Network : MTV Length : 90 minutes OOC : NOT THE CURRENT CHARTS Kidd comes out on stage with a single spotlight shining on the microphone stand. He walks out towards it and sings a new intro to the song “Knock Me Down” (Sings) Why can’t you accept me for me? Tell me just who I got to be? Cause you can’t find it in yourself to put your faith in me Why can’t you put your trust in me? What can’t I do to make you see? Cause I’m not going to change, I going to be the same We both know that you don’t want to get hurt And we both know that I would try to make this work Finally got this shit off, you worry about what might Telling you we about to take off, but you keep stressing through the night I don’t want that, I don’t want to be around negativity Then we start arguing; now you want to make this your enemy? Damn, I leave saying that I’m not going to come back I just wasn’t ready, that when you pull it out and attack. (Gunshot) After the gunshots the music to the song starts playing. The audience roars , a mix of cheers for Kidd's performance and the two's sudden entrance . Anniken and Charles waves to the full house and waits for noise to die down a little . "Let's hear it for Kidd Amaze !" Aniken says , bringing a mic up to her mouth . The cheers fires right back , this time including screams from most likely every girl in the room . She laughs and claps for him herself and Charles Robinson follows along . "Welcome to the first ever Golden 15 Countdown ... get this , LIVE !" Anniken gets the crowd even more hyped up . "What you just experienced was our first chart topper , Kidd Amaze , opening with a track from his album , Kidd At The Adult Table !" She once again waits for the audience to settle down so she can be heard more clearly through the microphone . "I am your host Anniken Dahl-Smith and if you were happening to wonder who my hot date is tonight -- not literally ," She looks over Charles . "In so many ways ..." Charles chuckles and speaks into his microphone , chuckling . "So hasty ." He says , shaking his head . The crowd laughs at the two . "I have to be ! Still on thin ice for that SPOTTED picture with that kiss . Didn't even mean to go all Katy Perry on everyone ." Anniken laughs herself . "Ladies and gentleman , if you ever wondered who was the man behind the charts , a very close friend of mine and genius -- because of the simple fact he hired me -- here is your very own , Charles Robinson . The crowd claps for him with a lot of "woos" in the mix . He does yet another wave to the audience . "Thank you so much ! I want to say , I am really loving the progress of The Golden 15 so far . It is making me the happiest man in the world !" Anniken smiles and claps for him . "Tonight , we have one heck of a show packed in for you ! Our charts for APRIL 4TH , 2014 are being counted down , right here , right now , with a track from every album that charted and of course a fabulous introduction for everyone by me and yet another performance at the end of the show ! Get ready to jam out to some of our favorite tracks from the 15 best selling albums of the week !" As the crowd goes crazy , Anniken takes Charles' arm into her own . "Shall we ?" She asks . I love these girls with all my heart and I am so proud of them as a manager and a mother . Being the first Hip Hop album to top an all-genre chart and praised in many reviews like Rolling Stone's as one of the most original mainstream projects created in a while , especially in Hip Hop , Rum & Coke has really set the bar with their second studio album , Epiphany . It has been on the charts for a good 5 months now and is steadily increasing in sales as it's follow up E.P , Aftermath , takes over our charts along with many other E.P's . Her music has a strange layer of gloomy promiscuity attached to them , mixed with a cheap bottle of Bourbon , which is weird ... I guess that means she's just known for being weird and everyone knows weird people makes the best music . One of the biggest Indie Folk albums we've yet to see in 2014 , Grant's Mercury album shot straight up to #1 on all-genre charts and you can take it from me that the achievement was well deserved . I absolutely cannot explain to what degree I love Mercury and the track we are about to play from it . I suggest you just sit back and enjoy the beautifully written Ballad of the Wolf and the Scarecrow for the next 3 minutes and 46 seconds and let Carmen grant you life . Personally one of my favorites and I'll say very underrated because of the simple fact that , that #1 spot was supposed to be hers and hers only , with tracks like the one we're about to play and her cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah . But that's not even the best part ! Her whole album Stay Strong , Drift On is full of songs like the following , break up song and actual love songs that would even make you feel happy for her ! Since when ?! It has peaked #2 on previous all-genre charts and has really reached some heights we've yet to see any other Indie Rock and Indie Folk album reach . Anyway , I've been praying that mISTER_b released this next track as a single because I definitely see this topping every chart out here right now -- even though that's like 85 . Earlier in the day, she had been rehearsing and prepping, making sure continue her successful month of promotion for her newly released EP as well as getting ready for her album which would be coming out in the summer, a new single only a few weeks away. After getting news about her EP debuting number one, Izzy felt like she was on cloud nine. In fact, she felt as though her earlier months of frustration and sadness were finally disappearing and she was able to have fun again and focus on her music. After the brief introduction for the singer, she was shown onstage, about to perform her hit single, 'Release,' which was ultimately her second favorite song on the entire EP, behind 'Do What You Do'. It had a lot of raw emotion to it and some of her best vocals she's ever recorded. It seemed she was properly dressed for the song as well, almost drenched in all black with the exception of her blue bra which was visible through her tunic. Once the music started playing, she took a moment to get into her mood for the song, one that would tug on the strings of emotional and yet revitalizing. She starts off with the light drums in the back, she starts on her cue, her low voice being heard with the somber tempo playing. She's slowly swaying from side to side while the band is gradually creating the melody of the song. To the left (viewers right) of her, she has two back up singers to sing the lower parts as she sings the higher parts during the choruses. Even though there's very little movement and tricks, she's able to connect with the crowd and captivates with a nice performance. Bringing the tempo back up and creating a more faster pace, she goes into the second verse with just as much rawness as the first. During the live performances of the song, she notably sings in a higher note than on the track, probably due to the difficulty she finds singing it so low. Her voice, albeit from perfect, is able to more or less carry the same abilities from the record. In some parts, she switches to a light falsetto and then switches back to her lower register. It's perhaps the most vocally challenging as she is forced to sing constantly without rest, a crescendo of notes until she's singing higher. This is where the performance is more animated and you can definitely feel her real feelings peek through. As she goes to reach the high note, she again switches to falsetto, leaving the back up singers for the more vocally challenging part. I tried, so hard and all the time (I tried) To just carry on with my life (My life) But every time something brings me back Now I, release your hold on me (Now I) We've been all that we could be My senses tell me that you agree, yeah (Ye-eah) Under your spell, you do it well but now it's time for my release (Let me hear you!) She, unexpectedly, continues to repeat it as she performs, almost to test the limitations of herself in the song. When she finally stops singing, the band ends abruptly with her and she's greeted with a large amount of applause and cheers. She thanks the crowd, as she always did and she smiled at them. "That's it for the night but we aren't leaving just yet ! This week is the week more than a few albums get knocked off our charts .
