Derek, who had gotten up early this morning to get into the showers before everyone else, walks back to his cell. Today was nomination day and he had no idea who he wanted to put up for elimination. He liked everyone here and didn't know exactly how he could choose two people. He sighs and keeps walking towards his cell. As he gets closer, he smells a burning smell. He continues walking closer, curious to what it could be. He walks past each cell, noticing that all the mattresses were gone. When he gets to Florian and Destinee's cell he notices all their mattresses and that they had been burned. "What the hell?"

Sophia sits on the cold, hard floor in the Ring of Ghosts. Her hair's a mess and she looks exhausted from the lack of sleep she's had. Her body rocks back and forth slowly as she hums "Tomorrow" from Annie.

Derek makes his way back from the Safe Haven room just in time to hear the announcement. He wondered how the others got through the night in that place. He walks back to his cell to sit down. "I wonder what we have to eat today," he says as his stomach starts growling. Since he had given up his dinner last night in order to skip out on sleeping in the Ring of Ghosts, he was really hungry.

Derek is interrupted from his thoughts when Sophia comes into the cell. He watches as she collapses on her bed. "Damn you look like hell," he says referring to the fact that she looks like she hadn't gotten much sleep. "I take it the ghosts didn't let you sleep much?" He laughs.

Sophia sighs and looks at Derek, shaking her head just at the thought of last night. "Oh babes, it was awful, just awful!" She wipes away a solitary tear rolling down her cheek. "I couldn't see anything and a ghost was poking me all night, it was soooo terrifying."

She hears the announcement over the intercom and rises to her feet to make her way to the cafeteria.

Derek nods as he listens to her. He was feeling really bad for what she had to go through the entire night. "Man that sucks." He's quiet for a moment and goes to say something else when he hears the announcement. "Bacon? Hell yeah, Alcatraz people you're the best!" He quickly gets up and practically runs down to the cafeteria.

Derek enters the cafeteria and loads his plate with lots of bacon, pancakes, and eggs. He figured he could eat a lot now since he hadn't had any dinner last night plus he could work it off later in the rec area. He then grabs some OJ and goes to sit down at one of the tables. Before he started to eat, he thought about Sophia again. She looked like she was really shook up from spending the night in the Ring of Ghosts. He probably would have been himself too but he was glad that Daniel was comforting her cause he was pretty bad at comforting girls. He then picks up a piece of bacon to eat. "Mmmm this is the best damn bacon I've had ever," he says before he continues eating.

Sophia nods her head and tries to muster up a smile. She helps herself to some pancakes, a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice, taking a seat next to Derek. "So what was everyone doing last night when we were gone hun? Where's Tatina?"

Sophia almost chokes on her mouthful of orange juice as she gasps, "What?!" Her head drops a little, a sad look in her eyes, "That's sooo upsetting! So silly! Like... I know I don't know any of you well but we're all like a family now, right?! It's so sad to see people go."

Destinee walks back out, and softly closes the door behind her, going towards the cells, seeing the aftermath of Florian's display. "What... what happened?" she asks, immediately thinking that the ghosts had something to do with it.
