard all of the offers, I was sort of on the fence about the whole idea. Eventually, I attended numerous meetings with different networks and creative teams - the final one being with ITV. They seemed to be on the same page as me and were the only ones that made any sort of impression whatsoever. A few months after forming our partnership, I was sent the scripts of the entire first series and I was impressed. Everything they were doing at that point was top notch and the only thing I was concerned about was the casting of Riley Hamilton. Being a typical pop singer with no acting background, I felt as if he wouldn't be up to standard but fortunately, he played the role perfectly and I do think he is one of the best actors this country has to offer. However, that was the last bright idea ITV had. The 'final cuts' of the episodes that they had sent to me were not the ones that aired. They were changing too many things without my permission and basically destroying my characters. A lot of storylines that were intended to be darker were suddenly riddled with comedic elements and a boatload of guest stars also thrown in to 'spice things up'. It didn't matter if they could pull off their role with justice, all that mattered was that they were a big name and looked good. My story became lost in it all."

After months of disputes between both Coia and ITV, both parties finally reached an agreement which resulted in both the lawsuit being dropped and the long awaited return of 'Diary Of An Escort'. The first three episodes will air again in January before the highly anticipated fourth installment hits our screens. The original fourth episode had to be altered and parts of it were also shot again last month in order to create a final product that was suitable for both Coia and ITV. All original cast members are returning to the show and have even signed up for a second series which is rumoured to start only a few weeks after the finale of series one.

Despite feuds over the quality of the show, the first three episodes of 'D.O.A.E' received overwhelmingly positive feedback and raked in millions of viewers each fortnight, becoming ITV2's most successful show ever. Although masses of teenage girls tuning in just to catch a glimpse of Hamilton's bare bottom have helped the viewing figures, it is still a quality series with impeccable acting and flawless writing (well, we seem to think so anyway). The star of the show, Riley Hamilton, was hounded by critics when it was announced that he would be playing the main role of 'Patrick/Valentine' as the youngster was inexperienced and part of a boy band. Nonetheless, he silenced them all when the first episode aired and not long afterwards, Hamilton was being offered roles left, right and centre. The sex-crazed, kinky, bisexual, foul mouthed, upper-class Patrick couldn't be further away from the sweet, kindhearted, caring, mild mannered vegan from Leeds we know as Riley Hamilton if he tried. It makes us wonder what else is in store for the character and more importantly, what Riley's wife Michelle thinks of all the lovemaking scenes and nudity.

Riley Hamilton wrote:
"I'm so happy that 'Diary...' is back. There was a long period of time where the cast didn't know if it would be returning, we weren't kept in the loop and had no idea where everything stood but thankfully we're moving forward now. A lot of the original story has changed and we've had to shoot new scenes for episodes and even film whole new ones as some episodes have been scrapped entirely. Nothing major has really changed, the BIG stories have remained practically untouched but there are a few things here and there that have been altered and there's a few new scenes which are a bit.....um....naughty, to say the least [laughs]. I can't give much away but I will say that there are a lot of 'edge of your seat' moments and there's been quite a few scenes incorporated into the series which show an extremely dark side to life as an escort."

.....

"A lot of people ask about how Michelle reacts to the 'mature' nature to the show and honestly, she loves the show. I'm the one that gets embarrassed and goes red whenever a love scene takes place. She used to sit and watch it with big bowls of snacks, really interested in it and I'm sure she'll do the same when it returns in January. Michelle knows it's just acting and she knows I wouldn't do anything too risque. Although it's a show aimed at adults, it's still respectable and everything is done tastefully so I don't really find myself in situations where I feel uncomfortable because I might be showing too much. One thing we all agreed on was no full frontal nudity so I can maintain some dignity [laughs]. In one episode, I may be dressed as a police officer, straddling a middle-aged man whilst forcing him to make horse noises but there's no full frontal shots so I'll still have some of my dignity in tact! Honestly, it's a lot of fun to make. The cast and crew are lovely, I've enjoyed working with them all again and I can't wait for everyone to see it.

Diary Of An Escort returns to our screens in the new year and promises to deliver dramatic stories, lots of twists, more of Riley's lovely backside and a multitude of great quotes. It may only be a month away but we cannot wait to see what happens between Patrick and Emma. Will he ever get caught out!?

Kai Rollins: That photo is the most bent thing I have ever seen. Is it a gay series this time then?

"My God! We truly are a talented bunch. The fact that we write entire albums all on our own while the biggest stars in the world have 45 co-writers on ONE track?? Where the hell are OUR record deals and GRAMMYS?" -BrownSugar

TISHA JACKSON MAKES UNPRECIDENTED MOVE

UserPostedImage

Is Pop Princess, Tisha Jackson a boss or not? Innovative? Independent? Creative? All characteristics displayed by the superstar as of last night. The star has made an unprecedented move to a new label in a matter of twenty four hours after releasing herself from her contract with her previous label, Studio 60. This is a first in the history of music.

