"Why Does This Hurt" is the eight single from American-British girl group SYNCO the song was written by Layla Sanchez, Jamie Jackson and Ava B the song was also produced by Ava B Layla started writing this song during the girls' first album but never actually finished writing it when she was looking through songs she showed it to Jamie who also added a few lines the girls then brought it to Ava B who helped them finish the song this song is different from most of the other songs on the album it speaks about not feeling good enough or pretty enough to fit in this society each of the girls have struggled with this at one point in time and still do most of the time they also know that they're fans might feel that way sometimes as well which is why it was so important for them to get this song out there the song wanting the perfect body perfect face and everything and it speaks about how hard it can be not to have all of these things in today's society however at the end the girl in the song seems to accept herself vocally each girl really shines on this song mainly the bridge they really showed their how talented they each are vocally in that part the girls decided to release this track as a single since they thought it'd be a good idea to try and get the message across somehow they wanted to do it after the Fan Choice Awards though

The song begins with a repetitive beat as we hear the girls all sing "Oh oh" togetherthe beat continues on for a little before we actually hear the first girl come in for the first verse which is Naomisinging in a lower voice like usual Naomi sings her part well before Jamie comes in and finishes up the verse singing the same way but a little higher than Naomi we then hear the chorus come in where all the girls are harmonizing each girls voice blends perfectly almost like they're melting together we also hear Layla take two parts of the chorus with that unique light voice of hers however the slight rasp makes it sound so much better she doesn't add any runs in like she usually would but she still sings her part well after the chorus we hear Alex come in for the second verse she sings a bit lower than Naomi had earlier which is something Alex was known for her deep low sexy voice after Alex finishes her part of the verse we hear Nicole come in singing her part a little differently from Jamie but not too differently she adds a little more strength to it than Jamie did after finishing the second verse we hear the chorus once again which is sung the same way again now this is the part where it gets amazing the bridge which is shared by every girl all of the girls are showing of their vocals here in different ways Jamie starts it showing off her amazing range it then flawlessly switches to Naomi who takes the next part singing low and deep sounding seductive in a way as she does we then hear Alex come in after another flawless switch she sings even lower than Naomi did and she sounded amazing however she didn't get too many parts before it switches over to Nicole who was obviously putting everything she could into this song showing her range and strength we then hear it switch over to Layla who is now adding those runs in and using all of the strength she could in her voice which sounded amazing the girls then all finish the bridge together as they harmonize and this is probably the best they have ever harmonized before their voices blended together perfectly as they kept going higher with each word after finishing the bridge we're back into the chorus which is sung with more power and emotion this time than before by all of the girls after the chorus finishes we hear a little outro sung by Jamie this is the part where the girl in the song finally begins to accept herself Jamie really shows off her range once again here before the song comes to an end
