POPSTOP - VIDEO REVIEW

The video for Sophia's "Everything" is a bright, colourful and lavish affair which sees the GirlSpice pop princess in her most extravagant video yet for her new single, taken from her second studio album Temptation, available September 15 via Studio60 Records. The new song, written by fellow band mates Nadia Berry and Kimberly Gold, has received positive reviews from fans and critics so far, and is perhaps Sophia's best offering to date - mixing her soft, airy vocals over melodic verses, before the song's soaring instrumental dance breakdowns instantly grab your attention and become the highlight of the track.

That infectious energy in the song and Sophia's general bubbly personality all contribute to what makes the video to "Everything" so special. It's a real moment for Sophia as a solo artist and is arguably one of the best pop videos of the year, it's visually stunning and Sophia herself has never looked better. Whether she's floating on a giant pink fluffy cloud, sat on a flowery swing, dancing to the chorus with the moon behind her or posing with a unicorn for an epic dance breakdown, it all feels like something only Sophia could pull off. It's bright, girly, cutesy and has a certain innocence to it that you rarely find in pop videos that are becoming worryingly more pornographic as time passes.

She might not have the artistic credibility of Nadia Berry who's managed to become a huge star on her own, but that doesn't matter with Sophia. Because there's one important thing Sophia knows how to do better, having fun - which is what we all love her for anyway. Her video is so dramatically over the top and ridiculous, yet strangely fitting to her as an artist. Let's face it, it's not hard to believe this is what Sophia thinks about all day (unicorns, rainbows and pink clouds) but we wouldn't have her or the video any other way.
