After watching Frozen and hearing the song [Let It Go] everywhere , the phrase "let it go" really spoke to me like I'm sure it did everyone else . I feel like I really loved the theme and lyrics of the original and Demi Lovato's version so much already but there was still so many things that could be said with such a phrase . So one day while flying to New York , I whipped out my pen and paper and began to write .

I was deeply inspired by many things that have taken place in my life , from a fire that burned away everything I had as a child to deaths in my family and to love that never lasted beyond grade school . I feel as if in this life , nothing is truly ever "meant to be" but that everything is meant to have an ending of some kind . As humans , we have no real "forever" ... it's just a figment of our imagination . That's because one day we will all die and be separated from the very ones we've promised our "forever" to . Then there are times where we depend and devote our lives to materialistic things . Whether it be our finances when money isn't made to be reserved , it's made to spent and in a lot of cases lost . Or maybe something like a house when physically , nothing is really indestructible because even something like stainless steel could be stained .

As humans , one thing we have a tendency to do with our feelings is to latch them onto something of this world that we have no control over . Then , the minute we realize that that something can never be ours "forever" , we lose all hope and faith in everything we love , assuming that one day love is ultimately going to hurt us or that a "higher power" doesn't love us enough to let us experience it . Thoughts like those could drive us to do crazy things to ourselves . I wanted to make a song dedicated to such . That talked about the reality of things and the pros and cons that come along with it .

"In a world full of odds , there'll be a normality ." In a world revolving around the media and entertainment , we're used to these stories that have happy endings . Where instead of what usually happens , the good of it all pops up and takes over . But sometimes bad things will happen . Sometimes they will spin as far away as it is able to from a happy ending and will end up being a loose end where pain just pours out . That doesn't mean it is the end of happy endings for you but a lot of people react in that way .

In time , the troubles you face will slip your mind ..." I've had a lot of bad days in my life and have had a lot of fears and enemies and fiends ... and I can probably only tell you one or two vague stories of some of my worst . We live in the moment and we hardly ever think about the future but there will come a day where you will forget the bane of the things weighing you down now and even if not , there will come a day where it will be hard for you to remember the pain . I think this is an important thing to say especially to victims of bullying . I know it has nothing to do with the song but I was picked on a lot as a child because even I looked ... weird and I can't name not one of those kids who I used to devote my time to avoiding in the hallways , cafeterias and classrooms .

"At least you're still breathing ." Sometimes , that's all you need .
