From the Album: Crowns Blood Diamond is the first single taken from Welsh hardcore quintet Smash Up's 6th album Crowns [Apr 2014]. The song premiered on March 6th 2014 and is available for download from March 10th 2014. It is the first piece of recorded music released by the band for 4 years. The song is also the first to feature new members James Holloway (drums) and Chris Davies (guitar).
The song is the opening track to the bands sixth studio album, Crowns, which is set for release on April 21st 2014, it was produced by Dan Servente from the band. Music and lyrics were written by Dan Servente, Ollie Williams and Chris Davies.
The band have taken a more hardcore approach to writing their music and have gone for a very aggressive vibe which their last two albums haven't seen so much of however the quality of song writing and musicianship is ever present, a refreshed and crisp sound has written off any questions about the integrity of the band from the minority asking questions.
Vocalist Dan Servente said:
It's taken us a good while to decide which single to release first. We thought we'd go with this because it will give you all a good idea of what this album is about and also remind you what this band is about, we've been together 10 years this year and we'll never change how we feel or what we do. This is Smash Up, a new era starts today and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we have already.Lyrics:You buy into what they say

OOC: I think you did a really nice job, especially for somebody who says that they're not good at writing lyrics. I really loved your lyrics, and the song as a whole. Great first single for a new album.
