Well Here we go again with Kidd Amaze. He has been dropping "When do you guys want the new single?" out on twitter for the past 3 weeks now and he finally release it. So what is Iron Fist about, well one long verse, no catchy hook, over a techno beat and really isn't nothing but good old fashion wordplay and puns. When I first heard it I was a little surprise by the beat then by the fast rapping style. It seems weird that somebody that can do songs like "Hate That I Love You," and "Coke Boy," Comes out lyrical in a nerdy way. Why is this called Iron Fist, because it is in reference to King of the Iron Fist Tekken, and their is a LOT of video game reference here. So much so that I had to look at Rap-Genius just to get where the hell did he get that from. Don't worry if you don't get the video game side of it because the words can be taken to real life as well as their virtual counterparts. For Example:

Definition of asteroids are minor planets floating in outer space, so yea it's best to not get suck in by their gravity. Also for that older generation it was a old video game where you were a ship shooting at the large rocks and not getting hit. Just line after line of this stuff and it is clear that your going to miss something and though it is not really my cup of tea, it goes by quick just two minutes and thirty four seconds and then it's gone. It is different, not the hardcore gangsta rap we have seen lately but not the romantic or "You shouldn't have doubt me" stuff that he has done in the past. And like the tittle of album he tends to be all over the place with his style and direction. Not every line is a killer, not every punchline is good with this sure it starts off strong but then dies as it gets to the end. I hope he doesn't decide to do a song like this but with anime/cartoon references.

Chloe: This goes hard, good stuff Kidd. Different from the typical songs you hear. It's just straight up bars and that's what I really like about it. Not taking the mainstream approach huh? ;) good stuff.

Carmen: Yay, Mr. Amaze! Carmen loveeeeeeeees listening to your music! That person in that cover picture looks very angry, but you're not angry, Mr. Amaze, so it was kind of scary, but Carmen got over that pretty quickly because she loveeeeeeeeeees your music. And she likes video games, so this song is pretty perfect for her to listen to. And now Carmen looks hardcore because she listens to rap, right? Right? Hardcore Carmen?
