Beats Electronics Team Up With Austin Nimmo To Release Limited Edition 'Fearless' BeatsByDre headphones!
17 Year old pop star puts the greenlight on his latest endorsement. This time with powerhouse consumer electronics company. Looks like Austin Nimmo is broadening his spectrum past music and is becoming a young mogul! We all know last year Austin teamed up with Mattel to launch the Austin Nimmo Toy Collection that has since grown to not only produce toys of the young star but has since manufactured bookbags, sandals, posters and some clothing. The toy collection has no signs of stopping after being renewed for 2015 as well, but we aren't here to talk about plastic. Today it has been announced by Founder Dr Dre and president Luke Wood that their next venture of headphones will be a joint with Austin Nimmo to release the 'Fearless' line of headphones in celebration for the pop stars debut album release which comes this Sunday! The headphones, sticking to it's Fearless' name are completely waterproof and will offer all the sleek and comfortable designs, useful features, and top-notch sound quality and will come with Austin's signature and assorted colors of light blue, yellow and black. All favorite colors of the teen icon. Plans for these headphones have been in the woodwords for a while now according to Luke Wood, and the manufactures have been having meetings with Austin Nimmo since Novemeber to come to an agreement on the product itself. The reason it was took so long? Austin was too busy it seems. Luke Wood even poked some harmless fun at Austin during the press conference held today and has already received some harsh backlash from the artists group of fans that call themselves Austies.
The press conference was held In Manhattan's SoHo district, principals with Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre and president Luke Wood, along with VP of Marketing Omar Johnson and chief designer Robert Brunner rolled out three new products but made the Fearless headphones front and center. Spending the most time speaking about the product.
After Luke spoke about the product itself and having Austin on board, he ended it off by making a joke about Austin being too busy with his "little crazy fans" to attend some of the meetings and even the press conference itself. He quickly laughed and sat down, letting it's founder Dre Dre walk on to talk. Dre had nothing but positive things to say. Since then however, his fans have been a bit vicious. People are saying its being blown completely out or proportion.
This isn't the first time Austin's fans have been devoted in defending him so it may come as no surprise. We all remember #Cut4Austin. But that's a whole nother story.
Although Austin is promoting the release of his new album that hits stores he plans on also promoting the headphones with a commercial featuring the headphones with recordings of his latest singles.
The headphones go on sale on Monday. Just a day after the release of Austin's debut album "Fearless" that hits stores this coming Sunday. The headphones can be viewed from the BeatsbyDre website where you can already make your orders by mail or they can be purchased at electronic stores the same day of release for a cheaper price. Once the sales go out off stock prices vary from ridiculous to absolutely insane depending on the headphone type. Sadly we know his "little crazy fans" will buy them as Larry would say.
