Released: June 29th, 2014Format: Digital downloadRecorded: 2014Genre: EDM, electropopLength: 3:47Writer(s): Max Martin, Anton Zaslavski, Katriel Comyns, Savan Kotecha, Deneil KhanProducer(s): Max MartinSong Description & Background"Body Rock" is a song by Pop singer Kato featuring Deneil Khan, from his second studio album. Max Martin, Anton Zaslavski, Katriel Comyns and Savan Kotecha wrote the song, with additional lyrics written by Deneil. The collaboration came to be after Kato approached Deneil about doing a song together for his second album, and Deneil accepted. They worked together, coming up with lyrics and Kato adding some of his personal touches to the production. He worked with well-known producer, Max Martin, who has worked with artists such as Britney Spears, N'SYNC, Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, and more. Kato is heading into a new direction for his second album, working on a sound to call his own and also to infuse some of his Pop and R&B talents together. Not much is known of the album except the first single, 'Body Rock,' might be a sign of more interesting tunes to come.
The track starts off with siren like synthesizers which seem to fade in and out to the growing EDM beat in the background. Lyrically, the song focuses on Kato trying to pursue a girl. When asked about the collaboration, Kato said, "I really enjoy Deneil's work. He's one of the young artists who I admire for being able to be so talented and keep their head, it's a great thing. I also wanted him on the track because I felt like I hadn't collaborated with a male rapper of his kind. I hope to work with him some more in the future, amazing person." The track has a very house influence through the beat breaks of the song which also have a little bit of saxophones as well. Instrumentally, it is marked by a heavy drum machine and "rushing" synthesizers. The song also contains elements of R&B while critics have described it as a 'frantic dance track with fast paced drum beats and an acid house break down.' Let it go, I wanna see you let it go (eh, eh, eh) We both know, you wanna let me take control (eh, eh, eh)
I'll take you places that you've never seen before I'll make you forget what it is you're crying for The world is ours so let me take you on a tour Don't need to worry, don't need to worry
Girl I... believe When I get you next to me You won't ever wanna leave Girl I... can't stop Watching the way your body rocks Cus you are all that I want You're...

Let me know, if you're feeling this then let me know (eh, eh, eh) Left behind, with me you'll never be left behind (eh, eh, eh) Ohhh
I'll take you places that you've never seen before I'll make you forget what it is you're crying for The world is ours so let me take you on a tour Don't need to worry, don't need to worry
Girl I... believe When I get you next to me You won't ever wanna leave Girl I... can't stop Watching the way your body rocks Cus you are all that I want
[Rap: Deneil] Walk out the door and a thousand girls all fall at my feet, they got a taste for celebrity They must be hooked on my scent, man that shit is crazy But I don't just fall for anybody and I don't care if she's got that rocking hot body I've tried to get by on my own, a lone wolf, majestic, impressive, you can't touch this But then you walked in and that plan was over You start fucking with me head as you come even closer They way you're rocking that body, got a weird effect on me, man I hold my hands up I surrender why don't you come and take me down? We can rock body to body, have our own private party, kick off those Louboutins, close the door Let's get it started
Girl I... (I believe when you're here) believe When I get you next to me You won't ever wanna leave Girl I...(I just cannot stop) can't stop Watching the way your body rocks Cus you are all that I want You're...

The fact that we write entire albums all on our own while the biggest stars in the world have 45 co-writers on ONE track?? Where the hell are OUR record deals and GRAMMYS?" -BrownSugar |
