Sam chuckles as well as they drive down the road. "Oh yeah? Have you been staying with some other lucky local man out here, and not telling me?" Sam asks, adding a little wink as they speed down the road.

"Well, good. You wouldn't want me to go and get jealous or anything like that," Sam says back jokingly as they neared the spot that he wanted to take her - the Oak Tree. He had shown it to her on her first day here, but he had grown really close to Evalyn lately, and he thought it was time to take her here for real. "Here we are," he says as he stops the bike in front of the tree, getting off the bike and helping Evalyn off as well.

"Yeah, somebody must," Sam says back, looking up at the tree and then back at Evalyn. "I really glad you're staying here for a while, E. I've really enjoyed the time I've spent with you lately."

Sam takes Evalyn by the arm and leads her under the tree, sitting down with his back against it's trunk and pat the ground next to him for her to sit as well. "Until the new year... That's a little under four months away... What're we going to do with you after that, huh?"

Sam laughs, shaking his head. "A good boy is never something that I've been..." he says softly. He puts his hand softly on Evalyn's leg and gives her a small smile. "Why'd you decide to stay out here for so long anyway?"

Sam laughs a little. He figured that there must be some feelings there. You don't stay in a town that you don't know that well if you just like somebody as a friend. Friendships can develop long-distance, but for a romance to truly develop, there needs to be physical contact. That was the only reason Sam could understand Evalyn staying for so long. "Well, I like you and think you're cool, too," he says back, laughing at how immature it sounds coming from him.

"More fun times," Sam agrees with a nod. He wraps his arm around Evalyn's waist and pulls her closer to him, resting his chin on the top of her head. "My family really liked you when you came to have dinner with us. I thought you should know that."

"Psh, I never would have guessed that you were nervous," Sam says back honestly. He looks down at her and tilts her head up, giving her a soft kiss on the lips. "I'm really glad you're staying, Evalyn. And I'm really happy that I met you."

"I'm sorry, did you... not want me to kiss you...?" Sam asks, wondering if he had read Evalyn completely wrong and that she didn't really like him the same way that he liked her.

"Good..." Sam immediately relaxes, leaning his head against the tree now. "Good. You had me worried that I had done something wrong and offended you."