It all started last night, when Rolling Stone released their January 2014 issue which Jackson was the cover-story of. In the article Jackson was quoted hinting at retirement, saying, “I may retire after this record”. However, that isn’t where the drama unfolded. Jackson was later quoted saying, “I am a feminist, but most important, I am a militant.” That rubbed the head of the Sales and Promotion department of her then label, Studio 60, Anniken Dahl Smith the wrong way. Smith was quoted questioning Jackson’s authenticity of the quote stating, “I definitely understood every part of this interview . Especially the part where you said you were a feminist whilst bending over , half naked and giving the whole world a nice view of your cleavage . Yes sweetie , that's exactly what feminism stands for.” That didn’t sit well with Jackson, as she snapped back, "B**ch I will be a feminist all up and down your ass. What are your credentials b**ch? I'll wait...”

This started a firestorm of the series of digs these two ladies took at each other. All until Jackson challenged her label. Writing them a letter demanding they force Smith to publicly apologize to her or have her fired and replaced.

"I have NEVER in my life been disrespected by anyone at any label I have been signed with, as much as I have with Anniken Dahl-Smith, whom is the head of Sales Department and Promotions here at Studio 60/Tric-Jam. I recently sat down with Rolling Stone, where I was asked about being a modern day feminist, and this woman questions my authenticity of being a feminist BECAUSE I AM SECURE and COMFORTABLE enough to show my body in a photo (specifically) my breast. I LOVE MY body, and will show it whenever I feel like it, and will not be disrespected by someone WHO WORKS FOR ME and the company I am signed to, and bring quite a lot of revenue to. She verbally attacked me so I snapped back.

MY POINT that I am making is that I refuse to be signed to a label that staff tries to diminish an artist credibility, brand, and most importantly, music. How dare she say that it is because of her AND NOT MY TALENT, that my album has been commercially successful? Who the fuck is she?? What I am getting at, is you heads at the label make Anniken Dahl-Smith give me a public apology for disrespecting words that I MEANT, disrespecting my music, my creativity, and disrespecting me. Either that or have her FIRED and REPLACED if she opts not to apologize publicly to me and sincerely at that. Either that or I will announce my resignation from Studio 60 and continue ALL production on my current album [The Highway to Redemption] through my own label [Hit Factory Productions] and sign a distribution deal with another label. As seen you cannot drop me as I haven't fulfilled my contract. However, I can and will quit if these needs are not fulfilled as I AM NOT A SLAVE."

-Tisha Jackson

The head of Jackson’s then label , Gia Rose-Hilton replied to the now infamous “The Challenge” by saying that “both parties were wrong” and she would “not choose a side”, she even warned Jackson, “not to test her”, claiming Jackson “believes the world revolves” around her. Hilton’s attitude changed when she tweeted “I do ask that Anniken apologize for her comments and not let this happen again. How she chooses that though is her own choice. I don’t remember being anyone’s slave.”

Editors note: (Perhaps the change of attitude might be because Jackson brought in most of the revenue to the label, as she is top billing, and the greatest selling artist of her generation.) Just a thought. However Jackson did not budge, Retweeting Hilton giving her and the label the axe.
Jackson replied simply “No thanks! I QUIT.” This was followed by her official letter of resignation posted via her website [tishajackson.com]

Aside of the melodramatics, it would be false and unfair not to call Jackson’s actions unprecedented and ballsy. It shows how far we’ve come as a society and also how far of a road we have a head. To be a woman in 2014, leaving the label that paid you an unprecedented amount to sign with them, is ballsy. To walk out of your contract without one legal scratch, and sign to another label in a matter of twenty four hours while in the middle of production, promoting, and touring, your latest release is unprecedented. This is due Jackson owning all rights to all of her music ever released, through her own production company, Hit Factory Productions. No artist has done that. Many are calling Jackson a hero. Sure she’s got a few screws loose, and may think that the sun rises on her ass, but no one has done this before.

With FREEDOM officially launching, and Jackson as one of its premiere artist, it is clear that this is an exciting time for her, and brings more clarity to the era in which is ‘The Highway to Redemption’. Jackson officially announced on December 24, 2013 that she signed a distribution deal with FREEDOM records, in which they will distribute her current record, ‘The Highway to Redemption’ as well as all her future recordings. Jackson has paved the way and has officially made her mark in history, all in one night.

Adam Benjamin: Mrrrroooooowww! ... mega lolz, I don't think Tinchy Jackson knows the definition of a slave. Yeah, sounds rough, that million dollar lifestyle of a slave. Bummer! I hope things pick up for ya though, poor little flower! But hey, at least she hasn't got a stereotypical diva attitude though ... right? Anxious
