Chicago punk band The Experiment has entered N0where Studios in south suburban Will County and recorded their debut single with producer Mike Van Goren and engineer Tim Strike. The single, to be titled "Live Through This", is expected out within the next few weeks, and is expected to include a cover of the song "Glamorous Sky" by Japanese pop performer Mika Nakashima.

"We've been working on a few songs, and the local radio stations have really been pushing for the GT collective to record something for them to promote", says frontwoman Yumi Kazakawa. "It helps the local scene, and gets everybody some recognition"

Also appearing on the single are local musicians Bradley Ard, who added guitar on "Glamorous Sky" and the title track, and Chris Johnson, who added backing vocals to the second b-side, "Venus Envy".

Erica: The only thing I know about Chicago is that there's a big silver bean. I heard it has gangs, gangs suck. But you know what doesn't suck is local punk scenes so keep promoting it, supporting it, and keep punk alive.

Yumi: Hey! We also have the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bulls, and a shit-ton of water nearby! Don't make me beat you with my Les Paul!
Bradley: Woah, settle down, last time you did that, it turned out to be my guitar you broke over someone's head.
Yumi: I know, I know, get my temper under control.
Mike: Guys, if we don't get back to work, this single's never going to get released.
Rufus: Have you guys seen my sandwich?

Ryan: A punk spin on a J-pop song can go one of two ways; cringe yourself to sleep or genius. Either way, I might be in Chicago some day later this month, hopefully I can catch a show.
