Okay, so I'm quite suprised actually that no ones mentioned them yet, so here we are :)

What are your opinions on Video games? Are they life absorbing tools of the devil that are ruining the younger generations? Or are they just a bit of harmless fun? Or maybe their for geeks only and the cool people can't be seen enjoying them?

In my opinion, video games are just harmless fun. However, I do play them far to much. Most of this holiday has been on my Xbox, on my laptop or both, or sunbathing whilst on my laptop, or in my bed playing video games, or being on my laptop whilst playing video games and being on my laptop etc etc you get the picture. Also, I play a lot of 18 rated games. GTA 4 to name one and I enjoy playing Manhunt 2 whilst round my mates. So in age ratings respects I suppose I dont really give a damn about that. I mean my parents aren't idiots, they know im not a rampaging mass murdering phsycopath so they let me play them.
Also, people who go and say oh GTA made me do it, is utter bullshit. You gotta be pretty messed up to do it in the first place. GTA may give you 'tips', but only as far as saying if you shoot someone they die, which is fucking obvious. Plus, GTA is no worse than the majority of TV programmes on, even before watershed. You watch an eastenders episode back in the good ol' days and there were gangsters and murderers. Now there's Dawn shagging Phil whilst being engaged to Gary. Yay.
But anyway, yeah, what are your opinions on video games as a whole?

Btw, is anyone else looking forward to Splinter Cell Conviction? I AM. So very much.

I'm a Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider whore.

I love video games but can hardly find the time to sit down and spend a few hours of solid gaming...usually I am just playing the Total War series with any number of the awesome fan modifications that extend the appeal.

To Forkboy, I'm rooting for Fifa, as always. Apparently the transfer markets been revamped which I'm really excited about.

Also, has anyone got both Fight Night Round 4 and Call of Juarez Bound In Blood? I want to know which one to get =/

It's dull after a while

I still play Metal Gear Solid, the first two Fallout games and some of my old playstation rpgs every once in a while. Apart from those I'm not really into video games. I can think of a hundred better ways to spend my time off, to be honest.

What I dont get is why girls seem to not like them(not all girls), but when you ask a girl if she likes video games 90% of the time she will say no.

That happens with younger girls, on their 12, 13 years old, because they want to sound "mature" and video games "are for children".
I was never ashamed to admit though, I've always liked "boy's stuff" :P

And Tetris I'm sure.

Me, I play video games a lot, at the moment I'm largely focussed on the PC. My Wii has been sitting largely unused for the past year or so, complete lack of interesting games recently. On the PC, I'm mostly playing Team Fortress 2, still. It's strange, I have a bad game about as often as I have a good game of TF2, but I keep coming back for more. I'm largely a Pyro/Medic, but as good as I am as medic, I resent the position now because of idiots not using my ubers, or because the round starts with 3 medics, and when those medics die they change class and I end up being the go-to medic... So I'm trying to learn my way around Soldier. My great weakness is reloading.

Outside of TF2, I generally end up getting a lot of cheap stuff off Steam. Recently enjoyed PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies, the first episode of Tales of Monkey Island, Left 4 Dead, bit of Audiosurf to pass the time.
