Early LifeAdam Black was born in 1989 in Detroit Michigan, he is the eldest of 3 siblings he has an a younger brother Eylar (21) and a now deceased younger sister Emerald his family had a very tough upbringing his family was very poor and him being the eldest had to help support his other family members, when he was 10 years old he was diagnosed with a rare heart condition and has almost died on several different occasions he has since had an operation to correct his heart condition, after his mum left his dad and moved out Adam was also pushed out at 18 due to the fact that his dad didn't like the fact that Adam was gay and his was a disgrace to the family, Adam then had to find a place to stay for the first few years he went from hotel to hotel until he was a out 20 then he moved in with one of his friends whom he later had a relationship with, he stayed at his friends house for a further two years before moving into his own house were he lives now, Adam has three house two in America and one in London.
CareerAdam started his professional career in 2010 when he was cast as a detective in a channel 5 crime series called 'Help Detective' the show ran for the next two year and the final episode aired on September 8th 2012, during his time on the show he came out as being gay which shocked many, due to him acting as if he was straight also during this time he had many over television roles mostly one off appearances and voice over roles, some of voice over roles included the voice of one of the rabbit in Alice In Wounderland which he was praised highly for after 'Help detective' ended Adam was cast in yet another tv series this time he played a gay barman in comedy show 'Give Us A Laugh' this role he was once again praised for, after being on the show for two months he decided leave, it was also around this time when his sister Emerald died which is suspected as to why he left, after his sisters death Adam disappeared from television and has yet to return instead he has turn to a music career.
He released his first single 'Politically Correct' in October 2013 which was a tribute to his sister who originally made the song famous, the song failed to make an impact only managing to reach a peak of #18 in the downloads chart and failed to enter the top 20 in the airplay chart, it was suspected that the reason for it's failure was due to the bad press surrounding Adam at the time between him and Weekend member Dustyn Blue, he then thought about retiring from the public altogether even though he had other songs recorded but in December 2013 Adam was contacted by Neavah Martinez as she asked him weather he would like to sign a contact with her new record label FREEDOM.
Adam accepted her offer with a new label to call his home he quickly released a new single in January 2014 called 'Give Me It' the song was well praised and also made an impact in the chart managing to land in the top 10 in it's opening week debuting at #10 in the downloads chart selling 201K and also debuted at #9 in the airplay charts making this song a success for both Adam and FREEDOM the following week the song moved up to #6 on the downloads chart selling 250K thus furthering it's success, a few days later he revealed his EP called 'Chemical Reaction' and the EP began streaming it has since once again been well praised for its production and for Adam's vocal ability, the EP was released on the 9th of January 2014 in its opening week the EP sold 160K and charted at #4 on the Heat Chart Albums thus making the EP A success.
Adam's third single 'Beautiful was released in March 2014, it mades it's debut at #8 in the downloads chart selling 160K in the opening week it found even greater success on the airplay chart were it entered in its opening week at #4, in it's second week 'Beautiful' moved to a new peak of #4 on the downloads chart and moved to #2 on the airplay chart becoming Adam's biggest hit so far, Adam is set to release his forth single 'When He's Gone' ,at the end of May the song will folilow on from previous single 'Beautiful' as the second single from his upcoming debut album 'When He's Gone' made it debut at #11 in it's opening week on the charts selling 220K, in it's second week it climbed to a new peak of #7 selling 180K, Adam is set to release his new single 'Touchdown' was released on November 30th and on December 7th it charted at #5 on the digital chart selling 245K in its first week'
After promsing a full length album was in the works Adam remaind quiet for the first half of 2015, but eventually his debut full length album "Memories" was released in May 2015 to good reviews, the album was a commercial success reaching #2 in the golden 15 album chart and sold 400K copies in just under a month. Following the release of his album Adam released the fan favourite "Here With Me" off the album.
In 2016 rumours began circulating that Adam Black would be making a return to music, this rumoured to be true as on June 2nd Adam released "Freak You Beat", the first single to be rumoured to be off an upcoming project.
