Johnny Johnson: Its gonna be great. We are thinking of recording a live dvd too go with the special edition but if so, it will have to be released after the regular editions release date of September 1st. So, should be cool.

The Rockers Slight Update

So tomorrow is the day that the regular release of "Black" comes out, and The Rockers are going to play a now sold out show in New York city which will be recorded and released with the special edition of "Black" which will be released at a later date. Johnny Johnson has also announced that after the album is released and the show is done, he wants to take a break from the entertainment industry and live life a little. More news on that to come.

The Rockers "Black" opened at number 36 on the charts today, the band is pleased with the result over all and cant wait to see where it goes.

OOC: Perhaps you could flesh this post out a little bit, maybe something about what the band did to celebrate or how they feel about the achievement. It'll give people more to reply to and encourage others to post on this thread which is good everyone involved :)

OOC: I also think it would add a little bit if you gave more info on the album, such as tracks, favorite songs and such, but thats mainly me being picky.

"Hey guys, its been 11 months since Black came out and we are glad to say that the album surpassed our ecpectations and sold over 1 million copies, and are happy to say that the band is ready to start the writing process again and will be writing new stuff over the next 2 or 3 months and will step into the studio around November 15th, or so and cant wait to see what the band can come up with. We want to thank you all for supporting the band and buying the album and coming to the shows, cause we had a lot of fun doing it.

If things work out the new album will have a more upbeat feel compared to Acid Rain and Black. It should be more like Bridge to Nowhere or Rock, which is great cause its always fun to go back to our roots and play that classic sound. Randy has been working on some new guitar stuff and is doing a wonderful job of replacing Robert and I have to applaud Joey for coming through his addiction and sticking around.

My heart attack was a big deal eh? Weird how that all came about, I had been living unhealthy for a while but honestly had never thought something like that would happen. I have been working on improving my health and working on getting back to a steady point where I can tour again and keep singing. My voice is fine which is a miracle because some times, the voice is weakened by the strain but I feel that it gave it a new range and I can get lower and higher notes out of it now. Anyway, before I start babbling I just want to say thanks to you all.

Well today we recorded a solo that we just recorded that may or may not make it onto the album but either way I figured you would want to hear it after these four weeks of anticipation! Give a hand to Randy Wilde on the guitar work!
