Ten is the first song on the album that is not sung through Vara/Alice's point of view. This time, it is sung through the point of view of the Cheshire Cat, who is much more sinister and uninviting in Vara's version of Wonderland rather than in the book or cartoon. Throughout the song, the Cat taunts Vara as it moves around her, sometimes invisibly (as it has the power to completely disappear and reappear on command). "I am just over your shoulder, baby / You make me feel colder by turning away / Would you stop for a second, I'm asking you a question / About, "You know why I am this way...?" the Cat starts off the song, immediately beginning to taunt Vara and mess with her head, creepily telling her that it's right behind her when she obviously can't see it, or asking vague and upsetting questions. "I'm about to change your pretty mind / I'm about to change your pretty life," the Cat tells her, which of course, makes Vara terrified of this creature. She attempts to run from it, but the cat is part of Wonderland and it follows her, at least coming face-to-face with her, stopping her run. The Cat repeats the chrous, adding, "Are you ready? There's no stopping time." Another terrifying threat from the beast who at first seemed only quirky and weird... Or, at least as quirky and weird that a talking cat can get. The Cat's tone of voice changes, singing, "Because, because, because, because / You could be the reason I love, you could be the reason I love / You can be the reason I cry / You could, you could, you could, you cloud." Vara is, of course, confused by this new tone of voice. The Cat is now reaching out to her for help, wanting to be able to find someone to love, and find a reason to cry/feel any sort of emotion. Perhaps the cat has been devoid of emotion for so long thhat he seems scared and uncouth to anybody he speaks to. Vara considers this, but she doesn't want to fall into a trap set by this talking cat - if it is one - so she continues to try to get away from him. The Cat's voice returns to it's same frightening tone when Vara begins to run from him again as he repeats, "I'm about to change your pretty mind / I'm about to change your pretty life," and adding, "I can see the fear that's in your eyes / Are you ready? There's no stopping time." Vara is terrifed even more now by the Cat's sudden changes in disposition, and by him pointing out the fear that she has - if the Cat's intentions were to taunt her about her fear, or sympathize with her, she's unsure, but either way, it's still horrifying. The Cat finishes the song by singing, "You could be the reason I love / You could be the reason I cry / You could, you could, could be the reason why." This ending answers the question the the Cat asked Vara at the beginning of the song: "You know why I am this way...?"

Brandon: First off I want to say I'm definitely loving the artwork for this track but I'm gonna put that aside for now. This song is amazing really love the lyrics and meaning behind it fun fact Alice In The Wonderland is one of if not my favorite Disney movie ever really enjoyed the sound of the song the lyrics everything great job here Vara and great job with the artwork too...lol

I love Alice in Wonderland as well, it's been my favorite book since I could read. Fun fact: Alice in Wonderland was the first book I read in the English language. :) Go ahead and stare a little bit longer, hunny. It's fine. ;)

Alex Simms: Sometimes it's the simplistic approach that proves to have the biggest effect. Not gonna lie, when I read about how the song is sung by the point of view of a cat, I was highly puzzled. I think you're f*cking insane, but that's always a good thing ;) ... Anyhow, I chose to listen to the song just as it is and it's awesome both musically and lyrically. Plus the artwork is alright too!

Queen Alexis: I can't stand the type of artists like you but this song is passable I guess. The lyrics get you a pass here. Next time lets have real titles for your songs. The one one through 10 then was a bit annoying.
